I do see.  I'm just not sure I believe it's particularly indicative of his alignment at this point.  If Rack had flipped mafia, there's a pretty reasonable chance I would be all for killing Cory for it...but I kind of believe that Cory would be more inclined to interact with Rack (due to being the only person that knows him besides me in the game) if he were scum.

I think you are more likely to distance from a teammate early (especially somebody who isn't likely to be overly high effort) than tie yourself to them.

??? I don't think I've said anything even remotely along those lines.

 

 

If you're a villager I'm literally just disgusted at you. I was probably coming around read-wise in this game and I can't even think at this point because reading the thread just sets my teeth on edge.

Oh that's right, Rack is from another forum, this is his first game here, just noticed from the sign-up thread. Am I interpreting that correctly, Cory? You seem to have met elsewhere. I have my suspicions but it just seems kinda rude to lynch Rack day one as our way of welcoming him here.

Rack/Pral probably contains at least one wolf and as much as I don't want to go through the Pral grinder again it doesn't necessarily make him a villager again

 

Rack is a bit harder to read but I've seen him be villagery as a villager before and in absence here you should understand exactly where that marks him

I'm not confident enough to throw anyone in blue AORN and there's a definite gap in the null list but I think I would still be surprised if there was a wolf in the top 6. I would wager heavily there aren't > 1.

 

Pral's posts seems different to me than Ragnarok where I admittedly misread him but there's more posturing here than otherwise and more of a "making a case and leave" as opposed to the sort of little bits he was giving out. Just doesn't feel genuine to me.

 

 

 

This whole "I'm keeping my cards close to my chest" and "I'd rather they didn't know I was looking at them" thing, is that common for him as town?

 

It's common for WF players in either alignment

Rack can be a villagery villager but sometimes his ranges can get muddled

Nomi I think it's a dangerous dangerous assumption to believe that wolves are going to play well.

 

 

I'm saying I have seen numerous games where villages have chosen to lynch villagers over wolves becase "player can't be a wolf, look how poorly he's played / he's not defending himself / he's not attacking anyone"

 

For the most part I'd argue low-impact slots are by nature a teensy bit > rand wolf in the first place.

 

But DM wolf culture has been so "lay low and hope no one notices" for so long and I know that doesn't apply to Rack but WF wolf culture is very very similar.

 

I just think it's incredibly dangerous to ever think "this guy is too incompetent to be a wolf, so I'll defend him" and is the sort of thing that causes extreme distractions for villagers down the road

 

 

 

Also I don't think Rack's game is an example of an incompetent wolf, nor does he strike me as a player who would be.

I have pretty extensive experience with him, so I'm going to take my word for it over yours LDO

First spoiler is the bit where Rack says that Cory has made no effort to address him, Cory tells him to read the thread.

 

 

Second spoiler is everything Cory said about Rack up to that conversation. At no point is anything addressed directly to Rack, I know he was quiet, bit Shad and Clov had a decent conversation with him. At no point does Cory really sound interested in reassessing Rack (up until the claim).

 

Why is Cory so aggressive in his response to Rack about what Cory had said to Rack up to that point?

 

I don't think I missed anything Cory said about Rack, but my tablet died and I lost the quotes and a more detailed analysis once already.

In the middle are Hallia and Tab. If you flip scum, id say Hallia is town. If you flip town then Hallia is probably scum because I dont remember a game where you were both town and this kinda attitude between you two ever happened. 

 

Is there something that you're separating these for, or is it a lack of good candidates with a Town!sooh?  Off the top of my head, there's no reason that Dice or BFG couldn't be mafia with Sooh (though I don't believe either are).

 

While I fully agree that Cory flipping mafia is enough to write Hallia off, I think you have a big logic gap regarding him flipping town.  I still don't know if I believe that Hallia would want to push Cory early if she's mafia - if at all.  I don't really remember this kind of interaction between the two of them, either, but them both being townies mean they have to feel one another out.  

 

Where are you IRT Thane?  I think he's the only person you've left off.

Dice is probably my most likely villager of that pile by a good margin, but he's not as clear as he could be.
 
I don't think Sooh and Lenlo are ever w/w, looking back at their spat near the end of d1 which seems have been propelled into today.
 
There's a bit from Yates on d1 about Lenlo that actually makes me think they have slightly higher w/w equity than most. It's a joke he made that I think he's the type of guy to make exactly with a fellow wolf. If you know what it is, props to you.

I'm not prepared to go this far, but I think it's an UNLIKELY pairing.  What do you think about the things I posted this morning from Sooh?  The way she sheeped BFG's read on you didn't fit at all with the things she was saying ~a day (IRL) ago, and she backtracked almost immediately for ??????? reasons, I guess.

See now I'm getting paranoid because the wolves have a golden opportunity to defend me and I can't see anything as it comes naturally because honestly I'm MORE wrong than typical when evaluating slots based on me talking to them because I have weird biases that cloud my judgment. I do much better when I can see things unfettered by my own hand, something I learned mentoring.

 

tl;dr - If Clov is a wolf I can do nothing about this game. I think he's a villager but I'm not in the spot where I could do anything about it if I didn't.

I am prepared to go that far. I marked them off on my team sheet at some point late d1 level confident. My team sheet has never had an incorrect mark in the 20+ games I've been using it because I do not make marks lightly.

 

If you want to go into it and explain why I will, but only because it's you.
