Not sweating my Zander read? I made it very clear what I thought of him. I didn't pursue a lynch because that's not something YOU DO at that stage of the game.

 

Nor did I suddenly push for a BFG lynch when I voted her. I voted her for a very deliberate reason.

You're getting cknfused. Earlier cory made remarks about not sweating his zander read because of how early in the game we are. Hours later, he is pushing BFG for not showing her town self. He then votes her for it before she has time to appear

 

One shows flippancy and a lack of urgency to develop reads. The other is an example of urgency and a pressing need to get traction now. Combined with him dropping a push on one and starting it on another I am utterly failing to see how nobody gets this

 

Ah, I see. I think you're technically incorrect about why Cory stopped pursuing Z, but this may be a paradox regardless.

 

There are some things you didn't mention.

 

e.g. cory did not explain his read of Z very well, even when asked, which demonstrates lack of urgency. and then cory voted bfg and insisted on the aptness of his read, which does demonstrate some urgency.

Early game you have her as a slight town lean for enthusiasm, then agree with Sili that she looks bad for tone/rigidness(?) and now have her improving? But how do you reconcile the enthusiasm and tone from early game?

Town with tinfoil? I LIKE her engagement and I THINK she's likely to be town but I'm tinfoiling a bit on some of her posts... I think it's more in an effort to explain myself and how I was thinking earlier. Her early tone was a little odd, both the stilted post that me and Clov mentioned and some other responses, but I think she's been LESS stilted as the game goes on. At the same time I don't think she holds up this level of engagement and fierceness as mafia so probably easiest to slot her town and just tinfoil, if that makes sense.

 

@Alanna: My reconsideration post was just that I got myself all confused and had a nagging feeling that there was something that bothered me between you and Kat and I wanted to keep asking about it. I couldn't figure out what it was so changed my mind about pursuing it. I brought it up again this morning and still couldn't find anywhere to go with it so I discarded it.

@Cory, the thing about Laine early game was because in our recent games I've given Laine an early town read for involvement which I've inevitably tinfoiled on but I don't think I can hold that as a valid tell any more should probably see how much of that game was unprompted though. Having said that in this case it was a town read that was then confused so /shrug

I'm not sure involvement is a tell for me, see my last game on PerC. =/ Any changes in activity though are due to RL things: I just moved out and have an apartment (full of boxes >_>) and I have a new job that's 9-5 so this is a huge adjustment period for me.

i've probably seen wolf!cory say he'll stop helping even though he has no intention of doing so before. it's a really subtle trick i've seen him employ as a wolf. it lowers people's expectations of him so that he can later exceed their expectations.

Lol, Regy was the easiest example, although I'm more concerned by the lack of explanation around why he was initially mafia than the switch. But more that it's a trend. Normally I can tell what reads Cory will have through reading his posts without him needing to spell it out, currently I 'know' his reads because he's 'telling' us. I don't know if that makes sense

 

There was a post about Sanders 'conditional reads' not coming from town!Zander, I'd expect a lot more of these 'show' posts if he was town
