Rules of Engagement:

1. Fight Club Rule #1 - There is no talking about Fight Club! Only post / talk about the game in this thread. Don't PM other players. Don't post anything about the game in other threads or on other forums. Except for the mafia team. The mafia team can communicate with each other privately during the night phase and only the night phase. Please - don't even mention this in jest on Skype or FB.

2. You may only post in the thread during the DAY. But only as long as you are a live player. No dead posts, please.

3. Days will be 48 hours. Night will be 12 hours.

4. Vote by using vote tags or using bold and using the Vote: prefix. Votes should look like this: [v]Player1[/v] I [probably] will not count improperly formatted votes. You DO NOT have to unvote.

5. This is a game of lying. Players are expected to lie. No statement or promise a player makes within the game has any force outside the game. As an example, a bet offered in a game is not something you can collect if you win.

6. Keep it civil. You never know when that person trying to steal your seat today might be needed to keep your seat tomorrow. Politics is a bitch that way.

7. Do NOT edit your posts.  Only the mod can edit posts.  Because he's the mod.  And the mod can do whatever he wants.

Lynch rules

1. There is no majority lynch in this game except for at lylo for the sake of being able to keep the same schedule throughout the game. Whoever has the most votes at deadline will be lynched. Tie votes are explained below.

2. At lylo these rules will be in effect: Votes will be LOCKED IN. There will be no unvoting or vote changing, so make sure to vote wisely! Day ends immediately once majority is reached - do not post once this happens even if the mod isn't around to call it.

3. No lynch is allowed.

4. Ties end in a coin flip. In the even of a tie, the tied players' names will be entered into a list on random.org to determine the lynch.

Balance Setup:

1.  There are 13 Players.

2.  There is 1 Seer with a n0 peek.

3.  There are 3 Goons.

4.  All roles and alignments were randomly assigned by random.org.  Thus, there are no fake claims because they are not needed.

5. Character claims are allowed since they are provided merely for fun and flavor. Feel free to share, in fact.

6.  Scum can not communicate during the Day.

You may now begin stumping.  Day does not start until 9:00PM EST.  Votes will not count during the stump period.  This is a good time to make alliances and grease palms...

*waves @ Leelou*

I'll probably be scarce most of today until actual day start, we're moving my grandmother's belongings into her new apartment at assisted living today.

My mom will expect my full attention.

Hi everyone!

I will be scarce Thursday because I have an exam, and Friday because I'm overseeing someone else's exam. Other than that I should be fine

Happy visits to Vegas, Leelou! Sounds fun!

This is a post Tom made awhile ago about how to leave plausible seer cover, if you are wondering at all how to play in a vanilla game with a n0 peek:

So here's what's gonna happen. We are going to leave ADEQUATE, ACTUALLY PLAUSIBLE seer cover in this game TOWARD THE END OF EACH DAY because that makes it easier to pick obvious villagers and makes it more annoying for wolves if they can't scratch someone off of seer contention early.

It's most important to try and show a consistent thought process about a player. Pick 2-3 who seem like obvious-ish villagers early and maintain a positive read of them and seek their opinion out more if possible.

Things NOT to do:
-Use big tiered lists before you've chosen a fake peek; these will give you away if your peek isn't at the top
-Fake peek someone whom you've already called wolfy or implied COULD be a wolf
-Use absolutes in your language for people that aren't your peek (e.g. I'm 100% hes villa, I'm confident he's a wolf)
-Openly combat or harass your peek
-Yawn with disinterest if your peek is wagoned at EOD
-Fake peek someone you traditionally read very accurately, it won't be believable

Things you SHOULD do:
-Peek villagers, especially D1 since you'll be right 75% of the time even with random guessing, but by EOD your odds will be even better
-Interact with and weigh the opinion of your peek as a source of backup judgment
-Use language like "99% sure" for strong reads that are not peeks
-Say things like "I have no lock villagers" if you peeked a wolf and vice versa (though not that specific phrase since I mentioned it obviously)
-Think in advance on who you are unsure about and who you would peek on N1 if you were seer, and drop the result at the end of the next day, leaving your language ambiguous until then so you can't be busted for making it up

If everyone does that, we increase the odds of winning substantially

Just leaving this out there as the survival of the seer is extremely important in this set-up.

Not going to be harassing or telling anyone what to do, just some advice if you're looking for it.

Right, most of you don't know what that is.

This game is confirmed to have a cop/seer in it.  We don't want that person to die but they can't protect themselves and we can't rely on a doctor to do that (because rules elsewhere dictate that doctors can't self protect and aren't a given in setups).

What this means is that people "fake" peeks.  Everyone, or almost everyone, should toss out a fake N0 viewed ____ town, N1 viewed _____ town etc and the cop puts their real one on thread so that if the cop is night killed we can go back and see who they viewed as town.

Similarly, if someone gets fake peeked by a lot of people it increases the odds that that person really is town.  Also, if someone now kills me thinking that I am the seer that (not completely but like 80%) clears Tress because if they thought I was seer it means I had a good peak.  We would call tress Seer Hunt Clear or SHC.

I prob am not the real seer this time so don't sweat it if you don't all covered for me.  Does that all make sense?

For anyone who doesn't recognize it this is (in terms of tone and structure) a really townie way for cory to say this.
