I could but I won't. Make your own reads. I don't want my opinions to influence others and am suspicious of anyone who does. I made my vote and said who I thought were scum. That's enough for day 1. Anything else is spam at this point.

 

I *have* made my own read on Hally/Cory. Earlier today even. I'm trying to discern a read on YOU and knowing your reasons behind your thought process is integral to that.

 

Also, if you do think she/they are scum, why *wouldn't* you try to influence others to think the same way? Isn't that the point of the game?

That post didn't, I'm just tired of seeing you mention me as if I was doing anything to you this game. My personal opinion shouldn't be dragged into this.

 

We can pretend stuff doesn't carry from game to game but it does and I'd rather just resolve it outright than force it into the closet for the rest of existence.

I will do my best to work logically and try not to make the games less fun.

 

 

 

 

This makes me think you felt I didn't treat you with respect when you first started playing.  I've made a 'DM career' inside and outside of mafia by being respectful, thoughtful, and courteous to folks.  So I don't really agree with your representation of our interactions.

I'd lean more towards the "some people simply don't get along" scenario.  Maybe I caught you at the wrong time when we first crossed paths.  Maybe your first impression on me wasn't favorable, and that's what got us off on the wrong foot.  Maybe its too late to alter that, dunno.

 

But I still maintain what I said in the post you quoted.  Discworld was a perfect example of how it should always be - I don't care about the outcome of the game.  I care about the positive environment inside the game.

 

I know you do as well, so we should focus less on the fact that we don't particularly care for each other, and more on the "making DM mafia games fun for everybody" aspect.  Agreed?

 

 

I don't really remember ever having a problem with you and I still have pretty much no issue with you. As far as I can tell, you're a swell enough guy and it's the reason I'm willing to ~apologize when I've gotten out of line in the past (which has certainly happened).

 

I want to go about the rest of my games here similarly to Discworld but unfortunately circumstances that I believe were out of my control made it very hard for me to do that here. Going to wipe the slate clean and start from this moment because I agree with the "let's try to make games fun here" more than anything we'll probably ever agree on

It means "approximately" but I think it's just sort of become a typing reflex before certain words. I have sometimes read over posts where they make absolutely no sense in context. Consider it a ~quirk.

If you don't consider the arguments gameplay then I guess that's unfortunate for you. What I have to say is extremely relevant to this game and something I think is more likely to come from a wolfy Tom than not.

Rather then rely on your role how about you prove your town? You were asked for your top 3 scum reads. did you give it?  No. You just started insulting people. a lot of what you have posted in reply to people doesnt really say anything. they just come across as some diplomatic non committal i can twist this my way later word games.

Why wouldn't I want to convince people? Because isn't this hybrid hammer? Two voted can be enough to lynch someone. Id rather everyone make their own views and reads day 1. So when someone gets mislynced scum can't hide behind consensus and the triumvirate. Which has been happening a lot of dm. Lately.

What angle? I made my reads. I voted. I'm good for day 1. I don't like town alliances day 1. I think it's the stupiest thing possible. Scumbat gets to hide behind other people's reads. Tommy can have 100 posts of 90% fluff and its cool. If we lynch town there is no accountability for reads. "I was just following the alliance"
