Lavinya was part of the group of sisters that first visited the Black Tower and was forcibly bonded - she's pretty traumatised about it all, she won't be wanting to return (she conveniently took a mission to get out of the tower when a delegation came to Tar Valon just to avoid them) but that could still be an interesting discussion, should Lavy be approached about the mission either being asked to go or for information or whatever. :)

I don’t want to usurp this thread but can you link me that RP in a PM/DM? I’d really like to read it. (And, if it’s important, add it into the WT Timeline)

  2. I have taken on a large project where I will be going through all the Ajah boards and making a "master thread" of infomation in a particularly structured manner. Such a post will include all information relevant to that particular Ajah, (everything your character should know) and one of the sections will be including important/major RPs that the Ajah has done.

If you were involved in RPs that had a major influence on your Ajah and/or the Tower itself, and it is NOT an RP already listed on the WT timeline (updated on the WT website), please let me know and post it below.

For Warders, I am also requesting the same for you if you are bonded (the Ajah info applies to you as well).

    Thank you all!

(Note: The Red is the only Ajah I do not need this done for as I have already completed their Ajah Information thread.)

Edit to add: This is why I will end up doing posts on all Ajah boards in the coming weeks/months)

  3. Kristen, my Red Sitter Jagen is gathering a whole party of sisters to visit the Black Tower, and various RPs thus far ar her talking to different sisters. We could do that too? My White will also be going.

For everyone who has an AS or Warder:

The White Tower website is updated as far as the timeline goes. So please be sure to check it out. ICly, the timeline hasn't budged at all (a few days, maybe) since the last major RPs in 2012. (For the WT anyway; and the BT as far as I can tell; I have no ideas about the others).

Can you all let me know your character(s) and what their positions/ranks are by posting here? I'm doing updates for both the boards and the WT website.

  4. OMG YES MOAR PEOPLE!

I’m so glad to have you all!

welcome back Sherper, Cass, tisme and KristenSedai!!!! ❤️❤️

Also Kathleen says hello and welcome, too! (We’re currently sitting in the DM party at JordanCon!)

  5. Astradore drew herself up slightly. It was a heavy question. How did one fight a war with doing the least to cause harm? Aes Sedai were trained to fight only to an extent; after one passed the oval testing and gained the shawl, there was not much more she learned as far as battle weaves went. Maybe those among the Green Ajah taught such weaves; they did have that nickname, after all. Astradore had been thinking about that a lot, lately. She had been thinking about many dark things she had never considered before.

"Each sister has her strengths," she began carefully, trying to organize now-tumbling thoughts. Goodness, she had her ideas, but convention kept her from voicing them. It wasn't that she could not say them. Rather, she was worried how her sisters would react to her ideas; especially those in the White. "We also have our weaknesses. We know the Greens will fight directly against the Shadowspawn, when the Last Battle comes." She paused, then added almost as an offhand note, "And perhaps even the Reds, with the Asha'man at their side." Goodness, what a change that was. She wished she had her shawl on. Just to have an extra layer of comfort.

She frowned inwardly at the illogical thought.

"The Yellows will offer Healing, and I think any sister who has the ability to Heal, even a mediocre ability, would best be used in such a fashion. Others can make gateways." Perhaps she would do this. Perhaps. "How each Ajah decides to support each other be will up to them. But was your question referring to us as a whole, the White Tower? Our Ajah? Or just us--you and I?" Her eyebrows rose as she asked the questions. "Who is it you do not want to do harm to? In a fight against the Shadow, is their such a thing as collateral damage?" She blinked as she realized the last question that came out of her mouth. "Forgive me, sister. I wonder if I am over-complicating your question."

  6. Jagen did not comment or even react to Carraidhin's parable comment. As long as the other sister understood the point of the story, that was all that mattered. Her story was meant to be a lesson, the other sister knew that. The Sitter would have been disappointed with any other result other than the one Carraidhin gave.

"When you first heard of the Black Tower, it was before the taint was cleansed, yes? Or was it after? Myself, I am curious when you came to this conclusion, and if the taint, or its absence, changed your initial judgement?" Her answer would be curious indeed. Jagen had returned to the Tower the moment rumors were confirmed the so-called Black Tower existed. She was ready to march with her sisters to take them down, until she had spoke with her fellow sisters.

"Phaedra si Artema Dematre is the Highest as of quite recently. Many of our more influential sisters have stepped down from their official positions to take to the front lines, as it were." Or wherever some of them had gone; either way, few remained in the Tower and had willingly given up their seats. Jagen wondered how many of them had done so in protest of where their Ajah was headed. But she had not asked such things; it would not have been appropriate.

"It has been discussed and decided to bond Asha'man as Warders." She took a sip of her tea, recalling Aslan. "But since the proclamation went out, other Ajahs have expressed such interest. This is where we must make our move. Under Phaedra's approval, I am gathering sisters--mainly Reds, but also others--to form a party to approach the Black Tower formally. We will tell them exactly why we are there; to bond them, and move forward together."

  7. Astradore thought she perhaps knew this tapestry Lillian referred to, though there were a few which depicted scenes of wonder from that past age. And while Aes Sedai did not necessarily train to kill either, they did have to focus on some amount of battle weaves to fight Shadowspawn.

"I almost wonder if we are better off now, or worse, than in the Age of Legends, to fight when the time comes. You bring up a good point. Aes Sedai back then could conduct such wondrous feats we have lost the weaves for, but they did not know how to fight, did they?" She took in a breath and let it out slowly. "Perhaps that was why Lews Therin and his Companions were on their own. Everyone else saw they could not truly fight."

It did not mean she supported what happened back then or how it happened; it simply was history. The Wheel wove its Pattern.

"What is it, sister, you are examining, precisely?" she asked of Lillian.

  8. Astradore looked thoughtfully at Camigwen as she asked her question. It was not something she wanted to give an answer to, but she did need to think about it. She could not very well tell the other sister she wanted to hide away in the White Tower until the Last Battle came. It was hardly a plan, anyway.

"My plan is to talk with the Reds," she began. "They are the first who have bonded male channelers, and the  concerns over the taint should be discussed--we do not know, for example, if there are any lingering effects. And what about being Bonded to a man who already has some level of madness in his head? Will that transfer to the sister? Will it somehow change the warder bond? Is being bonded to another channeler different than a non-channeler?"

She adjusted her shawl. "Even though I support bonding, it does not mean all avenues of approach should be discarded. Instead, we must weigh the risks and study what we can. Then make our final decision." She paused briefly, drawing in a breath. "To that end, Jagen has already suggested we form a party to visit the Black Tower." After a brief pause, she asked, "What first comes to your mind, sister?"

  9. Astradore left the library, securely fastening her small scrip closed. She had needed some new ink and quills, and preferred selecting her own quills than leaving it up to a servant to do. The Aes Sedai was all about a cultured appearance, right down to the appearance and quality of the every-day things she carried, and that included her quills.

And having a pristine appearance was going to be important, she thought, for dealing with whatever she was going to find at the Black Tower, if indeed she really was going to accompany Jagen there. She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. What was she going to do, when it came time? Perhaps one of her own Sitters could give her a task, to let her out of this one.

Was she being illogical? She wondered on it as she rounded a corner, only to see a fellow White, Lillian. Of course, she was close to their Ajah quarters. She looked at the painting Lillian was looking at herself. A noble family. Astradore could not place where they were from, based on the clothes, but she gave a haphazard guess at Cairhein. They looked short and pale enough.

Lillian turned and smiled at her. “Astradore, good to see you.”

"And you, Lillian." She moved up to join her. "Do you know who they are? Or simply contemplating?"

Do you know if we have to go through a process to join RP's or can we jump right in where we left off?

I say just ask whoever you left off with. I'm good at picking up old RPs, and don't mind doing so, if the IC timeline hasn't moved much :D Since we only have so much activity right now, it's easy to work with who is available.
