Yates, you seem very hostile. Want to talk about it?

I just don't think putting another player on ignore is ever helpful to town.

Getting attacked for demanding logic. Fighting the good fight. All that.

Excited to see your catch up post.

Just got home from drinking/watching the game.

The plight of Cowboy fans has returned. Sigh.

Gonna read up now

I know, so bummed right now :/

yates, how much of tom have you read, and how heavily can i rely upon your read of him?

That's the whole point, he hasn't read him at all.

I can't say I have any strong scum leans at this point, but I am feeling all right about some people.

Leelou - I really liked her post about her being town because she's reading the thread. Because that was exactly what was bugging me about her last game - she didn't post a lot and claimed it was because she was busy, and while that was probably true, it was the content of her posts that bugged me; they didn't seem to add much to the game. While there hasn't been much from her in this game yet, I can already tell a different in the tone of her posts, she seems more into the game, in general.

Tommy - I'm - tentatively - null to town on Tommy atm. I saw a couple of people said they were scumreading him because he's all over the place and strongarming, but I'm leaning townish on him because of that. I've played with him twice - the first time he was villager and was more aggressive about pushing at people. While I can't honestly claim to have ever really scumread him in the Firefly game, I did feel a bit wary about him from time to time because he seemed to be sort of sitting back more and just gently prodding people here and there. So I'm kind of associating that more mild behavior with him as scum.

I also didn't feel there was anything wolfy about Verb's poking at Thane at the start of game. I think he was just trying to get things going and get active at the start of the game, since he got so far behind in the last game.

Hallia looking much better to me than usual, though I will admit I'm wary about scumreading her after Firefly game. But she's talking sense mostly. One thing though - Hallia, you agreed with something dice said about a post from AJ looking forced (I thought I'd marked the post number but can't find it now). Care to elaborate on that? Or dice, if you're around? It seemed like a very neutral post to me. (I'll see if I can find the actual post.)

Why Arsis?

Any group of people joke back and forth like that D1

Or did you have a better reason?

It's obvious? Manbat is in his scum meta.

Tommy isn't actually playing and actively trying to push people's buttons/be emotionally manipulative.

Cory is just scum. His opening was terrible. He's pushing nonsense. Read him. He's bad.

I haven't played with manbat before, and haven't really seen anything from him so far to lean either way. What is his scum meta, to you? And can you elaborate more on why you feel Cory is scum? I haven't played much with him either.

Hoping to see more from Despo. I kind of didn't like his post about how people would lynch him for his OP about slanking. IDK, he just seemed kind of doom-and-gloom.

FYI, Yates, I don't really see manbat or Tommy as being illogical, I just think they're meta-reading each other as town right now. That's what I got.

Hi aj

You a villager?

What does your gut say?

yes

This post makes my gut say No.

I see what dice means.

That AJ response seems a touch forced

Not enough for me to vote him, but enough to note.

These are the posts I was talking about re: Hallia and dice on AJ, btw.

yates, how much of tom have you read, and how heavily can i rely upon your read of him?

All of it.  I think I have a pretty good feel on this read.  I had him last game - which was only the 2nd time reading him with the tweaked "how to read Tom" notes.  So small sample size.

You're better off trusting my reads on Des and AJ and probably Verb.  I think a little help on the Tom reads is still required.

For example; I don't know if Tom leaving the thread when the spotlight is on him like this is more likely a Town tell or scum tell.  Universally?  I'd consider it a scum tell.

Hey folks.

Catching up, getting a grip etc.

maybe i read too much into the intro, but it seems that the female character is plotting revenge. Therefore 1 player leading scumteam, female player more likely.

Or, my meds are messing with me and i see ghosts

What? Why the hell would the flavour indicate a person of any gender would receive any particular role? This is implying that @Mod didn't randomize roles across the entire playerbase, you do realize? Also the Verabl buddying is a little obvious.

The down side of being Leelou's hydra partner is that now I can't follow up on my policy lynch promise.

The plus side of being Leelou's hydra partner is that now I can follow up on my Cory AND Hally policy lynch promises with a single vote!

[v]HalCore[/v]

Huzzah!

Sorry for rustles, will be on best behavior

This pinged. Both, actually. @Yates for policy talk which is gross, @cory for promising to lay low?

nver read the book, perhaps should have. Thanks Yates, there goes my theory.....

Wow so yeah, you thought mod roled a female character to a female player?

Really?

I'm going to pretend Verbal has town cred for coming out strong and "scumhunting" but I'm really suspicious of him jumping on something small so soon.

Also this. While Verb's push is genuine, it's seems just a little too strong for the evidence at hand. But I'm leaning toward that being excited by a potential scumread.

@Sili and @Tommy are null at the moment but being involved, which is a plus. Is Tommy normally this ...this?

@Desp entry - wow. Ok. Ping for you too. But later Desp proves to be Despish by most accounts so, egh.

@Cory - Heavy defense noted. But I always have trouble reading through emotion and tend to write it off as scum. But hydra halli makes me wonder especially given-

@Yates' cheering of Halli, which seems... friendly. I don't like friendly.

@manbat handing out town reads like candy. Forms a list. I didn't really question it until I realised very little of the reads had reasons. Hrmm.

~4 Wolves in

Pral
Alanna
Rags
Arsis
Yates
Key
Dice
Berf

So let's try to clear half this list and lunch from the rest

Shouldn't be too hard

This post is especially nonsense. 4 wolves in 3/4 of the game. Most of those people haven't posted yet. This is what you post ad scum to pretend scum hunt.

+1. Though it should be noted that I'm on this list, so my objection is probably implied.

It's not AtE when Yates literally will not speak to him.

Oh is he asking me stuff? I have him on ignore.

That's certainly one way to play the game where talking to people is kind of the point.

If he is your scumread, then you would want him to keep talking day 1 surely, in case something slips? either way, you've ruled out the possibility of him being town by refusing to engage, limiting your effectiveness for town.

Right so.

Townish on Verb, Tommy, sili, desp despite myself and maybe halli. p-edit and now Allana.

Scummish on Cory (But the halli play hrmm), Yates and Thane. The mod handing out roles like that is pretty damn unheard of. I'd vote Thane out of the two of them.

Nothing much else has stood out. Apart from the fact that this is on page 34 already jesus krak what have you gotten me into.

Yeah.  I agree with you on this.  But the EARLY portion of the clear is what irked me.  Because it seemed like it came without enough info.

The context you are missing is the VS game that just ended that everyone is talking about.  The scum tactic in that game was to hard clear each other with no explanation and since Tommy and Cory were two of the scum they just expected the Town to follow via inertia.  And it worked way too well.  So that set off a HUGE red flag for me.

In general I think tom is capable of the same things when wolf or village. The way I tell them apart is how frequent his scum tells are, and whether they're pointed or blunted.

Thane thinking Krak had intentionally roled a female player as a female character was definitely super weird, but I'm not sure I find it scummy. If it had come out of nowhere, but he seemed to be responding to Krak pointing out there could be clues or hints in the scenes he writes.
