Christmas Wish List

Have anything you want for Christmas? Is it something you could probably get yourself, or is it so big no one can get it? Well, here's your chance!

 

We've done this a couple of Christmases, and it's always been a huge success, and so I figured we should try again this year, as well.

 

The wishlist works like this:

 

You make a list of 10 things (or less) you would like to get for Christmas. It can be anything from a new book to world peace. Anything goes. You post your list, and then you post a way for someone to contact you (I suggest email or PM, specify in the post) and then you wait.

 

Meanwhile you read someone elses list. Maybe there is something on someones list you have and would like to give away? Perhaps you have a spare jacket you never use, or a book you got but never read. Or perhaps you have amazing convincing skills and can convince the world leaders it's time for world peace. Either way, while you wait for someone to fulfill your Christmas wishes, you can do the same for someone else.

6. To meet the man of my dreams *g*

7. Money for plane tickets to D*Con (or just a random America trip if D*Con doesn't go through.)

8. Gift certificates to Waterstones

9. Gift certificates to Virgin Megastore

10. A nice long hug. A real life one.

4. Approval for the apartment I applied for and items for it.  Im starting over again from scratch as my ex took most of the neccesities.

5. To be taller!! (I'm 5 ft)

My wishes would be...

 

1- more time. More time for me to do stuff for ME. More time to spend with Peanut. More time to spend with my husband. More time to spend here. More time to spend on MSN. More time for the stack of projects I have waiting on me. More time to get work done at school. Just... more time.

2- an old-fashioned pen pal who doesn't stop writing.

3- good fantasy books.

4- an agent to sell my book for me so I can get to work on being the Stephen King of the fantasy world.

5- a Fly Fusion pen and paper set. I'm fascinated by that thing...

6- FF7:Advent Children Special Edition on DVD

7- clothes for Peanut.

 

 

 

That's pretty much it, I guess. I'll add to it if I can think of something. ;)

1) Money. Money for living costs. Money for paying the estate agents. Money to put down a deposit on a house for next year. Money so I don't have to buy cheap chocolate. Money so I don't have to worry about how much I'm spending. Money so I can buy books and have fun without worrying about the financal implications. (Yes. University is rubbish when it comes to money)

2) Stephen King's Dark Tower 4,5,6,7.

3) Fairy Lights!!

4) Theatre Tickets for Sound of Music, Phantom, Joseph etc.

5) This Dress. That's me wearing it but I couldn't afford it so I just took a photo!

6) Book Vouchers.

7) A really easy knitting pattern which includes increasing and decreasing! And I mean REALLY easy!

8) To see my best friends.

6) Good grades in math and chemistry

7) Any of the Dark Tower books between 2-7

8) Any kind of pretty yarn

9) Nice pens, because they rock

10) Knitting needles or crochet hooks (you can never have enough)

Anyways, let's see if I can come up with things that I want.

 

1. Stress toys. I teach special ed now and I always need stress toys for them to keep their hands busy with.  Any small, squishy or fiddly toy is fine. The idea is that it's something they can fiddle with quietly without causing distraction, or getting so involved in they stop paying attention to the class.

 

2. Tablecloths.  My tablecloths are all a few years old and are in a sad shape. Earth tones will go with my dining room. I'll give you dimensions if you need them.

 

3. A scarf knitted to look like an Amyrlin's stole. Because I think it would be awesome to have.

 

4. An ancient Aes Sedai symbol pendant from Badali. I never seem to pick this up at Dragon*Con when I've got a coupon handy.

 

5. A V slicer for my kitchen. I can't make thin slices with my chef's knife, because I'm terrified of cutting myself. I could do it with a V slicer though. Then I could make scalloped potatoes and pretty salads!

 

6. Port wine glasses. We've recently gotten into drinking dessert wines, but we don't have appropriate glassware.  Really, anything wine related we'll like. It's our new hobby.

 

7. Candles. I adore candles.

 

8. Anything related to US history, especially the Civil War. Books, movies, artifacts, etc. It looks like I'll be teaching this subject for awhile, so I want to build up a good supply of stuff.  And not just kid stuff, but movies and books for me to learn more from.

 

9.  Mail. I love getting mail. Postcards, letters, etc. I smile every time I open the box and there's something from one of you there.

 

10. To see many of you at Dragon*Con this year. It's our birthday! Let's party!

1.  a real Linnea flower..from Sweden.  That's what a twinflower really is and my name!  I've seen pictures, but never the real thing!

4.  china from Brighten Springs pattern...the serving dishes

5.  new couch

6.  to visit Lor and Peanut for a week or two!

2. North & South BBC series DVD (I can't find this anywhere in Finland! *cries*)

3. books about different cultures/religions (not religious books, though :P)

4. post cards and letters (I collect cards too ;))

5. visits from my online friends

6. a holiday abroad

7. a wooden necklace of some nice color

8. cookies (without any kinds of nuts)
