As far as busdriver use I will definitely disagree. This game has several alignment revealing roles. There is no mention of a Godfather to protect any mafia from views so I would assume that it doesn't exist. Why wouldn't mafia look to protect themselves by switching with townies to get themselves cleared? Or to try to get a false red peek on someone which would also put suspicion on the person that claimed the peek? Potentially 2 easy days of town lunches from one action. That you are not immediately seeing this is very troubling.

Ok I’m with you on the role thing, did not track that.

 

seems like the simp is a GF, but that’s TBD.  I am tired of hearing that it’s troubling, sus me if you’re gonna.  I see the options, but I also understand the math and the plays well enough to know it’s not a good one.  Why should I compromise the results of my own investigation waffling on the *potential* disruption of a role that may have been used ineffectively?  
 

let me restate that more clearly.  This scenario requires

 

the role would be wolf aligned (almost always true)

 

the role has infinite uses and was used last night (give that one 80/20)

 

it was used between a townie and a wolf (which I think is suboptimal, but let’s call it 50/50 for the sake of your argument)

 

I targeted 2 townies, 1 of which was bus driven (1/6 shot of their ability aligning with my target since so targeted two people)

 

completely disregarding play or reads, were spending our day debating a scenario that to my mind has *at best* a 6-7% chance of happening.

 

This isn’t worth nearly so much as it is to have you and SD duke it out.

This bit is just false. He can be Completely, totally wrong about your alignment and still be town and right about other things. I understand having doubt because your PoV is that he is making up his read of you. It is not necessarily true. He could just be WRONG. Your assuming that his having you as mafia automatically makes him mafia is damaging to town. The first rule of mafia is you can and certainly will be wrong sometimes.

I think looking at the people currently voting for Sinister atm, my money would be that Turin is the Mafia. He's being awfully nice, reasonable and helpful atm. He's also not very sketched out by the mechanics.

Tbh I wouldn’t expect him to need to mimic that, I’d expect him to feel it more as a wolf.

 

its not a game response, its a personal one.  Leaning into it is the easiest thing for a wolf to do.

 

i say this not to reinforce that I think I’m right, but because I think it’s not a good argument for a read.  Of course, it can be resolved later.

 

fwiw, that’s the role I least think is directly town aligned.  I’d give that to a wolf in a heartbeat.  Neither of those arguments do as much for me as your prior experience modding him.  That’s where I am at least.

Unless some people had more than 1 role.

So I think maybe not all of the roles are in the game just to mess with us.

 

The only people I've seen with more than one role so far are those that received a parcel role at some point.

That makes sense, keeps it from being an open setup.  Two of the roles are death roles and one is mason (which would affect two people), so there should be 19 available for the 14 slots.

 

id expect folks to have one role.

I'm voting SD. Not looking at you. I agree that the today's choice should be between because if you right then one of us is mafia (SD). And we need to resolve that. I understand that tomorrow I'm probably bait if he is actually town. The other possible reasons for your result need to be addressed. You can choose to disregard this out of hand, I'm not.

The list of roles appears to be all inclusive. Nothing not there will appear.  I take that to mean no 3p. I doubt multiple mafia teams but with no real flips it's possible... I guess.
