It's harder to PoE though if a) people are inactive b) risk of a deepwolf sneaking into your town core, but just because someone is in your town core D1 doesn't mean they have to stay there or even should stay there for the entire game.  It's always good to re-evaluate people, especially after flips that don't make sense.

Meh...just trying to decide if Illian is LHF or actually mafia here.  Nothing they've done so far has really wowed me even remotely.  I feel like the reads they've given are "easy" in the sense they are basically town reading the 3 most active people, which...fine I guess.  Even after several people have said that town reading Chris that early probably isn't smart, Illian stuck to the read so, idk.  I'm not sure if newbie mafia would be more or less likely to let people talk them out of a town read or not.  The lack of a response to my question about which of the nulls they'd like to sort is bothersome, given I asked pretty shortly after they posted and they just kind of up and disappeared.  But there's also kind of a lack of anyone defending them at this point that makes them feel alone.  I mean, it's possible the entire scum team is just inactive.

I mean, that's ~fair.  But I don't even really know who that would be right now other than you...maybe Dice.  I suppose I could go back and see if Dice said anything about Illian when I get home from work and have some time.

Then there are players like me who randomly choose people in the game and either are really far off or on point.

Example: the last 2 games where I flat out guess the remaining mafia, then get lynched by town, or shot...*shrugs.

I didn't say that.  You said people who were being widely town read. as far as i can tell, the only people town reading Chris are Illian and Hallia.  And I'd expect anyalignment!Hallia to town read Chris (caveat on that is I haven't seen town!Hallia vs mafia!Chris, so idk how that'd look).

Players like Clov, Cory, BFG, Nyn, etc.  to at least a fair extent or higher, will try building a Town Core first and narrow down their suspects pool till proven adjustments are needed.

I dont know how much stock to put into wildfire's post about her approach, but it felt pretty sincere. 

 

I just dont know whether mafia!Wifi wouldnt be able to reproduce that, given it's not actual content.

Do you think newbie!scum would townread me if their entire team was like "hopefully Chris isnt the deity so we can shoot him" or "You're better off just tow reading him than trying to lynch him"?
