What? My Laine vote cut off all my justification below it.... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not recreating all that. The short short version is Lainey is spinning her wheels and going nowhere.

Red is part of Mish WoT

Zander, this is what I wanted you to answer...

You say "sorry if I don't take you completly at your word" when it comes to my meta. Fine, I don't expect you to. But several OTHERS in this game have commented on my meta, and that you choose to ignore.

Also, your reason for calling is scum are because of emo posts, overractions, defensive, not game solving. The only part of that that I explained on my own meta is the not game solving. And as you might have noticed too, no-one disagreed with me on it. The other parts, I explained after the part of my post you bolded and underlined. I'll copy it in again. I will bold the words that you used to describe us.

The reasons you have for suspecting us don't add upp. Kiv admitted quite early his emo was fake. Several other people have pointed out I am an emotional, defensive player who reacts strongly, and we've spent the majority of the game trying to defend ourself, because the times we HAVE tried to do some proper gameplay (me looking at Shad i.e.) that just makes people attack us more (not an attempt a AtE, just a fact.)

So, your reasons for calling us mafia is non-existant. I tried to point it out to you, and you have ignored me and kept your vote. That makes me think you are mafia. I unvoted you because I wanted to see how you responded, and I'm massivly underwhelmed. So I will Vote: Zeph

Excuse me if I dont take him at his word.  Anyone could do something, get some heat for it and then say it was a test.

Several other people pointed out i can carry my meta/personality out as both town and scum so why do I look bad to you for believing a more experienced player could do the same?

2 things: 1st- Thats called an opinion and it doesnt mean you are right.  2nd= Im not the only one doing so....others have pointed out some of the same things and elaborated on them,

I would be too if I were you and randed wolf.

Zander - Can you please take a look at Lainey in ISO and honestly tell me that she is playing her Town game?

I'll try to get an ISO on her but in general:

Having both played town and scum with her recently I feel Alanna is more cautious. careful and easily defensive as Scum!Alanna.  Like shes worried about how others are reading her.  I find this game shes posting thoughts on people without knowing people's alignment.  I like her tone and shes not backing down or away from her reads. In a nutshell I dont feel shes playing the same way as Bellicheat but more like ME imo.

I've also seen some well shes just spinning her wheels type comments and to that I say its D1 on a 28 person game.....calm down.  This crazy game of Mafia we love can take some time to get into the zone for some of us.

OK, checking in to say Shabbos is over and catchup looks as bad as I feared.  Planning on doing a massive reread from post 1 through end of thread with live commentary later tonight, but right now my wife needs my help putting our house back together, so it will be late

Yah, could vote Kiv for that alone

Real weird reaction from Hally to my "policy lynch AJ" vote.  Not sure why it would be treated any differently than any other early D1 random vote.

Soft push imo.  Not inconsistent with town or scum AJ behavior.  Need moar.

Cory pocket denied.  Key pocket accepted.

Very early serious vote from Sili, which I like to see (to avoid misinterpretations: because I like when games move past the spammy-jokey stage as early as possible, not because I take it as an alignment tell)

Hey sili, if you want me and you can go talk in this corner over here, I think it's safe.

I guess I'm going to McDonald's and eating it in the corner by myself then.

Wow... my car broke down on the way to McDonald's.

You're cute. Say, I'll give you a ride to McDonald's.

Vote: Seph

cause piggy-backing a joke vote is a bad sign.

Back to spam until Sili posts his early reads list.  Very early for this sort of thing, but he gives well thought out reasons for his reads for this early.  Call this lightly positive for him; easy to fake as scum, but also uncommon enough that there's no real reason to do it.

<snip>
Kay,

Town:
AJ

Null:
Kivam
Hallia
Talya
Lenlo
Seph

Yellow:
Wish-Tree
Shad

had to Hyrda this game cause im gonna be tied up some over the next little while and prolly wont be as active as i normally am.

The mind reels.  (Said the pot to the kettle)

On the whole, liking the back and forth between Sili and Lenlo over the Seph/Zander Hydra thing.  Feels very unforced ... doubt they're both scum if either of them are.

Sili did something that I thought was >>>> to come from his as a villager but I don't remember what it is, I just remember reading it and marking it down in my head

Moer things to find!!!

@ Sili you also didnt answer my question asking you if you were town which is a little unsettling imo.

What?  Does anyone actually take this "are you town" stuff seriously?

Random sidenote/connection: My synagogue has youth groups for the children during sabbath prayers, but the regular youth leaders are not around for the summer so the parents take turns volunteering to run them.  This week was my week with the older group (2nd grade - 6th grade) which meant running them through davening (prayers) and playing games with them ... so I introduced them to mafia.  We had 12 kids so we did a standard 3 scum goons, 7 townies, cop, doc game.  The kids had a blast, came down to a three person endgame that town won (with a little cheaty help from the deadlings), but the reason I bring it up is that the first lynch happened when one girl asked another "are you mafia" - and the first time mafioso and clearly terrible liar ... nodded.

So it was a pretty awesome shabbos all around.

But short of playing with third graders, what do people actually expect to get out of these questions?  The thought of using a response or nonresponse to "are you town" as a basis to cast suspicion on someone is absurd.

Probably because it wasn't 'any other early D1 random vote'
