The quips about Shad needing to get out more are probably nothing more than that so I wouldn't take those too highly into consideration. They don't bother me at least, I think that's just his personality to bust balls so null.

The part about him seemingly having no read is my problem currently as well. The back and forth reads more like deflection if he's not actually taking anything away from it. I'll wait for him to respond though.

What I'm talking about is more like this:

I get the impression Shad is focussing on rep more than this game. I say that because we are in d1, barely past (or maybe not even) the shitposting and it would be silly to spec on player's alignments so early because of the high-percentage chance that you'll be wrong.

 

What's his take away from all that? I can probably assume but what I want to see is the connecting of the dots and follow through otherwise it reads more like he's just deflecting and arguing to counter punch rather than actually try to resolve Shad. It's the progression that matters imo.

I skimmed the first 20 pages or so, standard stuff (though I always love seeing what people I've never played with end up posting during D1 garbage time). Focused a lot closer from page 30-current. First:

Certainly not - everybody has ticks, but the point of this game is to be a chameleon. To *not* play the same every time, so that people can't peg you through meta. I've played loud, quiet, aggressive, scum, town, drunk, whatever. I'm genuinely surprised that people depend so much on meta now - it's weird, like once your known for a meta, you have an obligation

to live up to it. It's baffling.

We talked about this last night btw. FTR.... AJ never getting a town lean from me D1 and he knows it. And Halli seems to have the feelz that DPR/Shad thing might be v/v. Not sure I agree with that. God help me, but I think Shad actually sounds legitimately frustrated where's I feel like DPR is just having a laugh. So yeah, like I said before, I'm watching DPR. He can make all the garter jokes he wants, won't get him far

I fully admit I can't read her for sh*t... and usually I sorta lean on someone like Sooh that seems to get her (if she's a town read).... but just involvement wise, she feels a little without compared to some other games I've seen her in.
