Job change or just time for new scenery?  I've been here (San Antonio) for 10 years now.  Longest time I've spent any place.

The back and forth you had consisted almost entirely of you arguing about what games he was referencing and which ones he should reference instead. So no, it didnt.

 

My motivation was to get him to lock down his case into something concrete we can reference later so if we lynch you and you flip town, he cant back pedal on his case. By getting him to lock down what it was we make it harder for him in the future to wiggle around.

 

Nolder I have posted my thoughts on the you/Pizza/NotBob situation.

 

Posts like these are why I am never lynching you in this game.  It's like we're in Diablo but you're actually explaining your thought process this time.

I haven't seen NotBob as scum except once or twice, and the most recent one I didn't even realize it was him until it was pretty much over with (on JetsNation).

 

As a villager though, I think he's fairly easy to spot. He's low-volume as either alignment from what I can tell, so I wouldn't say that's much of an indicator but the way he conveys his thoughts/reads is hard to miss.

 

We'll see how he progresses from here and I don't wanna write his defense for him, but as Pizza pointed out if Nolder or NotBob is scum then the hesitant read doesn't look so good for the other.

Mental note to go ISO him in Alien, because I didn't catch a distinct difference in Diablo. NB plays yolo popcorn mafia as both alignments in my experience.  He can be obvious town.  I tend to think of him as the male Hallia readability-wise.

I try to post things as they come to mind as I am reading, because its worked better than what I did before. I am of course still learning how to do this whole trying to win thing well though.

 

In this instance I am Null on Thane though, cause I just cant remember what he has done. I know he has posted but none of it really sticks out enough to remember. I suppose that isnt a really a good thing now that I think about it...

It's actually taken me all day to catch up with the whole thread, and I still feel like I have very few notes.

 

I feel quite good about Pizza, though I don't really have much meta to go on there. I only played with you once in Mafia, but I don't think I can trust that meta as you were trying to disguise yourself (if your usual post style is like this, long and detailed, then it could have been quite the give away). I do feel like you are putting it out there and solving, though.

 

This post of Lenlo's bothered me a little bit, maybe the way he's interacting with AJ, i.e. "What do you think? I think..." instead of waiting to hear AJ's answer first.

Its cool. Im not gonna let a deadline sneak up on me this game, and the only final I have left is in a class I have a 96 in so im not stressed about it at all. Im basically already on break. 1 more year and I will be college grad. To bad I gotta prep to try and get into Grad school :P

 

So AJ, what do you think of Pizza? He looks good to me. Hes figuring stuff out, trying to piece it together with what small stuff we have. But hes been kinda focused on Nolder through it all, interacting with others with Nold as the topic. Only game I have had with him was the game he was Nomi in, and as scum we offed him pretty quickly so I dont have a baseline for him.

 

 

Zander feels a bit more subdued than usual, but I think he did say he's busier now than usual as well.

 

I do want to see more from Dice that isn't about the rules/forum etiquette, as last time you posted strongly in that way, you turned out to be scum :P

 

 

First re: Pizza you say you have no real Meta on him, then you say you dont trust the little that you do have.  As an inexperienced player I find that it a little strange that you are strictly basing this off of putting it out there (which you've SEEN Scum do as well) and just really game solving makes you feel really good about him.....feels like your just going with the general consensus with the a pretty weak only reason imo.

 

Second re: Lenlo-  That is the reason this post is bothering you....????!!!  Come on now.  Asking someone opinion on someone while giving your own is bothering you?

Yates was also providing cover for his N0 peek, so I wouldn't count on it to be 100% sincere analysis, but it's probably worth glancing at with a grain of salt.

@ Tab    so what do you want?  Ive already said im reading AJ town, Ive interacted with Pizza re him Nolder and NB  Ive gone back and forth with Snow    and that one isnt JUST about ettiquette. If you read it you should see that it started because of conversation about voting people because they were posting elsewhere. You wanna vote someone? make a case. Hell even just agree with Pizza who already made a case. Even just say I want to vote so and so cause i want to but take some ownership of why ure doing it.

This! There are about two people I've started to feel like I can get a read one, and you were one of them, which is why I wanted more.

 

I gave some thoughts on Pizza and Len already - I feel good about Pizza (can we call you Nomi?), I like how he's putting it all out there, engaging people, and pushing people. So far, I lean town.

 

For Lenlo, I'm not sure. His back and forth with AJ felt weird, but I want to finish catching up in the thread first and look through his posts again. His suggestion of help to me at the end of the post quoted above does make me feel better about him.

It should be noted, I wasn't trying to disguise my thoughts or my style of play, I merely tried to use a different account name to avoid a personal conflict between myself and another member.

 

It ended up being prophylactic, but not necessary, and caused more drama than it was ever worth, trying to avoid non-game-related drama.

 

All my thoughts and posts were in the same style as before. You'll note I was very open that game, and that some persons such as Cory and Zander figured out who I was anyway, mostly because I wasn't trying to hide me at all, just the name.

Very poor response to Dice when he call her out on her activity comment about him,  Like the info was already out there.  It's the kind of comment I think a first time inexperienced Scum player makes to dry and build a case on someone without really knowing how to.  Instant Backtracking as well.

 

 

Leaving herself an out/backtracking with Lenlo as well.

 

 

 

TLDR

 

Shes not confident at all, playing very timid,  hardly posting, not a lot of real time interactions.  All different from her previous Town games

 

No mention of being busy in RL or anything to justify lack of posting and content,

 

Weak reasoning on all of her opinions and reads shes provided thus far.

 

I think shes playing as an uncomfortable new scum player.

Alanna/Shad-  Was reading Alanna Town early on and Shad's done nothing to convince me otherwise.

Lenlo-  Other then the bit of a misrep on me I feel pretty good on Lenlo. He's posting his thoughts much more clearly.  He's into and involved in the thread.  He backing off when good points are made and willing to re adjust his reads which he didnt do in Matrix as Scum.

 

BFG- Only thing really keeping me from putting her higher is that though shes into it and on the ball I'm not seeing the big WoT analysis posts that I've come to expect from her.  Something worth keeping my eye on.

Dice-  Hasnt done anything to scream scum at me and has made some Town!Dice type posts.  Dice will become easier for me to read as the game progresses.

AJ-  Hasn't done anything really to ping me but I don't feel like Town Captain AJ has been put into effect yet.

 

Pizza- He's been playing pretty clean thus far.  Need to look into him more with the large amount of WoT posts,  My only concern really is his skill level and with no one here myself included has a lot of Meta to work off if,

 

NotBob- Gotta re read him and get some feedback for him as I have a hard time reading him.

John Snow- Same as Not Bob.  Did feel his back and forth vote with Lenlo on me was off.  And I think Len's town so...it may not be that either HAS to be scum but it stood out to me.

 

Thane-  Only reason I'm not MORE concerned with Thane's lack of posting/involvement which is a Scum Tell of his, is the fact I KNOW he has RL reasons for not being active with not being able to post at work.

 

Nolder- Gut mostly,  He;s had a few things that have pinged me thus far,  I've touched on some.  Wanna try and ISO as well.

I can sort of see what your getting at with Nolder but before I do anything on the matter I want you to spell it out for me. This way I can understand more where your coming from and get you locked down into a case on Nolder so you cant shift the goal posts/do scum things about it later on.

You're a face value scum hunter. I recognize that. It's why I was pretty leery of Pizza's initial case on you. His Nolder "read" was much less likely to bait players based on their alignment than based on their null manner of interpreting actions. Some of us saw a trap, others saw an unusual read, and sooner or later someone among the latter pile was going to comment. I don't think there was anything remotely scummy about you stepping up for Nolder in that instance. I definitely think that a town in Pizza's position though, in the absence of any meta, would find it pretty suspect that you basically settled on agreeing to disagree rather than prodding Pizza further, and once he clarified (without being asked) that this was the root of his concern, I felt better about him. I'm more willing to give you a null pass because prior games have conditioned me to accept an apparent lack of interest in scum hunting out of you. I think the impression boils down to you being someone who bases reads on observation rather than engagement. Basically, I don't expect town!NotBob to prod people whose actions he finds suspicious.  I expect him to somewhat passively take note of them and vote accordingly.

 

Now I have the above quote chain to chew on, and it's a little bit harder to swallow. Scum require deeper motivation to "backpedal" than to make an opening push, and the grounds for interpreting Pizza's actions at face value thin out. Why do you think Pizza backpedaled in this instance?
