Let me say this, scum likes to lynch easy and that means they will go for a player who is trying but not making sense to the vast majority. The last recent couple of votes are in no way townie once you guys see me flip town. You all think I'm scum for being me and I don't see how that actually is a good reason.

 

You actually have to say something to make sense.  You called Darthe not town.  Why?  Re-hash your entire case for me.

I do though and it's always the same people who go "actually town tell" when that will just get me lynched because people on my site will go "oh she's scum". It's his tone with the sili case at the beginning and his tone of patronizing that just calls scum to me.

 

 

Your arguments might make sense to you, but that doesn't mean they're going to make sense to everybody.  I'll fully concede that Darthe was being patronizing to you - I'm pretty sure he said the same thing, in fact, and said he was doing it on purpose.  He did the exact same thing last game when he was town.

It has nothing to do with self pressing.  It has to do with you thinking he's scum and completely avoiding him.

 

I didn't call him scum, I noticed every time somebody asked him about his reads and lynching that it looks like he's switching explanations. I don't see what that has to do with me avoiding him though.

You didn't directly say "Seph, I think you're scum", but I don't think it's a stretch to say the post suggested that.  You said he's a much better option today, for that reason.  If he's a much better option, why haven't you even explored that possibility?

 

It has to do with you avoiding him because I would expect that, if you're getting ran up, you would vote him just to avoid getting lynched.  I would expect that if you feel there's a viable candidate that's a pretty good option, you would vote him even if you WEREN'T on the block.  With the two of those put together, I don't understand HOW you can be sitting there being the on ANYBODY, much less somebody that's almost a consensus town read...

Seph - Calder, me, you, Darthe.  Someone I would guess is town, someone I know is town, someone I'm almost positive is town, and somebody I'm pretty confident is town.

Celeste - Zander, Seph, Sili, Thane, and now Hallia.  Someone I'm pretty confident is town, my strongest mafia read, somebody I'm pretty confident is town, basically null, basically null.

 

Seph might have been able to go a different way than Celeste, but Thane and Hallia piling on her was unnecessary if they're mafia, unless it's Celeste-Seph-Thane or Celeste-Seph-Hallia.  

 

 

Do any of this feel likely to you?

Not going to answer for Darthe, Zander, but for what it's worth she would be the extreme dark horse candidate.  I don't know there's an argument that could convince me she IS mafia this game, but I think I can kind of guess where he's coming from.

I just want to know more about Liz, how she plays, etc since she's a new entity to me in this game atm. I'm confused by her and conflicted because what i'm reading from her is basically "I'm the only one that can read Celeste correctly, just believe me" yet I don't even know if I'm reading LIZ correctly. So, quite a bit conflicted.

 

 

Liz, if you flip the switch on the top left of the post and edit it from that, it's much easier and wont be confusing. ALSO, if everyone made an effort to trim their quotes to begin with, it wouldn't be a problem, just sayin

This is actually the more straightforward version of my playstyle...you...probably wouldn't like me very much if you saw the full-throttle version.

 

NOt that that helps you necessarily. But yes, ask Celeste and ask Chris. He's only seen me play a micro (not the one he hosted, the other one) and that's only one version of my playstyle, but it's not that off.

 

I'm not saying I'm the only one who can read Celeste. I'm saying that I know/understand her better because I've been trying to figure her out for over a year. And I'm saying that the things she's being browbeaten for aren't necessarily scumtells for her and are actually more likely to be towntells for her. The only points that I've really seen that aren't just commenting that she plays scummy is what Chris has pointed out. And I'd just like to see Zander stop doing the circular thing he's been doing all game (imo) and just leave his vote on her and move on if that's what he feels he needs to do cause browbeating her isn't going to get him any further. I can attest to that.

 

We'll see how good I am at reading her if and when she flips.

I've already explained why I think that Celeste and Seph have a decent shot at being mafia-mafia.  As for Thane and Hallia, not really.  More of an issue of somebody has to fill that last slot, and I'm not going to big game hunting in my town list just to do it.

 

 

I don't feel like I answered at all.  I backed up what he was saying as plausible (though I'm not sure I agree as much now that I've caught up).  I delibereately made it a point to NOT give a reason just so he couldn't say "what Clov said".

Zander's post re: Hally was good, I think it wasa #911, though some of the wording confused me and I don't see where he answered to clarify. Hally is still a null slot to me personally. I like that she's trying to catch up instead of giving up and becoming more frustrated

 

I could probably ignore all of Sili's posts and cut 20 pages off this game but that would be rude.

Sili- town, he's invested and reading other players, present and engaged with the thread. I don't like his read of me nor do I like him giving Zev a pass, but I'm not one to lynch inactives day 1 anyways

Seph- townish. liked his early push to get the thread going but I'm seeing it taper off a bit which is weakening the little bump I gave him. I'm going to need sustained prodding to keep a town read here. I also like how he held up against Clov's questioning, he came off townie in that interaction

Clov- town for now, with some tinfoil. Clov is consistently a hard read for me and I hesitate to let a read lull for too long on him (meaning lol!me in HP game); he's coming off town so far in his conversations with both Sili and Seph, as well as with Liz last night; I guess there's not really anything I can complain about wrt Clov, but he's not going to just slip up either, so it's not like I'm looking for that. Idk what I'm doing anyways lolol

Liz- was pretty conflicted on her during my catch up because I don't think I realized what to expect from her as a player... (@Celeste I still want you to talk to me about her??) but I'm okay giving her a townish lean pending some insight from Penny. Otherwise her tone is fine, if rather baiting imo, and she's aggressive on people giving her reads (uncomfortably so, for me )

Darthe- leaning town, just got good feels so far, he's not feeling slimy yet

 

Hally: totally null, she's on vacation, is rather reactive on thread, but I can see her being frustrated with how things are going so far while she's not able to catch up and say anthing

Zev: totally null, also inactive, being defended by Sili

Thane: null, don't remember any content posts from him, the ones he has posted have had good tone though

 

Calder- nullish, not sure, watching him from arms length, pending ISO

Celeste- ?? didn't like her earliest responses to Liz, she came off a little guilty to me, but I'm biased knowing that she tends to put foot in mouth before she levels out; at the same time I don't want want to give her a pass on it all. Is your issue with lynching Zev exactly that: he's not been here?  If he were here and made a few quick posts, would that change your willingness at all?

 

Because, based on your reads list, not lynching inactives would take Hallia, Zev, and Thane off the list.  I'm assuming you're going to take all of your town reads off.  Is your lynch pool for today just those bottom three then?

It's great if we lynch him and he's a wolf, but if we lynch him and he's town, then we're one town down and don't have lynch info to go off of. You ignoring him has nothing to do with your read of him.  I'm guessing your read on him based on the fact you insinuated he's a pretty good lynch option.  I try to avoid lynching - or advocating for others to lynch - my town reads.  That makes me think YOU think he's at least got a DECENT shot at being mafia.

I want to take a second look at Seph, Hally, Celeste, Zander. The others on my list are either solid null or null leaning town. Calder is a special circumstance and I have good feels for some reason. Seph is on my list because he started the game strong and has fallen off and I'm a hypocrite.

 

 

Mostly a good post from Alanna here.  I can understand that distinction for both of Hallia and Thane with Zev, especially now that both have at least said something to give the understanding where they're at.  I probably wouldn't go as far to say Thane is probable town, but I don't have anything to push him atp.

My RVS vote on Calder was in response to a dare. Then I switched to someone else as further RVS. Then I came out of RVS and put my vote back on Calder and was very clear that it was serious. So don't conflate my RVS vote with my actual vote, please and thank you.

Im just asking her to show her work, her progression, her reasoning for it.  I dont give a shit how she comes to her reads herself, I expect her to show it tho especially since I find her Scummy for other reasons already.  I know she tends to be Scummy and Im looking for the thought process to see her motives.  Like you noticed I questioned her for not trying to discern your motives for your read on her

 

Im not on the pot Im voting her and she's not giving me a reason to not.  Her blatant refusal makes me think she cant or is scared to and that's a poor look.  I mean Ive only asked about 20 times or so.  Im not asking for anything unreasonable and she's been in the thread so obv she's had more then enough time.
