Lenlo just for your "what mafia words mean" note section that you will never read

"wagonomics" is the process of late-game solving in which a player goes back to vote wagons from earlier day phases to see who was voting already flipped villagers / wolves, a process I hate because wolves vote wolves pretty often and villager vote villagers and it's not reliable and doesn't teach anything

Having competitive wagons during a day phase? There's a novel idea, imo

Talk to me about Tab? What are you seeing? I feel like I should have a better read on her. But I don't. Maybe I just want her to be Town?

I want to come back to this.  I just looked over her, and I don't know why you should have a better read on her.  As far as I can tell, she hasn't really contributed anything.  She seems pretty neutral on a lot of things, and she seems to address other people's reads more than giving her own.

I saw her having Dice and Thane as her top two scum candidates.  I think both have pretty good chances to be town, so that's a little concerning...but I don't even know where those reads came from.  That's a lot more concerning for me.

My concern is the latter, Shad.

Have you actually seen that happen before? Does it imply anyone as a likely partner of Nomi flips wolf?

Have I ever seen what happen?  People have reads that seemingly are based on information they shouldn't have, and it indicates them being mafia?  Yes - several times.

I would have to really dig into it to see if I feel it's more/less likely to come from anyone in particular, but to be honest, I'll focus more on his pushes and how people treated him.  Considerably less pure guess work than figuring out where the info's coming from.

We're talking about a scum player new to a site asking his team mates for and receiving a basic rundown on each town player's skill/style, right?

AFAICT Tab is thinking for herself; that's not always something that makes a lot of sense to you - see her as Loki in Ragnarok where she was 3P who incidentally continually hard defended wolves throughout the game thinking they were villagers.

She's playing similarly to that game, which I would guess implies villager more than wolf to a decent degree, but admittedly I have no idea what her wolf game looks like

No and yes we most certainly would!!!!

I would lean on you to lead us in a Corlanna free world, Zander. Be prepared.

Oh what fun. We're playing the "lynch the low posters" game again. That always works.

...the hell is this in response to?

oqVFRNS.png

How hard is it to have 2x the posts of Nolder, really?

Who do you reccomend

I won't deny that my suspects at the moment are in the low posters, but using that as a factor for lynching someone is really annoying, especially because I tend to be at the receiving end of it.

i learned in School that this is often a hotspot for wolves to lurk Sooh....

... That was a post Yates made

What does that have to do with anyone's reads? Why are AGGRAVATED?

Hello. Have we met? Have you ever seen anyone push me for posting too little? I guess I'm just too scarred from being at a receiving end of suspicion based on post count one time too many.

I have a joke

Two wolves walk into a bar

One goes to the bartender

"Can I get the I'm really busy this week sorry guys"

The bartender goes "Sure thing" and slides him a drink

The second goes,

"Hey, can you get me a Nonsensical argument and then bolt the thread?"

The bartender goes "Of course" and slides in a drink

Suddenly a bunch of villagers rampage into the bar with torches

"Bartender! We are trying to lynch some wolves!"

The bartender points at his patrons.

"Oh okay. I have some wolves sitting right here"

The villagers looked confused.

"Wait, where? Behind the idiot and that really busy guy?"

I don't think this makes sense but I wanted to do it anyway.

This is gonna be some epically pro-scum rand where Cory and Clov are team mates and never lose because I'm sure as hell not going there.

She's playing similarly to that game, which I would guess implies villager more than wolf to a decent degree, but admittedly I have no idea what her wolf game looks like

I don't feel she's playing overly similarly to her game in Harry Potter, though.  She wasn't an overly high effort player, but she gave some thoughts and gave enough of an explanation that I probably could have followed her that game.  She wasn't necessarily always right - few rarely are - but she made the effort.

This game, it's more like...questions and comments, but I don't feel it ever builds to anything.

Some from HP:

Knowing that I'm Town, this is what I read so far.

Based solely on her confidence, activity and straightforward arguments (I've not felt she's been pushing anything odd, or jumping to anyone's defense), I would venture a sturdy guess that Laine is Town.

I really want to like Kronos for his defense of me, but he could so easily be Scum playing for Town brownie points. As soon as I'm lynched, and you see that I am indeed Town, he can ride in and say "See, I told you!"

BFG has me confused so far, but I'm going to go back and read again.

I don't particularly feel like Dice is building up to a vote, more that he's just trying to get answers and being an offensive player, but we'll see what he says today.

Others, I have no idea.

First thing I've gathered from going back over threads is that I have a feeling RTE is Town.

On page 20, RTE is the first person (I think) to come out anti-Dice, and on page 27 he continues his suspicion, saying Dice is working up to a vote on me and continues later to direct people towards him. If they were team mates, why be the first person to get the ball rolling and then carry on mentioning him in suspicious ways? He does vote for Rhea instead at one point, and say Dice is on his list but he's still unsure, but that all seems quite Town to me.

After I made my Sooh post about subbing, RTE defends me as a newb and Rhea then puts a bit of attention on him for that (all on page 23):

Rhea: I can't help but feel that RTE is doing a bit of defending (or maybe deflecting) here (bold and underlined). Taking note of that. Just notes, hunches, and gut feelings are all Iv'e got right now!

Laine also comments on this:

Laine: I feel like RTE's comment is him just trying to look good in this situation. Defend Taborline for town cred (defending the newbie) and present a "trap" for those opportunistically voting her? Mehhh

Clov then comes right out and goes for RTE with a full-on vote, calling it scummy to defend someone for cred. Also on the same page, he distances himself from Rhea, saying that he doesn't like that she only "notes" what's going on.

BFG still doesn't give me a definite feeling at this point.

Kronos then comes in and also goes straight for RTE, while defending me.

Dice comes in at this point and goes for me and RTE.

And that all looks like scum piling on to him.

I'm still reading, though...

OK, here's my read of EOD activities.

EOD action really started when RTE said he was ready to go head-to-head with someone, but didn’t mention a name (and in the post right before, he had said Dice wasn’t his first choice of scum, so he wasn't pushing anyone at this point).

BFG is pushing a little for Dice (“A lot of people finding Dice odd, but unwilling to vote. Just saying”) maybe wanting people to explain more, dive into that pool and see where it goes.

Sooh is first off the ground with a vote, “Okay, let’s see what happens. Vote: Dice”, hence my reasoning that she’s Town.

BFG’s next synthesis post is definitely anti Dice (“Dice (1): Seemingly concerned with people's opinions, Town!Dice just isn't. Also isn't obvious town yet and Dice is very good at being obvious town when town (worth noting that Laine disagres with me and thinks Dice is obvious town”)

Which, at that point where only Sooh was going for Dice, would be a bad idea for someone on the scum team. If she were scum, she could easily just ignore Sooh’s vote, and use that post to pour more oil on me and on RTE.

RTE then goes Dice – could be a case of him being scum and getting to safety by going with a flow, but at this point only Sooh had actively put in a vote. If he were scum, again, he could have ignored her for now.

Razen then goes for Dice, piling on, which could be scummy now that we can see where the head-to-head is going.

Cairos, may he rest in peace, plops down the final Dice vote and gets us the 50-50 (Thank you, Cairois).

Lessa’s last minute RTE vote doesn’t look great – giving her team mate a 50/50 chance of survival.

My list:

Most likely Town: RTE, Sooh, BFG

Suspicious Scum: WBK, Clov, Lessa

I would venture to assume that MOST people new to a site ask for some insight when from their scummates.  I've done it on every site I've ever played.

Also Lenlo/Rack interplay has been weird all game.

you thinking w/w???

It's something I'll have to consider, but I haven't finished my chat with Rack yet. And Lenlo strikes me as someone I might find scummy regardless of his alignment.

Ah, fair enough. I for one regard unfamiliarity as a blessing as scum. Maybe it's just a matter of what type of liar you are.

So when reading up on Zander again I realized that I completely misremembered everything about the Lenlo vote situation and him. For whatever reason I thought his vote came way later than it did but oh well. So it kinda ruins my whole thought process. I still have a bad gut read on Zander but now that's really it so I think I'll UnlynchWhat a bad start to mafia on this forum

I'm here but I'm not here. I just didn't want to wake up to 10 pages of unread posts...

The one thing I wanted to comment on:

I would venture to assume that MOST people new to a site ask for some insight when from their scummates.  I've done it on every site I've ever played.

This theory feels angle shooty and probably incorrect anyway. Like - in those games where you were wolf and asked for info on the villagers, did you ever over share meta knowledge in those games or instead pretend like you didn't have that info? If I'm a wolf? And I'm in a game with a bunch of people I don't know? And my team is like "monstr does this and cloud does that and we can always get Allette riled up!" I think I pretend I don't know anything and use that to my advantage.

Plus - I think Nomi is lying and has either played with the people you highlighted in red or at least spectated games. I have zero proof but that's just going to be my assumption regardless of truth value.
