puh Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 i just want to say that i have reed the first five books and i just can`t stop reading them Jordan rules!!!! :)
Vambram Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Keep on reading them, puh. Oh, and it is generally agreed that the sixth book, "The Lord of Chaos" is the most exciting so far of all of the eleven books of the WOT. Somewhere in books 7, 8, and 10 you may begin to feel a little bit differently about RJ's books as being the best ever. However, I promise that the great stories and scenes in books 9 and 11 will make up for any disappointment that you just might have with books 7, 8, and 10.
Gympok Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 The only one i have a hard time getting htrough is book 10. So slow, but the begining isnt too bad. I love everyone freaking out in the first half of the book. I am actually jsut starting it on my third reread.
RobertAlexWillis Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 You just finished book 5? Before you go on ... who do you think killed Asmodean?
RobertAlexWillis Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 LOL ... its sort of a Dragonmount hobby of mine. Supposedly it should have been "intuitively obvious" after reading book 5, so I try to ask people before they get any more information from later books.
dmanmiller34 Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 One of my 2 favorite books by far are book 4 and book 11. I love book 4 because that is where everyone starts to branch off and i love the whole 2 rivers battle ground. and book 11 is well awesome for more ways than i can say.
Gentled Ben Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 I liked 4, 5, and 11 the best, myself. I didn't really care that much for LoC; I thought it was anti-climactic after 5 (THAT was an exciting book, btw), and I haven't seen this general agreement to which Vambram refers that it's the most exciting book in the series. ??? In fact, most forum polls like this one that I've seen rank book 1 ahead of it. I did not vote in this poll, btw, as I think there might be other viable choices beyond simply "best" or "sucks." ;) If I had to choose, I'd choose best, but really, those are two (too) extreme choices.
Ealdur Tinuviel Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 If they sucked, I don't know why I would be here wasting my time. The answer is intuitively obvious to the most casual observer...
Charlz Guybon Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 You just finished book 5? Before you go on ... who do you think killed Asmodean? I had no idea when I first finished book 5.

oosquaiaddict Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 At the end of 5 I thought it was Sammael.
dlan4327 Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Hmmm... Best or... sucks. SO much choice and variety. Oh I just can't choose, it definately doesn't sucks but unfortunately I can't call it the best. I still rate the series very highly though. ;)
