Games run about 20-30 minutes. Overall people are bad but it can be entertaining at times.

I've never played EM so I couldn't give you any differences.

 

Basically you're a little cartoon village where every house is strangely and conveniently positioned around a gallows in the middle of the town.

 

In the standard game the role set is pretty dynamic but always the same (except for a random town & random town killing role) so you pretty much know what to expect every game. There are no vanilla roles save for the Mafioso who gets promoted to Godfather if the original dies, but honestly the beginning of the game is mostly random luck that one of the village PRs investigates, jails, role blocks, watches, etc correctly and you sort of go from there.

 

There's also several indy roles. An Executioner (lyncher), Jester and SK.

 

It's not heavily reliant on strategy and the games are pretty fast paced. Day lasts about a total of a minute to get your votes onto the right person before you move into Night phase. It can be entertaining just to troll on there sometimes and wins aren't hard to come by if you ~know how to play Mafia.

FYI, my advanced game is going to be based on this game. same roleset, just converting it to forum.
