First off I was trying to use meta on both you and turin, I have recently found out that meta why not unreliable, is one of the worst ways to actually scum hunt. ( i have been trying to do research)

If you like I will post a bunch of quotes from both games which I find town/and wolf turin different. I felt the need to make a page long post explaining this is irrelevant, and takes away from actual game conversation. As you are the only one who has not liked my response I will work on this now, and come back to answer your other questions later.

I keep odd hours and most of the content up until about 12 hours or so ago was people checking in and saying they'd "be back to update" or other useless filler. My opinions hadn't changed and there was little new to comment on so I waited for said responses.

think the ithi/turrin/seph/tress start off town on town crime needs to stop. as im leaning towards town with them.

Not really. I agree with you for the most part that we need more content and nobody who has been talking a lot is really suspicious to me at the moment.

As far as my reads go for now I am leaning town on a few players. I think Nolder responded to me yesterday with a reasonable amount of paranoia that strikes me as villagery to being mentioned like that. Still wish he was around more though to help push the game.

So let me get this straight. Let's say someone builds a great case on a player (say Kaylee for irony's sake). Then they don't vote her. But they wait around and after a few more people jump on using that case, they join in and vote. Suddenly, if they flip town they can claim "Oh but I only joined the train. I didn't start it!" And you can honestly say that that's not completely scummy?

Obviously this is hyperbolic, but my point stands. It was a scummy opportunistic jump on the vote train.

While I see your point, inactives are inherently anti-town, and IIRC mafia likes to hide in the shadows D1 so as to not get lynched and then just egg on D1 cases later on to get easy lynches.

I don't like in actives but I think it should be the mods job to deal with them. Saying you want to lynch in actives is basically allowing an easy lynch without having to give reasons. Also they have no interaction in the game so even when you get the flip it can't help you.

Blind lynching is a very bad idea. 

 

There's something here. Especially with Thane voting notbob, then disagreeing with the reasoning of the other two people voting him (force him into activity) and not unvoting. 

Not sure how I feel about all of it yet, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on all four of you.

First off I hope this is all in order and makes *sense* as I did it in notepad. I did notice something in my reread but it is nothing to make me think him non town.

 

(First off this, anything I  typed should be in parenthesis. I hoped my spoiler tag works so i dont take up the whole page)

(This is just my view and it will change as I play with him, which is why it is nothing more than a hunch)(there is significantly more posts in the other game, so i tried to keep it all early.)

 

 

The one thing Turin always does is go along with Ithi - regardless of whether he is mafia or town, he says he trusts her instincts and will defend her -- unless it becomes obvious that she's mafia when he's not.  And she rarely ends up being anything other than town, so it works out for him most of the time.  It's hard to consider them separately in games sometimes because of the way they work together, but I have to try, just keep in mind that that behavior is alignment neutral for both of them.

 

 

(Wolf Turin) I think wolf Turin tries more, I think he defends her, to a over defensive state. tries to set up multiple cases to see who jumps on them. he also seems to buddy his wolves besides ithi.

There were a very specific set of circumstances yesterday that created the delay to her normal game start. I know this had nothing yo do with her alignment and everything to do with my change in style. You can ascribe all.of this as "gameplay" itt but that take would be incorrect. 

 

As to your shock that I would defend her at that point, really? Really? IMO I didn't even defend her that much. I ess asked my opinion by seph and you about what was going on with Ithi and why she was playing differently. I answered those questions, if somewhat ambiguously. Again read the words she typed on those first few pages. Remove that this is a game and form a conclusion why she played "different".

With him having almost no content, and claiming it like he did I think he has moved for my most suspicious. as I said I don't want to mislynch him though for just being zander. He did some things last game, although not quite like that. But they did get him lynched as a townie. He is a very difficult person to read.

The thing with him claiming is that he's pretty much cornered himself now. He's either what he says he is, or he's lying and that'll become apparent as the game goes on.

and just discount any posts that are not from this game - there's a few from the Darthe sign up thread for example.

 

I've put it in ascending order for you, so you can see that AJ's posts are fluffy and have no real content for quite some time. There's some bits and bobs about hunches - which again amuses me as he's asked me for actual reasons. Once he 'seems' to be turning his game face on you'll see that he's generally asking people what they think about other people. This is a good tactic for not actually having to give reads and ideas of your own while seeming to be an active participant. He never follows up on his thoughts and questions though, which makes me think he really doesn't care what the answers are and he's just asking for the sake of asking. And then there's the 'hey let's lynch the inactives' lazy push. Which would mean he'd still not have to give any stances. Most of the time he's saying he's not sure about most people. He's got Nolder as Town and I can't even remember what Nolder said about anything.

 

Oh ... he also uses a shed load of smilies but Seph hasn't pointed that out even though he says Tress is doing it too and that makes her Mafia.

 

So basically he's a fluffy null poster who wants other people to give their opinions. I think he's doing that so it seems like he's providing real game content without having to provide hardly any of his own thoughts about people.

Consider how useful those question have been to the game, who they're focusing on and who they're avoiding? Also think about just how drunk you'd be if you ever played the AJ random question game. Who gets fluff and who gets questions? Who is the subject of those questions? And now see all three of them voting for Not Bob and trying to encourage others to see that as a viable train by asking what we think of Not Bob.

 

Finally go through the posts and see how often he actually seems to respond or care about getting an answer. Not many times - I counted twice of the top of my head.

 

We should be voting Seph for now, as I think AJ is providing cover and trying to push another candidate to prevent the Seph lynch. AJ is Mafia too, in my eyes ... so I wouldn't mind a counter train on AJ to see what happens there. I think Thane might be Mafia as well and I've got the heebie jeebies about Eldrick.

I think I've given a healthy amount of stances both voluntarily and when asked for them. Also, it's perfectly acceptable that I ask questions that sometimes I don't respond to. As you can see, we're nearing 4 days into the game and we're just breaking into the 20s as far as page count goes - so by asking questions I get people to talk. If I don't feel the need to answer, then I don't, but each question I ask has a purpose those answers go into my weird little alignment calculator in my head for further examination.

This is where the targeted mafia person tries to negate the vote on them by claiming it's just me tunnelling. I cant do it tonight, but tomorrow I'll have all evening to go through his posts and show you how his reasons for voting me change and also how his opinions on me change when I won't let the vote go. Seph is also backing AJ up. That's nice isn't it :)

 

Btw Seph ... you were voting me and not Turin. Remember? You've never voted for Turin.
