Neither have really done anything constructive, Lenlo especially so. This looks bad after seeing how he's played in our more recent games.

Ive been busy.

Also wanna say, this doesnt fit any of my previous games, including ones I was a wolf. So its a stretch to associate it with that.

Ok.

You're posting now and obviously keeping up to respond to me. The game isn't that long, you can read it and post something constructive instead of telling us about your other game.

Dice, how do you have "tone" reads already?  Regardless of alignment, people are messing around to begin with......yet you're reading them based on tone?

cause people posted?

i actually find that the beginning of a game is a great place for tone reading. people come in theyve just found out their role so their excitement or trepidation can come thru sometimes. Plus you then get to watch as game goes on and see if and how their town changes

for eg  leelou came in a bit firey but also feels relaxed

Aj sounded relaxed but also was feeling me out. You could say he was being careful

im kinda amazed how much talk this spot read has generated especially as u all know i do sudden gut reads often   and often right near the start of games.

Did you mean AJ is playing careful or being careful irt to you?  Cause the former would, at least to me, make me think he was scummy?

Why are we talking about tone reading as if it's a foreign concept?

We aren't?  Nobody is saying it is bad, and we all know what it is.  I don't know why you felt the need to ask this question, though.

You can easily read tone from joking. Some people do it poorly as x-alignment, or differently, and so it is a good place to start.

I disagree on that being good "to start", but ok.

Verb's made some post's but they dont have a lot if substance to them imo.

I know its early but still.

Also as an aside @Turin - I see what you mean now when you said earlier "she's asking the real questions"

Who is this irt?

Leelou, you did notice he had a space between my actual reads right?

What are you talking about here?

Welcome Thane.

@Zander - I addressed it back when it happened. I didn't get why she asked about me specifically at that time. Seemed like a random/weird thing to bring up that made me uncomfortable. Not sure how better to explain it.

Ya i seen it and I think you responded to me about it.  It just seems off to me coming from you.

Lenlo/Verb are on that fringe of scum range for me.

Neither have really done anything constructive, Lenlo especially so. This looks bad after seeing how he's played in our more recent games.

Verb has asked some game play-ish questions but I don't think they were truly progressive.

Atp I don't think they are bad wagon options.

I want to see Nolder respond to my questions. That was a pretty bad mistake he made earlier and I know it's kind of his scum play to pull stuff like that. Act confused, etc.

Agreed.

Wanna see more from Nolder as I mislynched him recently as Town twice iirc,

His answer is gonna hinge quite a bit for me on reading his slot.

Turin will know what I'm talking about, which is why I addressed it to him.

Why would it be off coming from me?

Thats great that he does...wanna share with the rest of the class please?

Because as someone i consider a very good and experienced player i dont know why someone making a comment to someone else about reading you would bother you.

IIRC ive seen you mention this before in a game, but I cant remember which and hence cant remember what alignment you were when you said this.

But I would like to see more from you,

Earlier when I asked Turin if he had any reads he said he had Tina as a town lean because "she was asking real questions" I didn't really probe at the time but after looking at her post again to fact check myself in case I was the one mistaken regarding Nolder's argument, I realized what Turin was talking about. The question actually is pretty sharp and it's something I'd like Nolder to answer.

The timing bugged me, as I've said. It also a little meta based because I don't think Tina is particularly comfortable playing as scum and I've caught her before in the past after awkward exchanges. It just weirded me out, I really can't explain it better.

Hey Guess what I just did before you even asked this?

Pg 1 - Nothing special, just intros. Yates jokingly claiming Masons. Noted incase this becomes relevant later. Tina voted Dice, its a joke.

Pg 2 - Verbal MKed then brought back. Yay. Dice randomly asks Does he have to lynch tina this game (#35), which after her joke vote on him, looks eh. Bugs me.

Pg 3 - Some jokes, Tina responds... oddly seriously. (#46). Like, this isnt how I would expect someone to react to what is supposedly a joke. Nerves? Then she brings up AJ and Dices reads of him. I dunno, its all off to me. Agree with AJ (#51), its a weird topic to bring up.

Pg 4 - Some jokes, Leelou drops a vote on Tina "Cause she feels like it" (#68). Note this is the second vote on Tina. More jokes.

Pg 5 - I dont get Dices spot reads (#85). Its way to early, and yeah its jokes and crap, but common. Leelou has only dropped a vote. If these were like, light reads or something, fine. But its just "Town."

Pg 6 - More spot reads, this time from Hallia (#105), who literally just showed up. Like yeah spot reads, woo, but dont just drop "Town". Give us more. Give us content so we can move past this spot read crap. Dice not giving off scum vibes to Hallia (#110). Noted for later. Yeah Dice, all reads can change. (#115).

Pg 7 - Tinas post (#122). Yeah someone else asked why, so how bout you explain why its not weird or address the concern rather than brushing it off? Yeah Dice might read him well, but just saying "I expect an analysis when I get back" is weird. I can see where Nolder is going with this vote (#123). Tina does respond to it Nolder, right after you posted. (#124). Not a good response, but still.

Pg 8 - Hallia likes AJs involvement, though most of its been jokes. (#145). Turin, (#146), there was a prior game Dice was in where I did a petition to lynch Zander D0. Almost worked, but I think thats what hes doing? Anyways I like Turin so far, hes catching small things like this. Oh look AJ mentioned me (#149). Weve been working on Zanders post count abit. Yates (#154) I kiiiiinda agree? Hes been Like it doesnt feel like Dice but my last game with Dice he was a towny turned wolf recruiter, so what I have to go off of isnt all that great.

Pg 9 - (#161) I doubt its real AJ. (#169) Im the cop. (#172) Here we get into the Verbal and tone reads thing I remember. I still agree with him, to early for solid tone reads. Nothing has happened.

Pg 10 - (#182) Please explain. (#190) This is Nolders push for more votes on Tina, off the basis of her ignoring the vote. She didnt ignore it though. She responded in multiple posts, just nothing that was directly quoted. If it was anyone but Nolder id vote them for this, but he regularly doesnt read the thread all that closely. More jokes.

Pg 11 - (#203) Eeeeh.... Dont see it. (#205) Agreed.

tl;dr Tinas been weird, Dice just feels... off compared to what I remember of him, Nolder regularly doesnt read the thread carefully, but I cant wait for his responses to AJ. It should be very telling. AJ is fine, Zander is fine. Leelou I want more from, same with Verb. Hallia is... Hallia I guess. I generally read her wolfy so tbh I didnt even try to resolve this slot. If I had to pick right now, id go Nolder or Dice.

That's excellent.

And yet you're still talking about anything but the game.

 ?

I was copy pasting it and tl;dring iiiiiit. SLOOOOOOOOOOOW DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN

Tinas on a clock to prove herself town to me, simply because I dont think she can keep up a good wolf game of fooling everyone.

He's posted once since I made that post, so nothing has really changed.

He actually explained more than I thought he would in the post he made, but I don't really have reservations about him atp.

He's a town lean for me.

I dont see Town!Dice, I see Neutral!Dice. And Neutral!Dice is not a normal thing to see imo.

My last game he did start village and become a mafia recruiter though, so I  might just be off on him.

Sorry for the no quotes, but there were to many to multi quote without splitting it into multiple posts. So I decided on post numbers. Dont be lazy.

a few notes of mine that i feel like keeping for later

Turin paying attention, +1 post 126

130: Tina?? Statement and quote are odd together?

138 verb makes sense, maybe troo obvious remark?

146 Dice zander lol push… not really saying that much, gamerelated. More null at this point.

150 agree with Yates.

General: spot reads, ok. But a bit of explaning wouldn’t be too bad. How can we get into your head if you don’t share thoughts?

154: Yates sharing concern Turin about Dice…. Hold on to this thought.

158 lol

Page 9: dice addressing zander interaction as joke, Zan agrees, but with a little fos.

169: Zander: I hope the cop will stay hidden a long time. Town needs him/her to do the job well. *nods*

172: tone reading D1 is a thing imo. But, should be handled with care.

178: don’t feel too bad about that

182/184 interaction Yates/AJ… we’ll see *nods*

190: Feel like I have to agree with Nolder here. No real follow up to my liking to post 130

Page 10: not feeling too bad about AJ here *nods*

As for 207: read that too, but still doesn’t explain why Tina didn’t quote the player she was addressing with the post.

Nolder’s vote is odd… seemed like regular AJ to me. 213 Zan asking +1

Page 12, nothing bad about Lenlo, ok for now.

241 vote on Nolder for Tina thing… hmm…

Recap: [v] Tina[/v]

come back in and play. I'm getting very mixed feelings about you, so i'd like you to be around more and be able to read you

Posted

In general, not feeling too bad, so prolly town in my head, are the following people: AJ, Turin, Nolder, Zander, Dice.

Will need some more on the other people, haven't made up my mind about them

Posted

I just don't think you're reading very carefully Nolder.

She's quoting Dice in that post as an example to show that she's not the only person to respond in a "buddying" like way. It's kind of a "why me" question but it's a legitimate point irt you not reacting similarly to Dice after she voted him.

Maybe you're right, but regardless she wasn't clear. That's not my fault.

How is my post different than others in the game. For example Dice answer to my vote?

hi Tina hugs  hows u?

Do i have to lynch you this game?

Why did you decide to vote me?

Erm, He didn't vote you?  You voted him.

Exactly. I voted him, he answered with a hug. Leelou voted me and I did the same. So I wonder why Nolder picked me.

In fact - how did you not see this Nolder?

Looking at it again she clearly explains what she was doing when Turin asks.

You missed it or you're just not reading?

What I took away from that was that she ignored me.

Again it's possible that she was actually posting to me but it wasn't clear that that was the case.

Posted

@AJ - I responded, he asked if I was legit about him being town. It was just an "I missed you."

Is this in answer to your Yates read?

If it is..your spot read on Yates was a joke?

Am I missing something here?

Tbh AJ just put himself in a weird spot. He came out to protect Tina but says it's a wagon he could get behind. If that's true then why didn't he? And if he had a different reason why not say so? Looks like playing both sides while nudging a train to me.

[unvote]

[V]AJ[/v]

Can you show where you thought AJ was "protecting" Tina?

Speaking out in her defense instead of just leaving her to defend herself is what I would consider protecting her.

That's why I said it was weird because I don't understand why TownAJ wouldn't just let Tina defend herself.

Look, I acknowledge you dont read the thread all that closely sometimes, but she answered and when people asked what she was talking about, she said you. Just cause she never directly quoted you doesnt me she didnt answer it.

I'm not confused. Interesting that you're trying to discredit me now that I've voted you though.
