Dude I don't even know.

 

My mind doesn't want to Mafia today.

 

I used to think that Dice being vocal and showing confidence was a town tell, but in the past few games (Avengers  & HHGG specifically) he did this as scum.

Maybe.  Or teamwork.  Dice is in my scum pile though.  Also, I don't remember Dice soft-claiming his characters in previous games like he claimed Hendrix here.

Why the heck is Tommy practically claiming after 8 pages? Pure arrogance because he thinks he is such a big threat that he will be NK n1 - crappy play - or scum thinking out a perfect fakeclaim?

 

 

ive seen AJ be mediator as both town and mafia so thats null for me.

 

Arsis im not liking. too non comittal and one of his recent posts i really didnt like.  will find

 

 

AJ sumary:

 

Strange going after Csarmi and Darthe. Gets cranky when Csarmi doesn't "play the game". FOS's Des but then goes on to protect/buddy. Votes (quite randomly?) Darthe. Tries to take the "town leader" role. Blantantly (and irritatingly) attacks Csarmi with the whole "get on my level" (pfft). Being very submissive when communicating with Tommy. 

 

I dunno. We're like 24 hours into the game and most people haven't said more than hullo. But from the pile, this is the thickest straw

Gun to my head, from the people who has been vocal tonight my gut says AJ is scum. Arsis, Des, Tommy and Csarmi is town. I have a bad feeling about Hallia, and I dunno what kind of role she would have that confirms Tommy, but I'll let it slide for now since I don't see why she would do that as scum. 

 

Why do you have Des and Tommy as town?

 

 

 

 

Too safe of a list imo Thane. What's your gutsiest read atm?

i know it's a safe list.... but like i said, early D1 lock clears or lock scums.... nah, people deserve a chance. Gutsiest read: saying you're town when quite some people in here think otherwise. Either you have me fooled and i'll pay the price for it later, or we'll try to work together this game and still win as town
That's not a very gutsy read- quite a few other people have me as town so far. Also looks like you could be buddying or soft-white knighting me.

Also kinda wish I hadn't deleted the other part of this post- Csarmi's post to Thane looked like it coulda been a scumnate coaching or interacting with a teammate on thread. Could def see Csarmi/Thane as scum/scum as well.

Hey, I'm being very clear here I'm reaching at straws here. None of these are very scummy pulled apart - but as a broad view of your play you were the one who stuck out.

Tommy, you might want to modify your approach a little - and I know you can be very flexible with that. You do come off a little too bossy. Which doesn't sell well here.

 

Let me tell you a story. I was playing in one of DPR's game. PM communications were possible and it was a night action galore. By D3, me and Yates (I think it was Yates) were mod confirmed townies (and close to unkillable). I tried my best to control flow of information correctly, collect all night actions for discrepancies (even had an excel sheet and macros to share relevant info and all). We did take some information on thread too, but yea we been doing what's best in the situation and lead. I'm pretty sure some people STILL hate me for my behavious in that game even though I was just playing my wincon to the optimum.

 

Yeah, I really disliked your librarian/archivist role that you had going on.  Mainly because I came back as scum 3 times.

 

Although the funny part was that the only time I was trying to get lynched I managed to not get lynched for a longer amount of time than when I wasn't trying to get lynched.  That was kinda fun as hell.

Things did get rather serious in here quickly. I'm not really complaining, not a big fan of the random vote stage anyway.

 

Regarding how clear the dialogue is between those involved, it remains to be seen. I won't assume anyone is anything at this point.

I'm trying not to get mad but I'm absolutely in the right in this argument and it's going to frustrate me if you won't admit that I'm right or will pretend you can't understand what I'm saying. What Des is epousing right now is pure nonsense and he reads exactly like shook scum to me. If he's town I've never seen him turtle this hard this fast; I'd expect him to fire back with bigger blows but instead he's throwing water balloons at me.

I was saying I agree with you but that I'm always super paranoid day 1. So, I'm not convinced of anything yet. You're pushing really hard for day 1 which always makes me weary. If des flips town it would look bad for you was my only point.

Okay first off- if any townies are misreading me as scum atm, there are two things I can think of for why my tone might have seemed different at the start- busy with room service, and haven't played mafia in a while and was excited to see a game start. My aggressiveness however, is not even close to a scumtell for me so if you found me scummy for that then you just don't know me very well.

I do agree with you that based on threadflow it's a bit late to have you as a big ??? mark. You've definitely been a polarizing figure.
We should fight and then kiss and make up every game Tommy. It's a nice ebb and flow. Plus the makeup sex is exhilarating.

I'm not gonna say you're clear town or anything but you're recovering in a way that makes sense to me so keep going.

tommy people miss things every mafia game.  putting it out there obviously doesnt always hurt. whats obvious to you may not be to someone else. it also shows drunk was paying at least some attention to the thread. considering the few games ive been in with him where he is barely there thats a huge improvement to my chances of getting an idea on him

 

im liking drunk atm  i can follow his thinking.

 

im leaning town on csarmi but its based on what ive seen of him when mafia together.it is defintetly a lean in progress.

 

i didnt mind vos' catch up but i cant make myself give him a lean. not sure why tbh.

I picked Dice over DT because while I know DT to make strange points and I may not like them, Dice defending it makes me feel like he's scum.

Krak, why are you bringing stuff up from page 3 before tommy claimed cop. Seems a bit irrelevant now.

 

At the time des wasn't looking as bad and tommy was uncharacteristically aggressive. It could have been tommy trying to get a quick lynch because he thought he would get lynched/viewed early.

 

 

That was my thinking at the time. Now, I believe tommy is the cop and des is most likely scum.

Honestly, I'd still have to take a hard look at tommy. He pushed really hard from the beginning, he's better than his silly cop claim day 1. In the Avengers game his tone was more playful. Here it's a bit more... I don't know the right word but it's just different more negative and standoffish.

 

What's your move if Des flips town?

Hey Vos, why (if still) do you find Des town?  Refer to post a few above.

 

As I said I'm a bit at loss, because I'm reading Des VS Tommy as a town town fight, but isolated Des is looking scummy. But gaining distance from the whole thing I'm starting to lean that the beforementioned spat was non-alignment-indicative and was just ego vs. ego and leaning scum on Des. 

 

If that was an awkward sentence: 

 

I thought he was town based on him VS tommy

now I think he is scum.

I've seen people be a lot worse than that, for the record, and no one got so upset.

 

I think its kinda cumalative. i think tommy p'd a lot of people off in avengers and some are still feeling it. i know im reacting more negatively to him and am a bit readier then normal to take offence to things he says. good thing is im aware of it so i can try to override it.
