Mish targeting BFG t

This was awesome and I'm so sad I couldn't give it all the attention it deserved. Still, town managed to win in spite of me! Woohooo!

I'm quite stoked I sorta managed to guess my role; at the start of game I figured Freya would be a natural choice for Doc. That was of course before I realized it was based on the Marvel-verse. After N1 and seeing Cory and Key being the Doc I was more unsure, googled my character and read her wiki page, and decided at least there was no chance at all I had an aggresive role or investigative, it was either a weak type of protect or vanilla.

Gonna go read dead thread now!

You played a great game.  And protecting BFG at the end there was HUGE.  It didn't actually matter because Tab chose Leelou and Tress for the kill, but it shut off what I saw as her only path to victory: Killing BFG and claiming that night's watcher results (since nobody else would know results weren't distributed that night) to take herself out of the "No Results POE"

No time to post properly, but Tabor played amazingly! I could have cased myself more easily than you yesterday  and was basically spouting rubbish trying to gather momentum XD

Town played great and I'm so sorry I subbed in and basically disappeared for a week.

Was fun anyway <3

Thanks for hosting Kivam!

What was great was that PR were mostly unneeded, although they maybe helped avoid tinfoil at the end. I don't think there were many worlds where the last 3 lunches weren't Tabor, Eldrick and myself in some order...

I just didn't have the time to get you properly yesterday, I had things on at work and it never materialised. It was my first time properly lying in a game too, I felt a bit bad making it out to be that you were ;)

Reading through the game mechanics now, Kiv that is incredibly complex. Thank you for this! And thank you to my lovely mentor Yates for talking me down from some of my panics, and for being a great teacher.

You're welcome, everyone.  Glad you enjoyed, definitely happy to take feedback on the setup.  I know Cory thought it was too anti-town

And btw, this was an incredibly fun watch for me - especially all the reactions in PMs!

Mafia, please post your QT link after deleting all that unnecessary personal trash talk about Cory

Yeah after looking at the JN game and if all the players are ~average I think Mafia or Loki win this set-up about 80-90% of the time

It's really sort of scary this game even got to f5 as is considering town lynched Mafia d2-d5.

There's basically zero room for error, but after I was gone this village made exactly 0 errors

Dear Mish, for when you read this: I get such warm and fuzzy feelings when people actually figure out (or come close to) my mod mechanics and the thought process behind them. "Ragnarok means complete chaos, after all" - yep."

 Happy to oblige!  Sorry I never got closer than that tho XD

Thank yoooou

BFG was a complete spur of the moment thing, honestly. I just chose a person at random and hoped I would get a result to help me narrow down my PoE XD

But I mean it's a wacky set-up that seems really hard to balance and was a lot of fun so don't take that as a slight on you modding <3

Never.

I mean, my family are card players, and when we all get together, we usually play some mean games of Oh Hell. We take twice as long as anyone else, because we dissect every goddamn hand (why'd you play that card?  Should have led trumps! etc.).  Drives other people who join us crazy, but we all know it's not criticism so much as analysis

Hehe yeah, I come from a very "constructive criticism" genealogical line and I sometimes have trouble traipsing the "feedback" vs "criticism" line in my daily life.

We're more hearts players though. Sometimes games end violently.

I think the setup was fantastic Kiv, I'm not good at judging balance and so, but from a players perspective it was great. I loved trying to figure out what was going on.

Hah, atleast that helped nail down the scum.

It really didn't though

I have always had the foremost belief that a town lynch does nothing but lynch a townie and I've never gotten any useful information from that besides that other than "oh a townie is dead"

Of course I don't really believe in wagonomics or vote logic and afaict in this game town just lynched the people who weren't villagery and it worked out pretty well
