  1. Well, I'm back, but it looks like I won't be able to finish this game. Workload piled up too much. I'm reading at top speed right before class starts, up to page 15. So far Nolder doesn't look great cause he's trying to start a train on Sooh based on the disagreement between our stated N0 results even though I openly said I wasn't a cop. I chose that view at random.

I never tried to start a train on Sooh. I even questioned the usefulness of it. If you want you can call that nudging or whatever but it wasn't my intent.

Also I missed that before about your view. Thanks for making it useless and providing less cover for the rest of us.

Does anyone have a decent amount of familiarity with LZM?

He was mafia in an ongoing game on JN. I've played with him more than I have several others here. Not entirely sure what that is worth read wise though.

My notepad is very confident he is a villager. I am less so on a personal level, but I generally adhere to the notepad, for it is far wiser than me

I'm putting a note to peruse some some wolf games for reference before committing to that read

Put a note to NOT read the JN game. It devolved into personal nonsense.

  3.

Yeah, it seems like anytime someone doesn't understand what he's doing, his default reasoning is that they must be scum.

    who is scum ben?

Cory, possibly Nolder for hiding in the N0reads, then going against his own N0 read and jumping on my train for a thin reason.

Going to bed and on mobile so no long response just want to ask, Ben how do you know if I'm sane or not? Better yet how do I know? The answer is I don't. Voting against results is not abnormal in this game.

Cory what is your avatar? It looks like a sad little girl in a crack house.

this is the album art for brand new's masterwork "the devil and god are raging inside me"

now watch rick and morty u plebian

I'd give Nolder partial credit for the answer.  It's not correct, but it's not entirely wrong.

Now, what's interesting about the answers is...are they lying? Would either of them dare to lie? If they are on opposite teams that might be a risk but if they tell the truth they are sort of locked into reading each other a certain way for the rest of the game. Of course that's all irrelevant if they are both mafia but what are the odds of that.

Unless we were mafia together, there is 0% chance either one of us would lie - both of us would bust the other's balls about it, and it's not like we're new players.  BFG, Sooh, and Dice have played with us both a ton, and several others are fairly familiar with us.  I can't even fathom we'd lie if we were m/m, just because it's such an easy thing to disprove for minimal benefit.

Well that's kind of my point. If you did lie it would be very telling.

I'm not expecting either of you to do that. :P

  5.

A question before going to bed.

Clov and Cory - what is your history of reading each other? Are you mostly right/wrong about them?

Clov is very hard for me to read, especially in a small sample size. If I'm being perfectly honest in games we are v/v typically one of us ends up dying before I can cement my read on him haha

Definitely more right than wrong, and I'm pretty sure above rand both ways.  I think he's probably more likely to tinfoil on me when I'm town, but I'd guess he's probably slightly better at figuring out when I'm mafia than I am him?

That vote was made under the impression that "breaking the game" meant trying to, well, destroy it, which was incorrect, and he since unvoted.

In other words (sorry, but I was managing 3 things at once), he had an incorrect impression of what was happening. And with the impression he had, that vote is logical.

Don't care, his stated reason for his vote isn't why I have a problem with it.

    Eh?

His reason for the vote isn't why you have a problem with it? What does that even mean?

You have a problem with a vote for another reason than somebody's reason for it? Only other way I see one could have a problem with a vote which is unrelated to the person giving it is if that vote is on a scum mate.

Let me put it this way. He says his reason for voting is X, I think his reason is Y.

I could be wrong but my point is that I am disregarding X as the real reason for his action.

    Hope that makes more sense.

Only if you tell me Y.

  9. Hey, Nolder. Sorry I missed you.

This is my third full game. Still trying to grasp the ideas and I think I get scum hunting and such, but each game has had its own "element" to it, so I suppose that part sort of confuses me a bit, such as the cop and framer roles, and the insane cop. I'm not sure I get how those actually work. Trying to watch and see, and learn.

But for me, right now, trying to stick with scum hunting as that part makes the most sense to me.

Ok. I was trying to decide whether the newbie act was legit or faked but it's probably still legit. Honestly I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing half the time I play this game lol.

Your plan is probably a good one. Some advice I gave someone recently might apply to you here: if you feel lost try to pick out someone who you trust or think is town and just follow what they do.
