You don't like Nicki?

Less IMO. At least with the first viewing you didn't know exactly what was going to happen. Without that factor Prometheus was a pretty boring movie I think.

Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World.
Actually a pretty cool movie. I think it paints a fairly accurate (if a bit comical at times) portrait of how people would really act if the earth really was destined to be hit by a giant asteroid that we couldn't stop. My favorite example of this is the main character's maid who comes back week after week to clean his house even when he tries to fire her twice.
The ending was a bit...off I think. I dunno. I found it hard to believe Penny could make it back and find Dodge in time even if she would actually have turned around the plane (which I don't think she would have). I guess what I'm trying to say is it felt like a forced reunion for the sake of having a "happy ending" right before the asteroid hit.

Just watched Silver Lining Playbook.
It was a weird movie about two messed up people but it all came together in the end.
I was expecting a comedy and what I got was more of a dark and slightly quirky romance.
I liked it though. Definitely a movie you have to be in the mood for and invest a little time in because it's a bit offputting at first.

Just watched Skyfall
Loved it
I liked that it was more about BOND and less about the "flavor of the year" mastermind who's trying to take over the world
Daniel Craig is still one of my least favorite Bond's but for once I didn't actually hate him in the role
Only thing I missed was some cool gadgets
I get what they were going for though
It's Bond's 50th anniversary and they were paying homage to where the series came from by giving the film some throwback references but still
They could have given him something more than just palm reading gun I think

How did you beat the second battle? All those drones just tear me apart...
-
Full name of what? FTL? It's Faster Than Light.

FTL
wow... This was actually pretty fun. Bought it on sale from steam (like $6)
RIGHT?!
I just played a game of it this morning. Still can't beat the final boss even on easy but I got to the second battle finally...

Not a fan of Tarantino at all but I'll probably check this out at some point
As someone who isn't expecting much maybe it'll surprise me

Just played a demo for an indie game called Teleglitch
LOTS of fun
So much tension just walking through a door or around a corner
Not really knowing anything about the story (if there really is one) and not caring regardless
Reminds me of some old school games I used to play

I just got back from The Hobbit
I happened to watch it in 3D because my uncle had never seen a 3D movie before and wanted to try it and I was pleasantly surprised
The 3D effects didn't feel gimmicky or forced like most movies except in like one part but I didn't mind
The movie itself was awesome as expected
The beginning was kind of...ehhh I didn't really like the prologue stuff and felt it tied in badly but once the movie really got going it was fine
My favorite thing was the goblins
I was extremely pleased that they looked very different from orcs as that is something I was concerned about
I'd say they nailed it
Can't wait for part 2!

I never played DK64 but I am very surprised to hear that you put it above Banjo Kazooie

This is how wars start

Just finished watching The Sunset Limited
I liked it a lot
I know a lot of people find these kinds of movies boring
"Oh they're just talking in a room nothing happens" but for some reason those kinds of movies really get me
I loved Phonebooth and 12 Angry Men and The Sunset Limited is right up there with them

Re: Starship Troopers
I don't understand why we can't appreciate both the book and the movie for what they are :(
Re: Hurt Locker
Huh really? Did you see Restrepo? If so what did you think of that one?

You did not just call Doc "the professor"

Jirio Dreams of Sushi
Its a documentary... And I highly recommend it.
I thought about watching that
Did you like it a lot?
Well, just to note, its in japanese (english subbed) and its about an 85 year old sushi cheff, that won a 3 star michllin(sp) award. His resturant seats only 10, and costs $300+. Its basically a documentary, of what they do, and, in some sense, how they got where they are today. This guy... My god. if he had come to america, he could have done anything.
I used to watch quite a bit of subbed anime, not a problem.
Snow white and the huntsman. Two hours of my life I'll never get back...
I know right?
It had some small potential in certain areas but those were totally overshadowed by...the movie...
I can only say that I didn't regret it so much because I had reduced price tickets
Hunger Games. The only redeeming factor was the fact that it felt like it stole four hours of my life, but in reality it only stole two and a half. So there's that...
Really? Everyone always tells me how amazing it is when I ask

What I find interesting is that it wasn't even the first alien
The video I watched on youtube showed a close up of that mural in the one room and pointed out that an alien is depicted there
So yeah what we saw is not the first alien and it's not the one Ripley & Co encounter
I'm thinking that there is going to be a sequel to Prometheus to really tie together the "prequel" story to the Alien franchise
-
That didn't bother me
That seemed real tbh
Blind faith is blind faith and if you've got it you'll hold onto it for as long as you possibly can

I don't think they even attempted to answer them
If they did it went completely over my head
What are you listening to?
