I have been. I'll continue to be. I ain't complaining about being sweated.

 

But, their entire focus today has been to push my lynch with a "tinfoil" theory. 

 

I dunno what to say, man. It is what it is. When a player rolls the tinfoil out, says it's only a theory and that they are not actually making a case, then spends the entire day making a case, I get bad vibes.

 

There has been no focus on any other player. You all had a perfect chance to get Hally to sing, and now she slides for another day. Like i said before, this town wasted too much time letting Darthe live, has put up with too much emo from Nolder and now you get 24 more hours of me instead of somebody you haven't heard from. 

 

I'm VT. There is no pr claim against me. No case has been made against me that isn't admittedly based on meta and tinfoil.

 

I think we got a lot of soft feelings and not enough street smarts.

Just caught this - I have not claimed that anyone has been recruited. As Tress mentioned, she was setting up her move last night.

 

I did point out the possibility that a recruitment could explain the lack of a NK. I see it as a useful observation and mentioned it so that we could spot anyone who suddenly changes opinions or behavior. 

 

* Again, I see absolutey no point in wasting a NK on a person that is most likely protected. The scum team could've taken their pick of other townies and hit. 

* Not to get all wrapped up in the theme, but the members of Fight Club did join as the club grew. I figured we might be looking at a recruit scenario as soon as the theme was announced.

 

My point in saying that Tress and Zander have been pushing for my lynch all day was:

 

* Tress specifically stated that she was not casing me and that her theory was just tinfoil. Then she spent the entire day casing and pushing me. So, she either fell in love with her own tinfoil or she knew in advance and knew that she needed to be subtle in the way that she served it.

 

* Zander has followed Tress blindly. He went for the tinfoil hook, line and sinker and jumped in to help Tress push my lynch. Who does that unless they want someone in their pocket?

 

My observations about Crusher's meta are true, but that doesn't make it the only scenario. Crusher could've been on the scum team with Darthe and just lost interest in the game because of it.Nobody that has suffered a Darthe plan before has much interest in doing it again and it's obvious now that Darthe was in full form.

My thoughts re Tress' tinfoil:

 

*I would have never agreed to a Darthe Coroner reveal . That was just stupid, as I pointed out then. Given Darthe's record for reveals, I would never have agreed to him revealing at all. If he had done it anyway, I might have subbed out, because what's the point?

 

*The idea of a Darthe/DPR/Nol triple gambit is just way over the top. The fact that both Tress and Zander have thrown it out there as many times as they have, even for lols, should trip alarms. This is just terrible distraction that keeps the town from discussing the actual game. 

 

*Tress based a good bit of her tinfoil theory on Wifi's read of me. The read stuck out among the others, which BFG and Tress noted. But Tress pushes it further, claiming that it was Wifi's effort to cover for a scummate. At no time does Tress also entertain the idea that it was an effort by Wifi to try and get me to stop looking at her. Wifi's reaction to my joke vote was weird - everybody noticed it and everybody thought the same thing... It's okay to admit that now. In that light, it would be plausible that she thought that I was really looking at her and by saying I looked town, she might have hoped to throw me off her trail. 

 

Look at it in reverse: if I was scum and wifi was town, how would she have played that? Not by acting the way she did. And if wifi and i were scum together, she would have never had the reaction she did to my vote.

 

What makes more sense to me is if Darthe and Wifi were on a team together. Darthe would have been free to Derf, which he did, and Wifi would have been nervous, which she was. Then, when Nolder subbed in, he would be surly when he found out who was on his team because he and Darthe are such good buds. This could lead to Nol being overly emo, difficult to communicate with and him not actually playing even though he signed up to play.

 

No tinfoil. Just common sense based on what has actually happened.

I'd say that you are:

 

1. Glib: Answers such as "why?" and "does it matter?" are not adding anything to the game and just exercise the person asking the question.

 

2. Willfully ignorant: your steadfast denial to read the game and comment on a particular point convey a lack of interest in a town win. Because Wifi's reaction has been brought up so many times, a person subbing in for her would offer commentary on why they thought she did what she did, just to move it off the plate so the the town didn't waste more time on it. Your refusal to read it or discuss it leaves it open for endless speculation, and it has been used as such. 

 

3. Sloppy: I don't remember a game where you were so committed to a case based on meta alone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your entire focus on me is based on meta? To make it worse, I don't see you putting in half the effort to look at anyone else.

 

Simple logic tells you that we're not down to the last scum. How do you justify your play?

You know what would be cool? If each payer could ask each fighter 1 question. Keep some action in the game and potentially get some new info.

1) I've already explained I was trying to make a point. It's called rhetoric.

 

2) I think it would be more correct to call me honest. There are a lot of people who obviously don't read mafia games fully even when they start in them. There's also people who are endlessly catching up and also people who promise to catch up but never do. I would have been the guy who was endlessly in catch up mode but never does if I tried to read those 40 pages. It's a chore for me. It's boring. It's like grinding levels in an RPG. I don't like to do it. I am more useful to the town and to the game as a whole if I just jump in. 

 

3) It's the circumstances. As stated above I have my reasons for not wanting to reread the thread. So I'm left with what I can see in the past 30ish pages and meta, which means I'm going to rely heavily on meta. I've noticed you appear to be on what I've recognized as your scum meta so I'm going with that. As for looking at other people, I will when you're dead. I admit I get tunnel vision.

 

 

As for justifying my play, I don't think I have to beyond what I already have. There are a lot of players that get away with a lot of things because it's just what they do. Zander for example kind of spams and just posts a ton but if I did that I'd be accused of post fluffing. We each have our own styles and some can do what others cannot. That doesn't necessarily make it scum or town play it's just their style. I have my own style and at times it is a stubborn one but I have an underlying belief that my sincerity as town shines through and it's something I can very rarely fake as scum although I have managed it on a couple occasions. People can see what I'm saying and they know that even if they don't like how I'm playing or what I'm saying that I am still saying and doing those things as a townie even if they think I'm wrong. I hope very much that will be the case in this game.
