Valid points (at least the first 4), but I was responding to a comment that all the apparent subterfuge to keep a secret that it was poorly done and didn't fool anyone - even without the book background.
None of my family members or the wife have guessed who it is.
*shrugs*.

It's way too early to be talking power levels imo...

Everything Josha is doing as Rand.
Stubborn and suspicion of Moraine.
Love and Angst for Egwene.
Leadership And awareness in Episode 4.
”I’m with you” to Mat.
Loving him as Rand.
There’s more I love but I’m grateful we have an actor that looks like he can cover Rand’s range.

The critics are up. Has the audience gone down, slightly?
I think audience was at 82% yesterdayI personally don’t rely on rotten tomatoes but it’s interesting to see the aggregate

Did Episode 4 drop at 12:00 AM EST across the entire USA?
It dropped for me at 7pm EST on Thursday. -
Wife is convinced Nynaeve is the dragon now.
We both loved the episode. She was screaming at the tv as Lan was bleeding out.
If each episode keeps getting better like this… watch out GoT

Only thing that matters to Amazon is viewership.
As long as people keep watching it’ll keep getting made.
Also Witcher season 1 was great ? I say that as someone who never read the books.
The general vibe I’m seeing Amon non readers for WoT is liked it to meh. No hate. All the hard hate is from book readers

It’s simple but…
Keep: Cat crosses the courtyard.
Cut: This is tough. Need time to think but I feel some of the later books could be combine into an episode or two.- DaddyFinn, Still Trench and Katherine

LOTR like DUNE took multiple attempts before getting them right, personally I think they are still trying with DUNE.

Rand. Josha has just encapsulated the character. Excited for future scenes

It’s not how I would’ve done it, but the Perrin wife thing easily explains his character in a way that causes viewers to empathize with him rather than be annoyed.
Because unlike the books we don’t have access to his thoughts, viewers would be incredibly irritated or in disbelief over his reticence to violence or interact with Faile

So my thoughts on this…it does go back to the limited episode list of 8.
That said…I think the disparity is actually a true visual representation that hammers things home. Women have the power…and men who have powered are to be feared (channelers/white cloaks) The books definitely had more nuance but with only 8 episodes it’s important imo to hammer home who holds the power in this world.

I have concerns with the show, but all in all enjoyed.
my non book friends loved it. My wife loved it. Heck my parents loved it.
the past two pages here have been depressing. Like I get the need to vent. But it’s not all bad.

I thought it funny that there is/was all this mystery about who the Dragon is, making major changes to the story, background etc to have this great season long mystery, and my wife who has never read the books, says it's ***** and she knows this during the Moiranes Winespring Inn scene. So much for really keeping the mystery and hooking non readers. Everyone knows just like in the books, so why all the stupid convoluted revisions?!?
Checking my friend group...they're all leaning towards it being Egwene or Mat.
My wife things it's Perrin.
?
It's working better than you would believe. Check Reddit.

Aside from Egwene being insinuated as ta'veren and the DR having the possibility of being reborn as a girl, I think pretty much every change is justified as trying to improve early character arcs and condense information down into a limited runtime.
They had an 80 million dollar budget. Do we want more episodes with less budget per episode? Maybe. Maybe we'd have sacrificed a lot more on sets, visual effects, and other production costs if we did. I think there are structural issues with what the release product is, I'm not saying it's perfect, but I think the claim that Rafe doesn't care or respect the source material is just... well... bitter.
I greatly enjoyed the first 3 episodes...I do think the series would strongly benefit from being 10-12 episodes longer. Once they get the pacing down this will be an epic tier show.

I love the show but waste of an episode.
We only have 8 episodes and they spent a whole episode basically on a side character who dies.
