I quoted a verbal post I was talking about. Other votes on Darthe were, as far as I'm aware, basically that he sucks, was caught and he entirely didn't expect to get caught (lol!), and due to [reasons] he couldn't do it as town.

 

No one's reasons were the worst. It was one reason that was bad, phrased differently. Some of the phrasing was bad though, and I think that's been covered in the thread so far.

But I am just trying to work through my suspicions and gut reactions to players and their content by being forthright and honest about my thoughts. There is nothing 'dirty' about what i'm doing. i am not intentionally misleading anyone, and that is why i pulled up the mq to make sure people knew i was completely legit.

 

 

I like this post. I still think you're off your rocker but between this and a couple of your immediately following posts I think you're looking pretty town right now.

The point of your play is for there to be a disconnect, unless you're saying I should vote you.

 

I could totally vote you since there's a high chance between you and the people on your wagon there is always at least one scum.

I dont mind getting voted. I find it beyond suspect that those voting me are specifically (and exclusively) a group of players that has specifically played on DM or with one another elsewhere. Does it indicate a cultural bias or something?

 

 

Or it so happens that those old DM players think you're behaving scummy? I think you're reading far too much into this. Maybe if it was a trend every single game.

 

Thoughts so far:

 

1. AJ - Null to me.

2. Clov - Been good so far except for his not changing his vote, as MrsClov pointed out. Slightly town read but close to null.

3. Thane - Somebody commented on his lack of content, and I agree that this is a problem (even I've done more this game and you are all complaining about my quietness). If Thane is too sick to play he should give up his spot to somebody else, or he should come in and start sharing his thoughts with us.

4. Sili - Town leaning as I mentioned above. Don't care for his reads but I think more likely town with eh reads than scum framing people up.

5. Verb - Town leaning right now. He hasn't done any backtracking or about faces or anything like that.

6. Nyn - Town to me but she always comes across to me as town. Disagree with her case on Zasha as usual.

7. Leelou - Pretty null so far. She isn't playing her "I don't care" game but she hasn't really faced any heat yet so we'll see.

8. Lily - I just went back and checked all of her posts. Lily actually seems the most scummy to me right now. Her only real content is to say Darthe isn't scummy, and then to vote Darthe.

9. Darthe - Generally trolling and not being helpful, scummy but less so than Lily. Think his whole "Old DM people are ganging up on me" thing is weird.

10. MrsClov - Reading pretty town to me right now

11. Yates - Fairly null so far, Verb made some valid points but it isn't really enough to call him scum yet I think.

12. Zashara - Null thusfar, for the reasons I explained before.

13. dice - Mostly null read. He's jumping on Sili's case on me which seems scummy, but he's not bandwagoning which kinda nullifies the scummy aspect.

14. Barm - Oh hey its me.

hello all of you. I'll read the thread from the start and try to place people where i feel they belong. Either town, null or possible scum.

 

i'm doing better, medications finally kicked in and i can finally have some coffee to wake up.

From the past couple of pages I feel strongly that Dice is town (I've been soul reading him without flaw for 2-3 years now) and Clov is trending up slightly for me.  Miss clov still seems solid as ever and the argument Sili presents for his defense of me makes sense to me.  He is saying he wants to catch mafia and that he doesn't think the way that people are going about trying to lynch me really has anything to do with me being mafia so he worries that the odds of those people being wrong are higher for it.  

 

 

 

Town read on mrs clov but null on clov.   Sili is putting in townie effort but I am still wary of him

it's so upsetting i've gotten flack for it that i hate you. i hope you realize that this spite is eternal and if you're morgana omg that would be amazing.

 

 

Used to that I would play to whatever character I was given in a theme game.  That didn't work so well.

For the purpose of simplifying things, perhaps even clarifying them, can we assume that I have read every page that I have posted on and all of the ones leading up to posts on either side?  I have only missed like 6 pages of this game and they seem mostly inconsequential.  

 

FTR I haven't seen verb push like this before but I don't think I've ever heard it said that that is alignment indicative of him either.  It just seems like maybe he believes me an unnaturally strong read (which seems townie).  I doubt he would take the flak for it knowing he is wrong if he were mafia which greatly limits the chances of him being scum.

 

Lily I still am abysmal at reading so I don't trust my judgement there.

 

Leelou and nyn vote me practically every game.  They don't get my sexy play-style.  I'm more surprised that Nyn isn't on me yet.

 

Barm sticks out to me, both for the weak vote and the weak reasoning he has used to justify it so far.  If I have made gains here it is that I think Verb less likely mafia for it and Barm greatly more likely to be mafia.

 

Can you talk to me about this?  You've never heard what is alignment indicative?  Him doing something you've never seen?

 

Verb being aggressive or using heavy-handed rhetoric etc has never been an alignment indicative tell for him so far as I know.  The only one that is a tell related to how he speaks on thread is that as mafia or TP he will eventually give off this puppet-master vibe because he tends to be so very proactive in those roles.

AJ: really wish AJ is town here. Can see why he's suspicious of Clov.

Verbal: i do think Verb is town this game.

Darthe: I doubt Darthe is scum this game. i'll go with my gut feeling on this.

Nyn: feels like townie nyn for now, seems at ease in the game.

 

null:

Clov: feel like the entire discussion lead by him could've been made from both town and scum clov.

Yates: need more from him.

Mrs.Clov: overal posting seems very townie to me. Though, votes me for lack of content, while lily and dice havea more or less equal low count. Just to hear more from me? hesitating putting her somewhere else than null.

dice: i'd like more on other players from you bro. And keep Bunyan away, i'm here

Zashara: she tries her best to defend herself, though i'd like more thoughts from her so i can have a more solid opinion on her.

Leelou: votes barm, then Darthe, with still an option on Barm, not really making a stance, and not much to go by.

Barm: votes Darthe without much of posting behind it. really don't have a good feel on him.

Lily: votes Darthe based on verb's case. Some casing of her own would get her up to null, but now, suspect.

 

It might not seem much, but it's all i got for now. I'll try to follow the thread more closely and interact more too. And, thanks for all the wellwishes.

My issue is that Lily said beforehand that her level of activity is gonna be low (checking in once a day). So when she does show up, it's mostly once most things have already been said. You don't always have some new perspective to add so it boils down to reviewing the thread and deciding what looks most compelling (Think back to how Kaylee was playing in the last game, if you recall. She just kept agreeing with cases the entire game and never generating any of her own). So I don't want to label it as necessarily scummy. I'm gonna ISO her tomorrow morning and see if anything catches my eye. But her having a total of 7 posts makes it impossibly hard. Or maybe just impossible. Heh.

I'm sorry you find me so scummy but many people have this game and that clearly doesn't reflect my alignment or intentions.  I thought I gave some good reads but I am a mod so you can't blame me if I have sucked up a ton of game space making a fruitless argument.  Meh.

 

I think Mrs Clov, Verb and dice look town, don't feel so good about Nyn and think you're outright scum.
