Darthe - Being weird. #889 - Why is this a good post? I’m not sure what the point of this post was. I really don’t think it was like massively insightful into the alignment of Shad and it seems strange that of all Shad’s post, that one in particular stood out to him.

#914 - Not sure how characteristically Darthe this is. Seems like he’s making some overly obvious reads and going out of his way to state how some very ordinary posts are good and others are bad. 

 

Shad - Leaning town. It's the tone more than anything else. I haven't really seen him as aggressive as this early on D1 but imo he's got the tendency to overthink things and I can't be sure if he's got a scum read on DPR or if his frustration is more with finding out exactly how DPR thinks. I can chalk up his aggression to more that more than him entering the game as scum and overcompensating. Don't think the interaction with Eldrick is meaningful.

Blue what do you mean by "overly obvious" reads and what's the connection with #914 specifically here?

 

Last bit, I don't have a scum read on anyone at the moment.

 

 

@Blue, someone made a blood thirsty post so he's ready to call them a wolf. There's just something about his posts that seem off. Usually when I've played with Darthe he'll say something along the lines of "This person is scum. I don't know why anyone would see otherwise." and usually there's plenty of reasons imo to disagree with him. NB's post is too easy to comment as scummy and it just seems unlike Darthe in that regard. 

He's following the same trend of just making statements without giving reasons, but usually his posts have this sound like he thinks he's already figured out the game and I haven't seen it here yet and I wouldn't be surprised if that's because he's a wolf and isn't really trying.

 

 

Honestly, the DPR/Shad/AJ thing didn't really have much juice and doesn't seem like it's worth me digging into. It's like they're arguing more about the technicalities of the game and the state of mafia and don't actually bother too much about discussing bops or Elds alignments. Guess they've all handled it pretty well but doesn't really say much when the topic isn't primarily to do with this game. I'm gonna stick to unvote vote darthe and head out.

 

 

I'm not sure how I feel about Darthe atm but I feel like it's a waste of time to look at him closely today without prompting people to claim so unless something whacky happens I won't be voting him today.

Okay, gonna throw out an impromptu reads list. Know that I will probably/more than likely/almost positively be mistakenly mixing up people in my reasonings. Just saying

 

1. Darthe - nice - for one more day cause of his claim and that he hasn't been so uhm "pissy" for most of game. Though he was also "pissy" when he was town too. So not sure if I want to rely on his "pissiness." Just saying. darthe.

 

2. Shad_ - nice - If he was trying to pocket me with the blueness in his reads, succeeded. well for now, anyways. Maybe, possibly. But srlsy he has been pushing through the thread to find wolves. iirc.

Why does bop's "view" of Notbob mean Notbob is nice?

 

How am I "setting up calder"? And even if I were how does that make calder nice because of it?

 

1. Well isn't the definition of pocketing mean that the person you pocketed leans you nice?? and/or follows your lead??

 

2. Well bop viewed notbob as naughty and usually the viewer/cop is nice.  However, I think bop is naughty, so that would make notbob nice.

 

3.  Well for one thing: I don't believe your claim FULLY yet. If it is true Calder could be naughty/nice (vanilla).  No PR.  If it isn't true then you could be setting calder up to be seen as a teammate and your naughty.  At least I think that is how I was thinking about it when I did the list.

2. Yeah. One doesn't mean the other. Bop's "read" was obviously fake. Nobody starts the game with a red read.

 

Bop being naughty doesn't mean Notbob is nice because of his fake read. Assuming so it bad. It could just as easily be a ploy and they are both naughty.

I had developed a read on Darthe and I hadn't yet read through what AJ/Shad/DPR were chatting about. I did a super quick skim and saw a lot of heat and tension brewing so I figured there'd be some good info in there. There wasn't by the way and their whole topic of discussion didn't seem to be primarily focused on catching anyone, it was just comparing their game philosophies and making reads was secondary. It's easy to get sucked into as town or scum and at the end of the day wasn't really worth me breaking down to make reads on their alignment. I think the difference between me and you on our read on AJ is that you're taking AJ's openness to conversation as being town-related whereas I don't think he's been particularly helpful to town all things considered.
