Celeste replaces Zander!  She may need a bit before she gets here.  I would like to thank Nynaeve so much for helping me find a replacement.

I hate to, I try to keep mod interference to a minimum, but it happens.  Most of my modkills come from people not following the game rules.

Man, I hate when this happens :/ There's always the question of whether to give the replacement a chance or just carry on what we were planning. I think we should be obliging and give Celeste at least a chance to catch up and post, but it's going to take a lot for me to think Celeste/Zander is town, and even if she's good, I'm always going to wonder if she's just good scum.

I agree. Im not gonna push it until Celeste catchs up, but that slot is still my number one.

From the the beginning to that post I think Sirren is town as I believe her posts are pretty genuine. Especially the post where she goes "It's not the format that is hindering but the fact that most of the players are new". Andrej tone is kind of tilting me, it's slightly reminding me of wish a bit. Maybe that's just me though.

What's the argument on Kat?

Now that you ask I actually find it a little hard to explain, beyond maybe saying it's a gut read.

She made a weird comment about tinfoiling on some players, and then when asked about it her answers seemed vague and kind of half hearted. At least, that's the vibe I got.

They started asking questions when I head home for the weekend where I have only a phone and no PC and then want long drawn out answers to something that there are no answers for. I didn't even say anything was scummy. I didn't say I didn't like it. It just seemed weird. Y'all are reading a lot into stuff that I didn't say and I don't like how aj has just jumped on me for something that isn't anything.

I got a weird GUT feeling from the lenlos posts. I'm not sure what to think of it. It feels different from the past two games I've played with him and I don't know what the difference is. Honestly from his actions I think he could be town. I think if he were scum he would have jumped the AJ vote on me.

Maybe he's VT this game. The other games he was rolled. He just seems more loose this game.

And I have was tinfoiling a sili/lenlo team lol but it's just tinfoiling. Right now I'm honestly not sure what to think about Zander he seems very sporadic. Makes me concerned.

Lenlo - Haven't had issues with Lenlo so far. He's engaging pretty well and I haven't had a problem with the things he has questioned or called out.

Shad - Seems pretty villagery to me. There's been a few times that I feel he's missed on some opportunities to create discussion, but overall not a lot that worries me.

SiRReN - If I had to pick one to be my best town read atm, I might say it's her. Active and objective, getting involved when she could just take it easy using being new here as an excuse.

 

Balrog - Pretty much a leap of faith read. I've seen mention of his meta quite a few times, and I'm more or less going to trust people that know him best atp. From what I've been told, I can definitely see willingness to present thoughts versus avoiding the thread entirely.

Wildfire - Another that isn't super solid but for her second game I think Wildfire coming out and giving unsolicited opinions is probably a good sign. There was a moment early on where I questioned her intentionally for her thoughts where I thought her answer was decent. I was more gauging whether she'd try to force a read with little content instead of giving the answer I expected. She passed.

Dice - I'd be happier if I could pin a better read on Dice atp, but overall i don't feel bad about him. He's evaluating players in the way I would expect him to, so not really wary but still would like more involvement.

 

Hallia - Very soft read. Not much content to really process yet but she's been busy. I can understand her view point on Zander, though I disagreed with her town read on Sili early on. I don't think it's really indicative one way or another, we just look for different things. Still would like more though.

Sooh - Also very soft. I didn't really have issue with her read on me that some have pointed out, and I'm leaning more so to thinking that the snark in some of her replies to others is more villagery than not.

 

Calder

 

Key - Sort of wary here. I find some of the topics she's commenting on don't really have that 'big picture' feel, so to speak. I know that Key can play a pretty decent scum game, and although it's counter intuitive I almost want to tell myself that if I find her suspect that might be a good sign? Idk, I don't really plan on pursuing that line of thought. Keeping my eye on here as we move forward.

Flea - From what I understand WOTs are her meta in both alignments, so volume and effort are two things I can't weigh while reading her. I'll be looking for the details of her analysis, and her first big post missed some pretty obvious points imo. We'll see as she gets more involved.

Kat - I'm not really sure what to use as a guide for reading Kat, but I don't think she's had great posts yet. She's not around much either, so I don't have a lot to work with.

 

Snow - Pretty much self explanatory imo. No reads, excuses for no reads. Prefers to discuss mechanics and is more interested in proving he's good at it with past games than finding suspects. I have seen a few different versions of Snow as either alignment, so I don't think thread presence is really a tell. I don't think the lack of analysis is a good sign though.

Sili - I expect more from Sili if he's a villager. He's picking small things to talk about and not really taking a wide scope like I'd expect. Nit picking my wording to form a scum read was bad.

Zander - The replacement muddles things, but I think his content before leaving was suspect. I got the vibe he was more looking for reasons to attack me versus genuinely being skeptical. 

 

The groups aren't really ordered, just clustered together on relative impressions I have. Calder is dead null, and the group above and below could still probably be considered null but I wanted to show some separation as to which way i'm leaning on them currently.

I agree regarding Lenlo and Shad, add you in there and you guys are my top town reads at the moment for thread activity and pursuing thread issues.

 

Between Balrog and Princess I place Balrog higher because he's been doing what he typically does as town. I'd still like more content from him and as the game progresses and the player count goes down I think that his presence will go up just because he has less people to keep track of. Princess is null at the moment because she hasn't really made posts I associate with her town game, but I know she's been busy this weekend, so I'm giving her the few days grace she needs. I expect she'll be jumping in by Tuesday (and she did say she'd post some tonight).

 

Wildfire, Dice, and Key are at least names I'm starting to recognize just because they're relatively active. I know there's some contention surrounding Dice and Key, but I haven't really been able to see anything wrong myself. I'd still place them as null just because they also haven't done or said anything that is glaringly town to me.

 

Hallia and Sooh's names I kinda know from VS, but Sooh especially hasn't done anything that's made an impact yet. So...null?

Kat's activity is very low after the topic of her and AJ was dropped, which disappoints me because I think it resolved in her favour? (Correct me if I'm wrong) So I don't know why she's dropped except I guess most of you are American have fun freedom time?

 

That leaves Sili, Snow, and Zander for me.

 

I'm honestly not remembering a lot of Sili's content :( It's just not sticking with me, and maybe it's because I was so focused on Zander for a while. Snow I didn't have a problem with and I certainly still don't REALLY have a problem with him? Most people consider mechanics talk to be a scum tell because it's the safest topic for them, but he seemed to be suggesting he knows something more than we do, and I don't know why he'd drop that breadcrumb if he was scum, so he's got a town-lean from me just because I don't see scum dropping hints.

 

Zander is Zander, and I've already voiced my opinion on him, which is to say I didn't think his posts were from town. Now that Celeste is playing his slot I guess I should give her some BotD, but she's still in his slot so she's whatever he is, so unless someone in my nulls suddenly is SUPER scummy, I'm probably going to vote for her.

I have no internet at my home (the joys of rural living) and i have 2 small children and a husband that has recently started working part time on most weekends. It's really hard for me to mafia at home lol. I do try to keep read up and post if I see something addressed to me or something I think is important.

God I'm trying to get to bed--- first, that wasn't a review, those were questions, ldo =_= Anytime anyone else has asked questions, even when they were obvious, everyone has seemed pretty willing to re-explain or clarify, so yes, I do feel liek you are being a bit condescending here considering you have no personal experience with how I play. Also, just because something is obvious to you, who has played longer than me (5th game) and I haven't seen some of the answers you claim are in thread, even after getting most of the way through my ISO of you.

Can you point me to the post in which Sili, you or anyone else mentioned that Shad hadn't posted yet, so there was nothing to read on him yet? And if there was nothing to read, then I still find it odd that Sili was trying to read him.

I feel like you are judging me really harshly right off the bat, and considering I'm literally the newest person here, not sure how I feel about it, since you have otherwise been oddly tolerant of everyone else from VS.

And I'd like you to elaborate more on my final question to you, so I'll rephrase it-- with Hallia and Zander defending Sili for/with what seem to be superficial reasons, do you think this could be alignment indicative, or possible signs of either masons or a scum team?


It sort of bothers me that I keep getting so harshly judged when at least I'm trying. I don't mind if you disagree with an analysis--- but I haven't made one yet.
I don't mind if you want to question me, or think something I am doing is scummy, such as if my arguments make no sense, or I'm lurking, or doing something scummy.

But I'd really like it if my team actually tried to help me for once learn how to figure things out, instead of making me feel like I should be doing better just because they expect one thing and I'm not delivering fast enough.

I think she has pretty good posts except that she exaggerates her amount of games, I have less than her not saying by how much but less nonetheless, and I was told in my first game that you can use the newbie card only once.in your first game..and yes I used it....I will admit to that....heck I didn't even know what to post....which irritated the hell out of one person... but by the end of the 3rd day beginning of 4th, if not earlier, I got used to the game and the name calling...yeah I was called WildFLOWER... which really pmo but I just corrected the person, they gave me attitude after the correction, I corrected them again in a different quote in a different way, still got attitude, so they say 3rd times the charm: I said maybe I overreacted, waved the peace sign and left it be......you did the same thing in a different way of course...we are all different....I guess what I am trying to say is that you should have more of a back bone by now....Of course I don't know how old you are irl....I am guessing 14-16 or somewhere thereabouts?? you do not have to tell....just guessing....so if I take that into account....I guess I can see why you pick up more on the odd slights to your character that comes from playing this game....

I'm done and here. I don't like your tone but I'm willing to see you play a bit more before thinking if your tone is scum or just rusty town since it's been a while seeing you play. Snow is someone I believe is a lot more analytical than he is being. How is that scummy of me to think that?
