Hi. I'm getting things sorted and have a bit of time. Turin is driving all over the country again and so is very haphazard with his postings also. Sorry.

 

We are Town. We are a nice cup of English Breakfast tea. It's been bastardised in one of those one cup machine thingies, because apparently just putting a tea bag in a mug is too much like hard work. Anyways tea is the drink of choice because coffee is too much.

 

And we are Town.

 

I'm sorry I've not been able to follow along as I had to unfollow incase I missed an important email. Turin may be going after Despot, but that's just what they do. Despot has been posting his random WoTs and quoting everything he can to back up what he thinks. He has conviction I think and isn't being the laid back concise poster I saw when he was last mafia.

 

So I feel it is to the benefit of the Town that I make this post, because I don't want folks to say he did this on purpose. I think he believes we are mafia. We aren't.

 

I would suggest that when our Towniness is confirmed you look at those who followed Despo. Did they make their own arguments or did they just follow on? Who felt it was the most reasonable argument?

 

I'm sorry but I can't remember all the new people's names and so the stuff they say is all jumbled. I honestly thought this was going to be a nice basic game with lots of people I knew. That would have been a lot nicer as my first game back in a while.

 

Things have calmed down a bit and I'll have a bit more time this evening. I'll be out most of tomorrow signing paperwork and stuff.

I'm mixed bag on Tommy.  He is engaging players, getting them talking, and more importantly *mostly getting them talking about salient points that would lead to gamesolve.  This is town!Tom.  On the flip side, he has some legit scummy posts like the meta mix up on SP and TSB and creepy things like the above ^^^ AJ joke.

 

To answer what I think you were asking, Tommy was mostly towntelling at game start.  It wasn't until midway through D1 that a bit of scumminess was showing through.

Yes, for two reasons.  A) Darthe is on the scum team and a game a bit ago Darthe claimed miller and survived to end game because he played pro-town.  So he knows a miller claim doesn't necessarily mean town needs to lynch there. 

And A goes with B) everyone is consensus town about us.  Scum will have to kill us at some point so using a poisoner to do it follows. 

Actually, 3 reasons, I just don't see a poisoner as 3rd party.  Esp not in a game about health.

Ive gotta be honest, I am in a bit over my head in this one. I think Tommy is town but without good reads on Des and Yates and all of the butting heads right now getting good reads from the top down is rough.

 

Apparently I didn't quote Darthe's "scum list" but it was terribad.  He legit took other people's lists, swapped a couple names and called them "Soulreads", gave garbage minimal reasoning on everyone, and then has been doing this ^^^^ since.  Darthe confscum.

The part in bold is something I keep trying to drive home. You guys [in general] are way too lax with what you allow to pass as reads and cases.

 

I would like to echo this sentiment wrt "reads" on me and on Tommy. Des is the only one doing any work to case me right now. I've even asked individuals [most recently Pral] to back up their read and haven't seen anything yet. I've also been asking people to back up their early reads on Tommy - because I happen to agree with TG that "mixed bag" is an apt description of his play - and Hally is the only one that half answered that, iirc.

 

I'm debating responding to Des's points - given my new read on him - or waiting to see if anyone echos one or two of his points so I know what to actually respond to.

2. Yates - Read the above.  Also sorta odd how you're presenting yourself to the group this game.  I associate you as scum with playing cleaner games so it's prob just paranoia.

Despothera - One of my personal tells for Desscum is that he waffles on my alignment instead of nailing it down but it isn't a great tell.  Still, enough to get him here instead of dark green where he should be.  I also have him as the most likely teammate for Dicescum but if that's the case then I surrender.

6. SickPuppets - Looks good, really had a good early game mindmeld but nothing of late is sticking out to me.

14. TheSlenderMan - Slendy and SP are a good deal above Krak in terms of read strength.  I think both could be light green, just am not sure.

1. Halligeddon [Hallia / csarmi] - Salami is off, Hally is trying to tug at the heartstrings of America, both look frazzled.  Could be sickness but I dislike a lot of what they are doing to this thread.

5. Arsis - Playing like scum on a leash imo.  Interested in seeing this lynch go through and if he is town that will really affect my reads, especially making some of the safer, cleaner players in this game more prominent.  I think Arsis will flip scum based on his tone, his approach to the thread and his interest in survival over all but either way this lynch is going to be critical IMO.

 

 

Greens are certain as I can be, which is to say don't ever lynch them.

Light Greens are people who would be greens if not for a few little things they said or my innate distrust of them because of known scum wizardry.  

Blues are people who I don't have much of a read on but still kinda think them town.

Orange is for muddled reads/inactives.  

Red is for deceit and betrayal.  Notably I don't think that Salami and Arsis can be scum together.  I am aware that my reads are flawed and that there is probable scum in my higher categories but both of them are starting off points for me.  Each subcategory is thus organized into least-most likely to be scum as well as the overall going from least-most likely.  

 

 

Am I the only one who finds this post to be a scum claim?  Seriously, just take the general town consensus, mix up a couple names for reasons like "Soulread" (e.g. Dice).  Put qualifying statements on almost ever slot (just am not sure, prob just paranoia, etc).

I like that muddled and inactives get the colour nearest to red. It's a nice way to justify following onto a Lynch of those people. 'Well I did have them as ORANGE' you can say.

 

Not because you thought them Mafia, but because you were muddled or they were inactive.

 

Here we see how to justify future lynches without having to make an effort. I believe you'll find it in the Little Boof of Darthe, chapter 2 'what do do if your survive Day 1'

That's probably the most believable part of his list, actually. He was specifically calling orange reads muddled/inactive. I wouldn't expect to see an inactive slot in the Town or Scum portions of the list so I'm a little confused by what you are trying to say here.
