  1. Hard disagree. I think it's inevitable at this point. Mat and Min are going to need something to do.
  2. And perhaps not the correct one. It was my impression that this was still part of the uneasy alliance between Mo and Lanfear and that it was Lanfear who actually shielded Sammael. I base this opinion on the conversation between Lanfear and Rand where she talks about Sammael being Rand's teacher.
  3. I’m not seeing how that helps your argument. They literally name drop the thing you says doesn’t exist.
  4. The Eelfinn give gifts. The Aelfinn do not. Both were name dropped in the episode. I don’t see much support for your theory.
  5. Just based on the fact that there were two doors? That's a massive leap in logic.
  6. 2 people doing the same thing 10 years apart is an absurdly small sample size. You can draw no conclusions whatsoever from such a thing. It would be like me saying I've been to two hospitals in the last 10 years and have only encountered female nurses. Therefore, male nurses don't exist. You also ignore the fact that we've actually seen the snakes represented in the Snakes & Foxes game.
  7. So? That doesn’t mean that there are no Aelfinn.
  8. How does that prove that they are not distinct?
  9. No. But I didn’t mention you either.
  10. I’m not sure how this is responsive to what I said? I didn’t call you out. Didn’t mention you at all. Are you suggesting I am “unwilling to check … positive feelings?” Because that is demonstrably untrue.
  11. This is super subjective. To me, it was very uncanny valley, which made it sort of terrifying. But I can see where it would come off as cheesy. It’s not the easiest thing to get perfect in a live action format.
  12. I think at the end of the day, the rancor comes down to two diametrically opposed things: (1) People who feel really let down that their vision of what this show could be was not realized and feel the overwhelming need to vocalize that -versus- (2) People who really love seeing this thing they love on the screen and finding it very frustrating that people keep wanting to poop on it. Neither is wrong. Both deserve validation. Which is why it is best to ground our posts in specifics rather than broad generalizations. But even then, there’s just no way we are all going to agree. Which is okay.
  13. In your opinion. That opinion is not shared by everyone. I’d be willing to take that bet…
  14. Unfortunately for those of you hoping for the end, I think it is more likely than not that we will get another season.
  15. I really enjoyed that episode. Very appropriate that Alviarin is the one who killed Siuan (not Elaida). Enjoyed the fact that Liandrin had just a little too much love for Nynaeve to just straight kill her. I'm feeling like they're setting up an Ingtar arc for Sister Strongjaw. Tower of Ghenji is still in play!! Loved the Finn. Creepy, uncanny, goofy looking one moment, menacing the next. Looks like they're going to move Mat's 'missing memories' to next season. Interested to see where they go with that. I don't think Thom is dead. Thought Siuan's voiceover at the end went a little long and ended up stealing some of Rand's thunder. Nonetheless, good stuff. Loved the little foreshadowing of "Veins of Gold" at the beginning. Clearly the best season by far. Would be a damn shame if this was it...
  16. We learn in S3E1 that all of the Emond’s Field Five are stressing the importance of staying together. Homesickness. What is it? What makes it ‘incredibly dangerous’? The show has not established the Ways as being particularly dangerous except for those that channel and therefore draw Machin Shin. The fact that the writers didn’t explicitly tell you why he decided to take that route isn’t bad storytelling. But keep going off. You’re doing great!
  17. Perrin traveling to the Two Rivers isn’t a “mistake”. Not explaining why he didn’t take a different route isn’t bad storytelling.
  18. Perhaps heading down the coast where the Seanchan might be was a suboptimal choice. And, I know this may shock you, but sometimes real people in real life make decisions that aren’t optimal. Maybe he just had a hard time deciding what he wanted to do.
  19. Maybe the fact that they had horses had something to do with that.
  20. Maybe he wanted to spend time with his friends. Maybe Moiraine wanted to keep them all together. Maybe going to Tar Valon and using the Waygate there was still faster than traveling by land from Falme. Not everything has to be spelled out.
  21. Well, he did know that he murdered the father of a guy who knew him as “Two Rivers” and that dude seemed a little unhinged at their last encounter.
  22. Goldeneyes though. Also, Perrin may just have asked him offscreen given the need to use the Ways and his generally helpful demeanor.
  23. He and Perrin have been together since the end of S1
