What IS spec? I am still too new to know all of the lingo.

 

My son and his girlfriend are really into backpacking, and knowing Ratchet, I'm sure the dog is, too. I might go with them someday on a short trip, just a few days. Like, hike in a day, spend a day or two, hike out a day. It might be a lot of fun if the terrain isn't too tough. Those Rocky Mountains get kinda steep, and I am old and fat.

A spec thread or dead thread is a thread for people who are not living in the game to observe and discuss the game amongst themselves.  Sometimes it has information in it such as who is on what team, what abilities were used and when/by who etc.

Ah, that makes sense. I am used to Shad being mod because of another game, so when I saw his post, I assumed it was a mod comment, and it made no sense. Now I see it's a request to sit in on the sidelines. Thanks for clarifying that.
