Crazy Manipulations (An RP Proposal)

Hey all! With so many coming back I'm hoping to do an RP I have had in my head for years, so here it is.

 

An Eyes-and-Ears sends word to her contact in the Tower. In a keep lives a fairly well-to-do lord and his guard force, and he owns the surrounding lands (farms and one nearby town). Something, however, seems amiss. The contact has noted that lately, citizens who've visited the keep seem unusually fascinated by the lord, complimenting him and his home whenever they can. Many of the town's young women have even moved into or very close to the keep, leaving an obvious public imbalance. The contact stresses it may be well worth a sister's time to check it out.

 

Assuming I start this with Jagen, she'll want other sisters to accompany her, maybe two, and a Warder (or more), and even her own Asha'man bondee. We all gather up, plan, and depart for this keep.

 

Not sure if I have to lay out the entire thing, but we find the "source" of this "problem" and, needless to say, it's going to need to be brought back back to the WT for safe keeping.

Thoughts? @Taymist what do you think?

I have no problem with the idea. Sounds like it could be a fun one for you to do. If the active players are within Tar Valon there's no need for anything more and you can just organise it amongst yourselves. If it ends up being an inter-Group RP then I'd like at least a basic, structured outline. It doesn't need to be exhaustive just a sensible 3 stage plan for a start/middle/end. I would like to know what exactly the "source" is that needs to go to the Tower for safekeeping and I'm sure Kath would too.

That works for me. If it's going back to the Tower just ensure it gets added to their existing list of objects.

I definitely will ^-^ ...wait, where is this list? ? In the website I found all the forms for angreal, ter'angreal, etc but not the actual database of what we have.

Hmm, I'll check the staff board and the old threads. I'm sure I saw something. Admittedly it may have been just the cache from the Bowl of Winds haul.

 

But there really should be a list for people to refer to I think.

I parrot tay in full. It all sounds great to me and my only real question was about the source. Your answer works for me. 

 

Tay we can work on a master list of items from archives and or start a new one now.

I've just been hunting for that list. The only thing I can find now is the website list of angreal and ter'angreal which I presume is more a complete reference from the Books rather than what our WT actually has.

 

I'm still sure I saw a Bowl of Winds cache somewhere but yes, a new list would be a good idea. Anything people notice missing they can always let Jagen know about, for instance personal ones or ones people know they've applied to use, and she can update it.

Also I found a conversation with Arath in the Staff board essentially discussing the two main caches that were found. Admin approval was given at the time (by Owen and myself) for the BT to catalogue and take submissions for the Stone of Tear contents along the same lines as the permission given to the WT for the Ebou Dar/Bowl of Winds cache. So there definitely should have been a list.

 

They were just going to be the good old multiplier kind of objects; all manner of ter'angreal, and *maybe* a sa'angreal or two.  Other than Callandor. (Arath's words) I don't know how far they got with that but I'll check the email and see if there's anything in there. The existing list of BT objects are on their website HERE for reference.

Red Ajah has access to a Ter'angreal maker... >.> if they know where to find Megan. ? I'll re-read this thread to see if I have anything helpful to provide.

I've added two ter'angreal to the WT page... the Red Ajah's "Brother's Keeper" Box, and a Brown Ajah one called "Book Finder."

 

I figure if we get a master thread, we might as well just link the BT and WT Objects of Power pages, and then perhaps have a list of ter'angreal out in the world.... maybe.

Yep, as long as they're clearly assigned to the correct RP Group, that's fine, Jagen.

It's been a while since I wrote much, but this kind of thing may be a great thread for my Red Carraidhin (who is adverse to the use of power for personal gain). I don't think i have written her enough on here so a pre-curser RP would be nice to get the juices flowing.

 

If that is too many Red's I'm okay with sitting it out too.

Yes, back on the original topic... I think anyone is welcome, the more the merrier. And if the Reds suspect the guy involved may be a channeler, they'll want to corner him (before escorting him to the BT, probably). So more than one or two Reds would be perfectly fine. And any other Aes Sedai who might have an interest.

 

Any other sign-ups?

 

Also, it might be more interesting to do this pre-Traveling/Pre-Dragon Reborn, etc. Thoughts?

That is okay with me. ?

If it's pre-books then remember it's not part of the official PSW and you'll need to RP it on the Turnings of the Wheel board. Which also means it has no impact on the WT records. So you can have whatever objects of Power you like.
