I think the general disgruntlement surrounding it is that charismatic players don't typically say x as town for the sake of preserving their wolf integrity. ("See, I would say this as either alignment. I said it as town last time.") They town that s--- up and raise the bar for their next scum game.

Not a reason to damn a player no one has ever seen town before, just why it instinctively didn't sit right with me.

This is such backward reasoning, Shad, 'cause it assumes that they say X as wolf because they are wolves, and would say something different as town if they weren't "preserving wolf integrity". A good player models their scum game on their town game, not vice versa (if only because, Bessie's streak of amazing evil aside, probabilities insist we'll all play roughly 3 times as many town games as scum games)

Some comments that stood out to me in a bad way. She seemed to have me as a major suspect early on and it revolved around asking Besie a straight are you a wolf question plus me not liking her 'I want to preserve my wolf integrity' point. But the first feels completely random to me and the second, Seph says something pretty similar and she moves him up from a scum read to her #1 town right around there. Basically feels like the things that are 'bothering' her are incredibly random here, and +1ing Kivam's comment that my reasoning is backwards when I was commenting on Besie's rasoning, not imposing my own strikes me as off for both of them.

 

I'm articulating this terribly and not thinking 100% clearly right now but basically she still bugs me and I wouldn't oppose lynching there.

 

It's also the second kind of weird tie between her and Kivam. I dunno.

The idea is this: if more than 5 people think a single person is scummy, and thus lynchable, these 5 are (1) not all wolves, they (2) all have their own reasons for thinking as such, and (3) if a scum member was bussing or covering, then they just doomed their own teammate.

 

Okay, #3 is maybe closer to hopeful thinking and might be what they want. But #1 and #2 is true. And if #2 is true, then that person, by general consensus, is the most scummy.

 

I'm going to vote that person, because that person is the person that the town, in general (with #1 and #2 in mind) agree on.

Oki, back home. Also, ftr, I wasn't "voting celeste right after you did". I was catching up on everything that went on while I was sleeping (while trying to reply in real time) and voted before I had to go. Looking back, yes, you did vote her and went choo choo, like 30 minutes before, while I was still catching up, but I don't see how it's relevant to my vote.
