i dont know about anyone else but this progression of Verbs is just off imo. in the off chance Rand flips town and with staing he thinks Rand/Alanna is v/w yet refuses to Hammer her is a very very bad look imo.

Completely agree. Sort of sucks for Verb randing wolf like 3 games in a row recently but yesterday he seemed between a rock and hard place in where to vote. One wolfmate or the other.

Don't even know how to start this post. First off, an apology for whatever the hell happened right now, and I am so sorry if it hurts the balance of the game. Essentially, I thought I submitted my night action at work and didn't check to see if it actually went through. Either because of my stupid phone which I just replaced today, or some DM nonsense, it didn't go through. I checked back at 8:40 on the thread to see what had happened during the night and realized my kill hadn't gone through. Frantically went through my messages, and without quoting/paraphrasing any mod speak, I found out that my submission hadn't gone through. I honestly have no concrete idea on why this didn't happen, anything from my data shut off in the middle and it didn't send, or some random CloudFare thing, or something else I haven't thought of yet. Whatever happened, I feel extremely guilty that I didn't check that I submitted my action before deadline to make sure that town had the best chance of winning.

But this isn't a pity show, nor will you believe whatever I tell you because you think I just concocted this story to "stay alive", so I guess its back to logic. Let's pretend I'm scum (all next content is from that POV). There are two options related to Verbal that are possible here.

A) Verbal is town. There would be no reason at all for me to make this up, I would have just shot Verbal and then said, "hey you guys told me to do this, I did it, now lets lynch the 'deep wolf'. Therefore, it is obvious that I must be telling the truth about the technical glitch IF Verbal is town.

B) Verbal is mafia. I didn't shoot him, because I didn't want to kill my only other partner. BUT There' two things wrong with this. I'm not an idiot, and I know that if I don't shoot Verbal, then I'm lynched next, and you guys figure this out and lynch Verbal after that. So it would be utterly idiotic for me to not kill him. Its not even a WIFOM move either, because even with WIFOM, I'm in a more dangerous position now, THERE ARE NO BENEFITS. Both Verbal and I would have to be utter idiots for this to happen.

By this logic, there is no way that I am mafia. But let me extend it a step further. Lets say that you only believe part A, which is cut and dry not possible. From an outside perspective, w/v Rand/Verb is impossible. However, if Verbal and I are both mafia, there is no drawback to lynching either of us, it doesn't even matter. And because of part B, since I have a higher chance of being town than Verb, and I have a vig shot still, its better to keep me alive than Verbal.

And finally, your last concern. But Rand, what if you are the double mafia vig and you want to save your last kill? There's absolutely no way that I don't use both kills last night if this is true. I would not risk an entire kill on you guys believing this whole thing. But could this be WIFOM? No, because I gain no benefit at all from risking the kill, then just using it right away. We're not close to lylo or mylo at all, so that means by saving a day, I do absolutely nothing. I simply risk the kill for no benefit.

Also, I just received information that I can try to explain what happened in the mod messages without quoting. So here goes.

When I logged into DM, I saw the messages box with a red notification. I assumed it was just an acknowledgement of my action, but when I clicked on it, it was Seph giving me a countdown to when the deadline was, sending me messages with how much time I had left to submit. That's the moment when I freaked out and I pleaded to Seph and Darthe to let them keep my action, as I was in right after night ended, and the scene had just been written. I explained to them the technical difficulties I had. At that point, Seph was online, Darthe was not, and he said he couldn't rule without Darthe, Skyped him, and Darthe came on. Darthe then asked me to clarify my problem, and said that I shouldn't worry, I wasn't breaking the game, but unfortunately he couldn't do anything. He also said that there's enough in the thread for me to convince people that I'm town. I responded that I would try, and then I messaged him about paraphrasing what he said. Seph originally said no, but Darthe came in later and said fine. Darthe also advised me on a strategy to take, that it might not be best for me to be completely transparent and that I should say I holstered for some reason, or that I forgot to submit my action. I told Darthe that transparency might be better because no one will believe those two things, and plus I have a logic case built up.

And that's the end, I hope that you believe me. I'm sorry if you don't, and I'm sorry for fing this up for town. I just beseech you guys to not blindly block me out, and just listen to the logic.

Like - I hate to say that I think Rand is lying, but I have a seriously hard time believing that. Just like I couldn't really believe he was oblivious to missing two entire phases when he checked in D2.

If you're town then I'm sorry Rand - that's some crappy luck but you're a suspect for a reason and need to be cleared and nothing you say at this point changes my mind tbh.

If you're a wolf then I'm sad to see you stoop in an attempt to save yourself in this manner.

Verbal is obviously my #1. For my #2 its more PoE but my strongest town reads are Zander, Shad, Dice, and Thane. Like I said before slight scum read on AJ, and then more nullish on Talya and BFG.

Yeah, believe me, the last 20 minutes has been refreshing my personal messaging thing, writing down this, checking with Darthe what was and not allowed, and also trying to get it done before someone hammered me.
