Also, regarding Sansa, I feel like she's been puffed up a bit.

She may have gained some Machiavellian tutelage under littlefinger as well as retain her own natural intelligence....but I feel like the show has pushed it to absurd levels.

Like you mentioned about the leather and the breast plates. Sansa may be intelligent and she may be a schemer now but where did she learn war? Where did she learn such a minute detail of war?

I think they just wanted to take advantage of the actress (I think her name is Sophie right?) and her uhhh presence? Charisma? IDK whatever. I think they're giving her a larger role than she might have in the books is what I'm trying to say.

 

Well considering how outmatched the Lannisters looked back at the start of the season, it shouldn't be too surprising to see them turn the tables a bit and become a threat again. Having them get rolled would be rather anti-climatic from a story standpoint.

Olenna got to go out with a nice middle finger at least. Confirmation of Tyrion's innocence re: Joffrey I imagine will probably effect Jamie's arc in some way.

 

re: Lannisters I disagree. The real fight is with the dead. I could absolutely see them getting rolled in 2 or 3 eps and the rest of the show focusing on the dead. Obviously it's not going that route but it could have.

This is why they shouldn't have killed Ramsey.

That was the house he and Arya stopped at in S4, where he robbed the guy and his daughter and justified it by telling Arya that they weren't going to survive the winter anyway. A clip of that was in the "previously on" prior to the episode.

You are right but she didn't say anything about that before the suiced. She tried to protect him by not letting him go to the trial. That is why I thought it's the suicide that she meant was the betrayal. And that's just sick.

I hadn't thought of that.

I guess the betrayal might be leaving her after everything.

 

Kings Landing: Cersei has totally lost it. It was horrible when she said that Tommen had betrayed her. Ugh!

The High Sparrow made her do that walk of shame (not to mention what he did to his wife) and Tommen didn't lift a finger.

In fact he turned around and basically joined the person who did that to his mother, rewarding him with more power and authority.

Furthermore he was going to stand aside as she was "judged" and likely executed.

Not saying Cersei doesn't deserve all that and more but I can absolutely see how that seems like betrayal from her point of view.

I agree with Sansa. Out with the old and in with the new. There has to be consequences.

Surprised that no one mentioned that GRRM gave Westworld permission to have a Westeros world if they wanted it. I don’t think they are going to go in that direction, but thought it might be a fun way of bringing back Ned Stark, Robb Stark and other characters that have been offed in the prior 6 season.

By the way: Can we lose the spoiler tags now? Everyone here seems to have seen the movie/tv show and wants to talk about it anyways. If anyone comes here to read the thread there’s nothing to ready anyways because everything is wrapped in spoiler tags. It just makes reading everything cumbersome.

I dunno, I would guess it's safe to lose them now. I think this forum could use some kind of consistent rule like spoiler tags must be used for the first month and episode/movie airs and then it's open season or something.

What will the second season tackle? How the hosts are recieved in the post-modern world? That would be cool, but a bit of a rehash of the "vampires amoung us" theme of True Blood (ie, how does human society react when we learn that we aren't alone).

Dolores turning out to be Wyatt. We had Bernard really be Arnold, William really be the Man in Black, do we really need another "X was really Y all along" twist? One is a good surprise, two is still interesting, three is beating the trope into the ground.

I like Wingull but Peliper has a fat mouth. I prefer Ducklett and Swanna. Same type (water/flying) but much better looking. They aren't in Sun/Moon though unfortunately.

Actually I also have what is probably now somewhat rare event pokemon from Diamond/Pearl era. I have Shaymin, Regigigas, and Arceus as well as a few other things iirc.

I have been playing on and off when I have time since it came out (through 1st 2 islands).

 

Have not played since original red game. But, this has been fun.

 

I picked the terrible seal though and just benched it after its 1st evolution. I could not look at it anymore.
