Calder is a wolf. He's trying to work this in his favor. The only reason he would need to survive another night is to get another recruit in. He is NOT trying to do this for the benefit of the town. This means he has had failed recruits and is trying to get the last one in before he dies. 

 

Lenlo may or may not have a full team, it's likely he does but we don't know that or even if Lenlo is the leader. And if Calder is right about there only being 3 recruits, there isn't really any way that his team can grow more. We also now know that Celeste is on Lenlo's team. 

 

If we lynch Calder today we prevent another recruit going through.
