Could never paint them though. Got a games workshop book explaining how to that cost £25. Step 1. Paint the basic areas the basic colours (skin, clothes, weapons). Which was the bit I was having trouble with. £25 quid for one useless sentence. It still hurts today. 

 

No idea where all my old moulds are. Probably in my brothers attic somewhere.

if you want to try again, you can go into the shops and they sit down with you and show you the paint techniques. They will even give you a free model and let you use their paints, the first time. And you can keep going back fir extra lessons and skills, like adding transfers and stuff.

My boy tried the spray primer, but he held the can too close to one and it slightly melted the details. So now he uses slightly watered down base paint in fine layers. He actually uses black for the base cos then the shadows are kind of built in.

I am unbelievably heartened from the fact you think that would be enough to overcome my natural inabilities. It is very sweet of you. 

 

The only thing I ever learned about painting models was if you lightly brush plastic models along the exposed edges with chrome paint it makes them look like metal models that the paint has worn off on. Which has the amusing result of when people try to pick them up they instead throw them across the room due to how much lighter they are than they think. Is genuinely more amusing than you would imagine. 

 

Plus I don't think there are any Games Workshops here, certainly not in Nijmegen. Sadly.

We are quite fortunate to live relatively close to a city.

 

The new models are quite clever that the paint doesn't seem to easily bleed into the wrong areas.

That was a disappointment.  No QTs at all now. Which means you can't share the Mafia Chat, even if they give consent.
