I'm leaving my vote on Darthe though, because the his lynch not going through while he was at L-1(Well, L-2 except for a 40 min window, but still close) is a valid point towards him being scum.

So elephant in the room question - what do we want to do with the survivor? Lynch him now or later? 

 

I could also switch out Yates and/or Darthe with Barm and/or Thane. 

I love your take on that. I tend to not trust survivor claims.

 

What exactly is my take on that? I just didn't see him flat out say survivor when I was catching up this morning, but it seems to be heavily implied. 

 

I agree on your take of lynching a survivor, claimed or implied. I support a lynch like that, as I don't trust survivors. Too easy to fake claim.

 

 

If this is the case, why haven't you pushed him?

 

For the record, you're not wrong about it being easy to fake claim; I'm just inclined to believe Dice is telling the truth in this case.  It's in the role list, and we know he's telling the truth about not being a serial killer.  He could be mafia, but he did offer up that piece about Darthe and I both being right shortly after I made the post.  He would have had enough time to talk it over in scum chat, but I like that he didn't try to fight it or accuse me of being wrong.

 

It's also worth noting that the role list says the seer will get the targeted player's alignment.  If he's mafia and genuinely believed I copped him, I wouldn't have gotten "not town" or something else ambiguous like that - I would have gotten a report that said "mafia".  So the reaction seems appropriate IMO.

 

The main reason I haven't pushed him is the same reason I haven't pushed anyone else yet. I have been busy lately, and haven't gotten the chance to sit down and reread, or do ISOs.  I'm doing that later today.

 

But, if dice had gotten pressure, I have no problem lynching a survivor. I have been burned too many times with a fake survivor claim.

Basically I think the Verbal kill points at Darthe and makes an easy bit of wifom for him to say "they've obviously framed me". Couple that with his generally scummy behavior in Day 1 (even Darthe admitted that all of the votes on him were valid) and I think he definitely needs to die. Bonus is getting rid of his nasty attitude towards DM mafia and the fact that it'll be an informative lynch towards the rest of the game.

My vote is good to stay on Darthe, and likely will not move until he or I are lynched unless there is a really really good reason for it. I think he is scum and even if he isn't scum I think he's bringing down the game and dying is the only favour he can do it at this point.

 

I disagree with Dice that my reason for my vote is weak. Darthe's trolling OMGUS only makes me feel better about where my vote is. He also did spend day 1 being blatantly scummy, as acknowledged by himself. The fact that nobody died on Day 1 when he was that close also suggests to me that scum didn't want him dead, which means I do want him dead. I might have changed my vote had I realised that we'd end up with a no-lynch like that but like Thane it EOD was 3am my time, I was long asleep (I agree with Sili, it is more valuable to have a successful lynch on Day 1 - more information for the game to work with on Day 2). The timing of my vote today was unfortunate, being the 3rd I think vote on the Darthe wagon, but I voted based on my opinions of whether he was scum, and nothing else.

 

Why vote for Lily over Darthe? At the time I felt that she had shown more scummy behavior and was more likely of the two to be scum, and under pressure she did not handle herself well. I was not adverse to lynching Darthe though, as can be seen by my two votes on him this game.

 

In regards to the low activity levels for me - Frankly Darthe's pissy attitude towards DM mafia has annoyed me enough as to make the game unenjoyable (and yet somehow his nasty comments are supposed to show he loves DM mafia?), so I've been posting a lot less than I normally do. To be frank, this is a secondary reason why I don't intend to move my vote off of Darthe until he or I are dead. This is the last I'm going to say on this topic, I don't want to hinder the game any more than I already have so I'll be making an effort to be more active and make meaningful contributions from here on out.

Also, since it appears you may need help with some of the subtleties of this game, there are two other things you should know.

 

1. Sili was trying to provide Vig cover for you. I think I'm one of two or people in this game that would do something like that as scum. Sili isn't one of them.

 

2. Clov is trying to lay down Seer cover. Again, I think I'm one of two or people in this game that would do something like that as scum. Clov isn't one of them.

Having two conf Town and a 3rd conf non-mafia this early in the game is a big advantage. Scum will have to take out one of Sili or Clov [and likely leave Dice alive] in order to eliminate conf Town because they can't win an end game with two conf Town still alive.

 

Darthe is mislynch bait. I think they were hoping Sili would be their next mislynch frame up. Amateurs.

 

Gut tells me one of Leelou or Nyn is scum.

 

There's 1 scum on the Lili wagon and it's either Darthe or Barm. Being that I think Darthe is mislynch bait? The math is easy here.

 

I don't think Dice fake claims survivor as scum so I'm inclined to believe his claim.

 

I'm guessing there's a 3 man scum team in a game this size given vig and survivor. So that leaves 1 scum in you, Thane or Eldrick.

 

I can read Thane with high accuracy. I should know by EoD if he is Town or Scum. I'd cop Eldrick, as I said last night. And if I had copped Eldrick last night I'd cop you next as an unknown entity to me.
