Halia only gets off work in like 2.5 hours I think. So I'll touch base with her when she catches up and see if she has any additional thoughts. To be fair, I don't have a problem with Eldrick so far as it were. I don't feel super confident at reading him (partly cause I'm not sure I've seen him as scum, or if I did I don't remember) but he doesn't feel that different from the recent game where he was hydra with Sooh. He's eliciting the same facepalm reaction from me to the most part....

lol agreed. It hasn't hit me as hard yet this game, but there has been a couple, and add the manic posting I'm feeling pretty good about Eldrick right now.

If town consistently NLed on D1 more games would be won. Townies typically get killed D1. Huge advantage day for scum. But, no lynching is boring to people.

My last seven town games here:Tarmon Gaidon -- wolf D1Overwatch failDisney -- wolf D1Julius Caesar -- wolf D1Lost failDragon Reborn -- wolf D1Warcraft -- wolf D1So no.

That is too small of a sample size of handpicked games you cherry picked to present.

If someone slips of course you pounce. But, town gets in this mindset that they have to lynch someone even when they are spinning in circles. No lynch is an underutilized tool.

I did totally monopolize on it when I was scum and we were at F-4 in Clov's game. Even after it was fairly obvious that I holstered my NK so we would start day at 4 players and not 3. People were still stuck on not allowing a no lynch. And honestly... I kinda have this inherit dislike to no lynch... and i'm not even sure where I got it from... but it's there.

A no lynch shouldnt be the goal, but it should be on the table in early game scenarios. Players that want it off the table are taking a weapon away from town.

Also Shad just refused to vote in a D1 game. So I dont think he truly disagrees.

A no lynch can be a good tool when there are even numbers of players towards lylo. I firmly believe no lynch helped town last game.

Is anyone else having an issue with their posts loading? I have to refresh like every time.

I was having some issues earlier, but I thought it was just my slow connection.

Finally caught up! However I have to do a malware scan on puter.

I'd like to hear your thoughts when you come back then.

I'm afraid to ask why

It might just be my phone then. I have shoddy reception at work

Ya, better not.

My response to you.

I don't recall you asking me anything in your response. So what was I supposed to respond to?

This is going to get confusing after a while.

"Aren't you going to respond to my response to your response to me not asking you to respond any further when you refused to respond to my request."

Did I get it right so far?

I'm just poking fun a bit since she gave me some shade for not responding to her statement that didn't need responding to.

Yeah, I'm petty.

All you're doing is making yourself look bad, honestly. And not necessarily game related, even.

You asked me for reads. I brushed you off and you said... nothing. That's not how I expect you to react.

I made an observation about finding your behaviour odd. you addressed it. I have nothing to say about it for now.

So... yeah... totes the same thing.

I'm agreeing with Sooh's lol. Could be bop laying down cover for Eldrick after he was called on his posting.

That's a pretty paranoid way of looking at it. Eldrick was getting more positive feedback than negative, so it's not like he needed to be bailed out of anything.

Eldrick is very likely a villager in this game, and Bop's a good wolf but seems entirely villagery so far.

If "Shad randing villager" is the cherry pick key then go me?

But it's really not.

It's villagers trying hard, and forcing each other to adapt their reads as the phase progresses, and lynching from the pool that can't put out.

It's like in Tarmon Gaidon when Believer was all "D1 is just a crapshoot who cares" and a few clowns agreed with him and in the meantime we had two wolves dead by morning and the third in the bottom of everyone's POE.

D1 is only a shitfest if we choose to make it one.

Agreed that on rare occasions, when d1 play has resulted in a lot of folks going back and forth and making calls that bind them to positions, a NL can be a good idea. But it's rare.

irt the above, we don't really play hammer games here and the only one I was in that went to D1 no lynch I was pretty pissed about.

I don't view my vote as a high value 'pressure' tool pre-EoD and I sometimes don't want to influence the lynch itself depending on the situation.  I exploit this meta as a wolf where it suits me.  I can't fathom ever supporting a no lynch in any situation that is not exactly 4p lylo with all cards on the table.
