Olver?

He was spun out in TFoH, and since then, no more than a year, probably less, has gone by. Besides which, we have RJ's words on the topic.

Q:  Is Olver Gaidal Cain?

RJ: No.  I didn't really think that this would last as long as it has.  The timing is wrong.  He has another reason for being there besides being a red herring, though.

Q:  He's too old.

RJ: Yes.  Time in TAR and the real world run at different rates, but it never runs backwards.  You may spend an hour in TAR, and a day has passed when you get back, or you may spend a day, and an hour has passed when you get back, but you'll never go in on Tuesday and come back on Monday.

Q:  Is the difference in time constant?

RJ: No. It's fairly random.  Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes the same as real time.

Q:  It's different for different people, then?

RJ: Yes.  Unless they're together in TAR.  Then the same amount of time passes for them obviously.

Ishamael manipulated him, and played on the well founded distrust Bonwhin had created within him against the Aes Sedai--and likely used a little compulsion besides.

Excuse me for Asking, but what evidence is there that Ismael manipulated Hawkwing? Taking into account that Hawkwing was actually very ambitous, the fact that A.S. were responsible for the breaking and that A.S. were always trying to put strings on Rulers why is Hawkwings hatred of A.S. attributed to Ishamel.s influence and not Hawkwing's own rationale interests?

Olver as a hidden Choosen or Dredlord, I guess possible but where is the evidence for the theory?

i thought it was stated somewhere, cant remember though, what i do know is that ishamael was free for 40 years during that period, and that Hawking had aes sedai advisors before he got manipulated, correct me if im wrong though. Ishamael also changed the prophecies that the son of hawking took with him i believe, thats why they are all different, Tuon noted that the prophecies here were different from theirs, and there had also been no notion of the Dragon reborn bowing to the crystal throne in the records when hawkings son came over the ocean.

the evidence for Ishy manipulating Hawkwing is in Robert Jordan's World of the Wheel of Time.  Hawkwing turned against Tar Valon after a mysterious man showed up and became his advisor.  It is noted that in the 40 years he was in the public eye he never aged a day.

Also Ishy's own statements support this.  You can find this in the GH.  Maybe someone can give the exact quote.  He manipulated the High King into sending his stongest heirs off to Seanchan and Shara.  Also Hawkwing would have lived longer if he had accepted Aes Sedai healing.  Ishy had him put to death those who advised him to seek healing.  Had Hawking survived his available heirs would have had the time to grow old enough to follow after the death of the high king, thus avoiding the hundred years war.

Depends, does the baby get the soul upon conception or birth?

Good question...I wonder if Randland has some equivalent of Roe v. Wade :p

In this case, it's completely irrelevant since there is such a long time between Cain disappearing from T'A'R and Elayne getting knocked up.
