Reading Woodstock and then TUS (both games where Scum!Lenlo got lynched early) just to sort of see how he reacts to strong pressure on early day phases

In WS he pretty much bolts early and never comes back, here's his last fit of posting:

Lenlo should be the lynch because he is Lenlo and his defense was actually pretty scummy. Deflecting with a joke isn't a defense len.

Your right its not a defense. Theres nothing to defend against though Arsis. Your voting me as payback for killing you when you were a survivor. Im not gonna defend against something that was amusing for me to do in another game.

Lenlo, why do you think we should be townreading you?

You shouldnt be yet, cause ive done jack-all. Im trying to read through this thread right now and catch up but the amount of Tom/Des BS is making it annoying.

Those games were a long time ago, neither of which im proud of. Those were some of the reasons I stopped and tried to change how I play.

I'm not sure. It would depend if our other PRs were x-shot as well, and I'm not even opening that role-fishing can of worms. Obviously I wouldn't want to lynch our doc. You asked earlier if you were town, who would be wolves and I think the list stays the same, with a highly unlikely chance of Deep Yates.

The Usual Suspects was back in August, so that's was post-hiatus.

Well, what do you see here? What have you done this game that differentiates from your scum games?

Zander and BFG - I have a question:

Am I wrong in thinking 99% of what you said about Town!Dice here also applies to Town!Cory? I'm just not sure how to apply these emotional posts/pleas to his meta. Like - is this more likely Town Cory or Scum Cory?

Gun to head I'd say town but I couldn't be at all confident. At a guess Sooh and Clov can probably give a more accurate read based on this.

BFG I am sorry if I was being excessively snippy to you yesterday. I'm under a similar umbrella of stress with redesigning and doing constant manual labor at the new place, my work office move (which is hilariously happening at the same time) and just a general lack of sleep and almost all of my free time has been spent playing multiple mafia games when I hate multi-talbing in the first place cause I get confused but both games just happened to start at like the same exact time.

I also understand that I can be very volatile and turbulent in negative situations - it's how we get things like Cthulu and Anniversary - and I am again going to try and regain control of my lesser instincts.

We very, very, very direly need to lynch a wolf today. Assuming a 4-player wolf team, we waltz into a LYLO-1 tomorrow if we are wrong today. Let's not be wrong today.

Any insight into Lenlo would be appreciated, I'm going to dig where I can.

AFAICT Tab is doing exactly what she was doing in the Ragnarok game; was present and posting thoughts early and then dropped off significantly later. She was 3P that game, so I have literally no clue what that means to her alignment this game. I've never seen her as Mafia, even dug up old games on another forum she plays on during Ragnarok and couldn't find anything that was helpful.

Her wolf equity is highly tied to the PoE.

That you are

Sooh I'm torn on. I feel like I often read her as scum. I don't want to lynch her over and over again and be wrong.

Honestly I've hit a mental block on the Thane post that Clov pointed out and it's effecting my read/lack of read on Tab.

Like it's such a weird thing to say even for Thane. He's not questioning or speculating the mechanics, he's critiquing the balance of a game in which no wolf roles are actively known based on some town roles that have been either revealed or claimed. I believe it was in an attempt to lead up to a Lenlo vote? I need to reread that and why he said that because it's just not clicking and that's not what I'm talking about when I say "Thane talks about mechanics sometimes"

One time, Cory got into a big emotional fight with Despot and I tried to lynch Cory because Cory is far less stable as mafia than he is as town.  I didn't think Cory would blow up on me over something that was directly tied into solving the game, and I was so obviously town that game (well, I mean, I wasn't but that's only because I have no idea what towntelling is or how to do it) that I couldn't fathom he thought my push was insincere.  So anyways, we ended up not listening to me, and that was a good thing because I was totally wrong about him - he wasn't mafia at all.

He was only the serial killer, who ended up winning because nobody would advocate for his lynch after I died.

So anyways, Cory and I hashed our argument out after the game was over and he insisted that he is capable of those kind of meltdowns (sorry brother, I don't know a more friendly word for it) as either alignment.  A little later, I was watching cthulu as a spectator and saw him completely flip out and get himself modkilled and I just thought he was so obviously town.  And he was, because what are the odds I could be wrong twice?  Not very good.

This is a very long way of saying he's capable of doing it as either alignment.  The key, in my opinion, is he would make more of an attempt to refrain from doing it as mafia.  I don't think he particularly ENJOYS being too attached as either alignment, but he gets heavily invested in mafia, and while I'm pretty sure he understands reasonable skepticism of him...that doesn't mean he's going to like it.  When he's putting in more work than just about anybody and he's STILL getting comments for it, or he's actually trying to solve it and he's discredited for being wrong by people that were too afraid/unwilling/scum to try...he's going to take it personally.  And it's going to flow out into his posts.

Long story short, I think he's very likely to be town this game.  He's made multiple posts that he's gone back and edited because "it wasn't worth it".  I don't think he has to edit those as mafia, because I don't think they ever get made.

I don't think she's playing all that similarly to how she was in Harry Potter, where I was mafia and SHE was town.  She caught some flack early on (I can't remember if it was from town or mafia, I think town) and she spent a bit of D1 on the defensive...but she was there.  She ended up getting mislynched D4, but she still posted her thoughts - even when there wasn't much there.  I'm not prepared to put an overwhelming amount of trust in a 1-game sample size, but she just seems so much more reactive here, and she's not opening up the same.

...also what Cory said about POE. :|
