This post was aids to me btw. My scum partners in past games have shown the same need to inform people of when a town read is based off bad reasons. They seem to think it will make them look more towny.

I'm not passing judgement on your argument itself, but hadn't Sooh just basically done the exact same thing i.e. explain to people why they were town reading her for a bad reason?

If i was Cop id assume id be dead the moment I claimed.

The chances of him dying are good, but he should still play with the assumption he somehow survives. Not doing so is giving up.

I'm being absolutely honest, and while it's objectively early to have claimed, Marsh was the cop in the buffy game and got NK'd on the first night anyway, so I figured I'd at LEAST try to help town with information and maybe try and help guide towards a solid D1 lynch instead of getting picked off before having the opportunity to help much.

Your right. Except this time Calder isnt on the side of evil. So cop was automatically safer.

Unfortunately I know this puts Marsh in jeopardy as well, as IC, because there's reason for scum to shoot either of us N1. But I felt like we were spinning our wheels without really getting anywhere, deadline looming not far ahead, and I'd prefer to use my role to it's maximum potential, even if that means having to claim on D1

 

 

I dont get this claiming when you didnt have to is the worst chance possible for max potential.

 

You even mention Marsh getting NK1 last game and I dont think he claimed.

 

If your Town I have a hard time thinking you thought of Marsh last game and that claiming while under min pressure and there being another train and 7 hours to go would give you the chance to MAXIMIZE your Cop potential because if youre telling the truth youd be Scum's  # 1 target.

 

 

Ok, I'm going to explain it yet again, because I asked you to answer me directly when asked questions, it's only far I live up to that myself:

 

Marsh getting NK'd N1 played a huge factor into my decision. He didn't get to use his abilities once, and we lost our cop N1 without ever reaping any benefit. I feel like you are mafia, Zander, which would tell me that if I'm not lynched D1, I"m likely going to be NK'd. It was a calculated risk, but I decided I wanted my posts and my flip to mean as much as possible if so, and give town an edge if I do survive by allowing them to dictate my reads. This even means sacrificing what I'd LIKE to do most, view you, if that's not what everyone else thinks would be most productive. 

 

I don't think it's fair to say I was under min pressure. I've acknowledged I wasn't facing a train or anything, but you and your tunneling on me no matter what I say or do feels like pressure, so I did the one thing I felt I could do at this point to get town to focus and to use my posts and / or flip when killed to help. 

 

I can accept that you don't agree with how I've handled this or with my decision to claim, but you can either accept that it's happened and use it, or you can continue to drill on me. Either way I don't care at this point, but you're really starting to seem desperate at this point.

Random. I like that you want our input, but the decision is ultimately yours. Don't go with majority vote. That takes your power away from town. You don't know the alignment of those that are giving you answers.

The persistence on Random post-claim is sketching me out because scum!Z struggles to change course when he really has to.

 

This was the first game in ages where he didn't go ape on me hard and early.

 

If he's a villager it hasn't been super obvious, but his pre-claim pushing on Random reminded me more of how he went at Kat and Darthe in TG than his scum games. Basically a "what you're harping on misses the issue but this guy is reacting really weird to it".

 

It made me feel good about him in the moment, anyway.

 

His push on me earlier today wasn't really necessary? if he's scum considering I'd been expressing town vibes in spite of him not going off on me yet.

When I read it, it does seem like it's from a qt board. The blockquote tag does do exactly what she says it does.

 

I've never seen it anywhere else.

It feels to me like he was trying to say we are on a team together. Trying to tie himself to a townie, which I feel is a ridiculously stupid move, but that he should go down for it even if we do too.
