Ok now we come to the scum. It's both funny and unfortunate that they both teamed up to attack me tonight. I obviously already suspect Lenlo but I had planned on doing a case on Xander. Now it's just going to make me look petty and OMGUSy because they went on the offensive first. Such is life though. I mean what can I do about it? It's weird because I don't think Xander knew I was going to go after him I think he just perceived me as an easy target and joined his teammate in finishing what Nomi started. I'll be making posts for each of them separately before deadline.

I'd have dice as light scum if my top town reads weren't town reading him. 

Zander and Tabor are mutually exclusive. I don't see Zander Kivam'ing, so if one flips scum, it clears the other in my book.

BFG's meta-based analysis bugs me. Meta is too easy to manipulate, and is (imo) an easy thing for scum to look at. Going to try to get a feel from her other games to see if this is consistent. (The irony).

I haven't seen anyone voted or lunched for that yet.  I never do and nobodies brought it up with me but still thank you for mentioning it.  I doubt it will change my mind on the matter but perhaps I'll try not to bring it up too much going forward.

@Zander driving a bus that can stop: I wasn't aware. I didn't think he'd be up to that. 

@Zander thinking he's always town: Doesn't track with the above. Town doesn't bus. You don't lynch the cop as town. Just FTR. 

@Making Nol a NK. I don't think there's a situation I'd shoot Nol as mafia here. Not even if he got copped. I'd sooner aim for the cop/doc. Only situation I see Nol being a target is if he's outed as doc and confirmed town by cop. If he's cop, it's still a possible ML because he "could be lying." My 2c. 

@Consolidation. I've seen a couple of posts re: this. It's hybrid hammer, so we don't need to hit max for a lynch. Not sure if the people posting about it remembered (and yes, I'm aware that building higher trains and having a train that's higher than the rest is important)

@Zander being scum: Town statements are what caught my eye. There's a couple other small things, but that's the main one for me. 

 

Anyone has anything quick they want me to look over, I'll be watching for the next ~15mins.

It's actually taken me all day to catch up with the whole thread, and I still feel like I have very few notes.

 

I feel quite good about Pizza, though I don't really have much meta to go on there. I only played with you once in Mafia, but I don't think I can trust that meta as you were trying to disguise yourself (if your usual post style is like this, long and detailed, then it could have been quite the give away). I do feel like you are putting it out there and solving, though.

 

This post of Lenlo's bothered me a little bit, maybe the way he's interacting with AJ, i.e. "What do you think? I think..." instead of waiting to hear AJ's answer first.

Its cool. Im not gonna let a deadline sneak up on me this game, and the only final I have left is in a class I have a 96 in so im not stressed about it at all. Im basically already on break. 1 more year and I will be college grad. To bad I gotta prep to try and get into Grad school :P

 

So AJ, what do you think of Pizza? He looks good to me. Hes figuring stuff out, trying to piece it together with what small stuff we have. But hes been kinda focused on Nolder through it all, interacting with others with Nold as the topic. Only game I have had with him was the game he was Nomi in, and as scum we offed him pretty quickly so I dont have a baseline for him.

 

 

Zander feels a bit more subdued than usual, but I think he did say he's busier now than usual as well.

 

I do want to see more from Dice that isn't about the rules/forum etiquette, as last time you posted strongly in that way, you turned out to be scum :P

 

 

First re: Pizza you say you have no real Meta on him, then you say you dont trust the little that you do have.  As an inexperienced player I find that it a little strange that you are strictly basing this off of putting it out there (which you've SEEN Scum do as well) and just really game solving makes you feel really good about him.....feels like your just going with the general consensus with the a pretty weak only reason imo.

Second: Yeah, at the time, it was. That was as far as I had read when I made that post, and of anything, it stood out most to me.

After an ISO of JS:

 

His first vote is a joke vote, which makes sense given JS and Len's interactions in the game I played with them, it's null, as is Lenlo's reply.

 

He posts some fluff posts, next vote is another jokey one for Zander.

 

His vote for AJ is fine, based on what content there was, and then there's the confusion about who is actually playing. My instinct would say that's a point in his favour, as I would think scum would be more in tune with what they're doing.

 

His interaction with AJ, and subsequent unvote for not seeing what he thought he saw could be a point against him, but his honesty/apology and immediate unvote seemed legit.

 

He comes back to Zander then and puts his vote there because of Zander's repeatedly mentioning his randing town - an OK~ reason, but Zander does tend to do that a lot, though I know JS was saying he doesn't care about meta. I'm pinged a bit by his reads list, only because I'm not really scum reading Zander so far, despite his casing me which has been a scum move of his in the past if we want to get into personal paranoia ;) But no, Zander's right about my lack of posting/not having contributed much yet, and he's not done anything else to make me worry yet.

My god these multi quotes are soooo hard on the eyes.

 

It breaks up the flow of conversation, I know the person on the bottom is the one speaking, but sometimes there's stuff inside the quotes that's altered or added to, because people can't easily manipulate and trim the quote tags or can't be bothered.

 

It's so hard to follow long conversations on this site because of this.

 

Is there nothing that can be done? Can I ask people if it wouldn't be too much of a bother, to just cite the post number they're responding to, or link to it, rather than quoting it, if the quote itself is the size of a page?

 

I'm not trying to be overly critical, or cramp anyone's style, or be a complainy pants, but dang, this would be a huge help in understanding what's going on quickly and easily, and really help me with the whole re-reading the thread thing.

Can you put this into an actual case rather than this bulleted list sort of thing? I can sort of see what your getting at with Nolder but before I do anything on the matter I want you to spell it out for me. You're a face value scum hunter. I recognize that. It's why I was pretty leery of Pizza's initial case on you. His Nolder "read" was much less likely to bait players based on their alignment than based on their null manner of interpreting actions. Some of us saw a trap, others saw an unusual read, and sooner or later someone among the latter pile was going to comment. I don't think there was anything remotely scummy about you stepping up for Nolder in that instance. I definitely think that a town in Pizza's position though, in the absence of any meta, would find it pretty suspect that you basically settled on agreeing to disagree rather than prodding Pizza further, and once he clarified (without being asked) that this was the root of his concern, I felt better about him. I'm more willing to give you a null pass because prior games have conditioned me to accept an apparent lack of interest in scum hunting out of you. I think the impression boils down to you being someone who bases reads on observation rather than engagement. Basically, I don't expect town!NotBob to prod people whose actions he finds suspicious. I expect him to somewhat passively take note of them and vote accordingly.

 

 

Now I have the above quote chain to chew on, and it's a little bit harder to swallow. Scum require deeper motivation to "backpedal" than to make an opening push, and the grounds for interpreting Pizza's actions at face value thin out. Why do you think Pizza backpedaled in this instance?
