Alien mafia [BASIC] - Game Over - Town won

Get back here Verb, I have done an ISO so that you don't feel left out. No idea why I missed it all..

 

Verb

• comments on Elds vote about his town list, and ignores the N0 peek talk as silly.
• He cleared Eld in another game with behaviour like this because he couldn't believe he wouldn't be coached in the QT an he was wolf.
• thinks it is either a mistake as town or a slip as wolf but thins that info will be garnished from those voting and not voting
• Asks Yates what he thought of his explanation about Eld being coached in QT
• Says about my previous games to Dae when voting and was reading a mistake on my vote not a slip - this worries me slightly
• Votes Dae
• Could go with a Hallia, Dae or Heart lynch. thinks that he usually has Hallia pegged wolf or town by this time.

I do get worried when people defend me a bit. doesn't mean much on it's own. I have to agree with him about Hallia. I could with her lynch, I'm holding off on Dae for the moment I could go with his lynch too and then a toss up between Alanna and Heart. I should be back tomorrow before deadline so I'm not going to vote yet.

• comments that Eld always posts in catch up mode and it's not indicative
• Dae seems town to her and has good observations, Alanna seems towny with good town process, On the fence with eld, Heart feels like she did in Middle Earth and was wolf there and I feel the same to her in the same game.
• Liked AH saying that Eld flipped all over the place.
• Defends Darthe
• Day 2 Will ISO Dae and thinks that Shad analysing his wolf game is a bit weird - I have to agree with her there
• Not much with Darthe, She says she has read him correctly before, Not sure about this bit
• Asks Sili what he thinks of Darthe
• ISOs Darthe and says there isn't anything there to help us solve anything, no theories just finger pointing, This lack of solving makes her think that Darthe is wolf and votes him.
• Says she will be doing ISO's tonight.

I'm not getting wolf from her, I'm not sure she is right about Darthe I think he is bored with the game, because it is slow and tried to get reactions out of people.

No I didn't keep a low profile I wasn't able to get on. Put it in the other game I'm in but not in this one unfortunately. I was writing the post as you voted. I thought he was going to flip wolf. I did actually think it would look bad whether he was wolf or town but made the decision to do it. I really didn't think about a reveal which was stupid on my part I know.

 

I was reading through Talya's posts. she has a few social ones in the beginning, then scumreads eldrick for an inconsistency, votes him, says the above,  and is now catching up.

I think there is a bit of a stalemate here at the moment. I would think there is at least one wolf on me (although the ones I think could be wolf there are 3). The two not voting right now are myself and Alanna. Considering both Dae and myself were high on her list of wolf leans, she doesn't want to vote either of us.

 

I have just seen sili's post. I know it will be between the two of us, I can't see anything changing the more I look at it. I want to go to bed, but need to be clear in my head. I could put my vote on a holding person, but I don't think that makes sense, I have pointed out those I think lean towards wolf.

Oki.. going to go through and read everyone in ISO now. 

 

Shad - He defends Eldrick during D1. No clear TMI, but enough hinting for it to be strange. He also seems to have extensive knowledge about the game for only having read a bit of House of Cards. That's very impressive to pick up on all that from only reading one game, if that's indeed what you did. He had a semi-strange post around EOD 1 when he felt "really, really awesome right now, even though we're losing." 

 

He has a couple of posts whick I find strange. He seems to be hinting at a wolf meta, even though he says this is his first game. It just pings me to have such a clear idea about how you would behave in a situation you haven't been in. 

 

I find myself leaning mafia on him. 

 

Dae - I have a hard time seeing anything but commentary in his posts. At the beginning I liked this and that he was observant about what was going on and such. He seems to be posting a lot of content, but when you read it there's really not much there. I wish by now that he would have made a much stronger stance one way or another. Wouldn't mind lynching him today.

 

Alannalynn - I haven't seen anything that really concerns me in her posts as of yet. Leaning town here.

 

Verb - I feel good about Verb too. Nothing that really pings me. Town lean.

 

Hallia has barely made any reads or contributed to anything yet. Scum lean.

 

Darthe - His lack of game solving may not be alignment indicative. I just don't like the constant prodding without trying to look deeper to see if there are wolves there. I am still leaning mafia though, but I won't get him lynched today.

Heart - She reads 2/3 of the players scummy, which is a little strange, then again, as I'm writing this I realize that I also probably have too many scum reads, so maybe she's paranoid town too. Null for now.

 

Sili - Strange to me how he was town reading Darthe all of D1, and then all of a sudden scum read him. He seems to be veering towards reading him town now, so idk. I like his pushes on people though, and it seems to me like he's trying to solve the game, so I'm giving him a town lean.

 

Talya - I agree that the hammer does make her look bad. Not quite sure that makes her mafia though, just eager town. I'll put a null read for now, because everyone else reading her scummy is making me slightly paranoid. 

 

Notbob - I have said it before and I'll say it again. I'm having issues reading him. He DOES seem to be prodding people to make reads, but there's little follow up. Make it a null for now.

 

*sidenote: you do need a new nickname because it's a nightmare to ISO you. Reading PAGES worth of the thread before finding a post of yours to cut and paste the name from doesn't really do it for me!*

The crew of the Nostromo was getting increasingly anxious with every passing moment. After failing to find an invader on their ship the previous day, the crew set up traps hoping to catch whatever creatures were aboard the vessel. As they all sat around eating dinner, alarm bells sounded. The crew rushed to see what was making the commotion. Dae was calmly sitting there, waiting to be set free. The crew was ready to let him go, but then they started to have doubts. Dae was becoming belligerent and started to hiss. He stood up to his full height and the crew quickly killed him before he could strike.

This.  I feel better here about Laine.  Say Talya is town.  A scummy Laine could have easily gone with Talya and saved a partner.  It makes Tal a liiiiittle less likely to be mafia, but it makes me feel way better about Laine.

You could say the same for 4 other people, could you not? And if you still suspect Tal despite Dae making her his counterwagon, why feel better about Laine specifically?

In that read up I liked how Talya responded to the pressure. She didn't flail much; just shrugged it off and went about her business of looking at people, and I feel like that hammer was natural enough, not a weird forced one. It makes me feel a little better about her. Totally possible she was intentionally trying to do that to not appear scummy, but I'll accept it for the time being. 

 

Oh and Talya--will try to do a little more analyzing of what I see and find interesting. I do pull from notes a lot but I try to also give thoughts on these actions. Am wary of jumping to incorrect assumptions however; there's a million different things anything can mean.

I don't consider Verbal's tunnel or Laine's posts clearing. I think Verbal's strategy might be to go under cover as a deep wolf, which is kind of the opposite of last game so it makes sense aesthetically.

 

Just my gut speaking for me. I might change my mind tomorrow.

@ AH - I understand the notes, and that bit is a good idea, but the format is really hard to read for me.

 

Going to go back and have a look at Dae later. Now I must do some housework..
