Nothing in my role about symps or survivors or whatever. Not gonna worry about it.

But this means some characters alignments may not be 100% obvious.

Scum also definitely have fake claims given the ability to post role PMs.

Possibly some of the traditional avengers aren't in the game but are fake claims since I'm considered a hero in this game.

I think Mynd would put the 6 traditional movie avengers in this game for sure, but anything from the comics thats "traditional" may not be in this game.

K I think i'm going to Tommy.  For some reason, he knew that Galactus was in the game.  If he's not Galactus or on a team with Galactus, its possible that he knew Galactus existed from his role PM, but even with that, he could be some kind of symp like the Silver Sulfer that was trying to hint at it to Galactus.  He might have tried the too obvious thing again.  Along with an attitude that I mentioned earlier which didn't match his previous style.  After I mentioned that i had read some of his previous games, he had no comment to me, nothing like OK nevermind, or something like that.  I might have missed it, but I don't think so.

Also, I'm thinking I have a town lean on Nolder.  I was also thinking of the restriction of voting as a restriction to scumhunting, but pushed the though aside because some scumhunting is still possible.  See above.  I don't think that mafia would point something like that out, they have much more to gain off of these "meta tells" and supposed "catch-all" methods of scumhunting.

 

Red is my next scumread for the reasons others have pointed out.  Yes it does contain the meta tells that I so sarcastically pointed out before, but Red is one of those people with a very distinct playstyle, which creates a stronger meta read.  Tommy is also another player with a very distinct if not easily graspable or caught playstyle.

Tommy just pulled an "amateur" move in a ninja hammer in X's game and went the whole game saying he wasn't an amateur.  Not ruling that out.  Plus Silver Surfer used to roll with Galactus, and then moved away.  Seems like a role that could be either mafia or town depending on balance, so I'm not throwing it away.

 

I push meta tells on people with extremely distinct metas, like Tommy or Red.  People who's meta blends more into the game I don't like using meta on because its much harder.

 

I put him at #3 because I didn't have much else.  He wasn't a strong scum read, but he was scummy enough to put him above the nulls.  Why is putting him at #3 ridiculous to you?  I never said he was super scummy or anything like that.  The follow up question makes me think Wombat may be scum.

If you are a fan of the comic or the Avengers film franchise, then you will surely enjoy this game.  A few surprises too.  Maybe even some chimichangas!

The popcorn. Its already been stated before that I see popcorning seriously. And - no joke - EVERY SINGLE GAME I'VE BEEN IN, where someone mentions popcorn or makes a point out of sitting back enjoying a fight - that person has flipped scum. It's a scumtell for sure.

Tommy is probably town or 3rd party.  I definitely think he is one of Wanda or Quiksilver.  The only conniption I would have is whether they are town or not, since they are Magneto's children iirc.  However, the scene that was written makes them look more like third party.  So imo, save them for later even if they're not town, since they'll probably be 3rd party.  Mynd has been pretty sure on what characters his mafia are.

 

Red is probably town.  Lol, 2nd read I was probably wrong on, but Red would message more than just 2 people, her messaging style seems like legit town, etc etc.  I think I always want to lynch Red, so that may be part of my reasoning on her.

 

Tsuki is probably town.  Honest frustration, role hints seem good, and more on the line of posts above this.

Regarding my opinion on Key and Tress. I like both their play but the thing is I don't get much of a proper town read.

 

But one thing that is off but Tress abd this may seem dumb but I remember Tress being fairly inactive during Des game and saying that the game was too large. Here she seems fine but it's a much bigger game

Nolder - null. i dislike his attitude, but he had the same type of antagonistic attitude in the last game i played with him and flipped town, so null read on him for it. tbh the convo about "how to play" is more of a distraction than the fluff he was griping about.

 

what sticks out most is his vote, or rather lack of an unvote before using the code to re-vote Arsis. (if you go back and look, he voted Verb first using the code, after quoting the voting rule and then he didn't unvote) could be an intentional mis-vote tactic

 

 

Tommy - is still vibing town even after all of his antics. its a gut based read backed with meta reasons

I bet his strategy here is to make people think "it would be too obvious if he's scum" and ignore him - which was his plan from the beginning, if he really is scum. I'm not sure if he is Galactus or not though. If scum told each other roles on their QT, then he'd know Galactus was in the game, even if it wasn't him. Was thinking this a bit ago, and while I feel a bit dirty using this reasoning, here's my thinking:

 

Nolder and Hoof are both >rand to be town. It's pretty much impossible that they're both scum, so either they're both town or one is town and the other scum, however adding two roles after all others have been handed out, and one of them being scum, would tend to imbalance most games a bit in favor of the mafia team, just due to the normal ratio of scum to town. Easier to add two townies, one of them perhaps with a nerfed role or something, then the other way around. HAd there been three late additions, I would have considered it almost definite that one of them was scum.

 

Again, I feel kinda dirty using this logic, however meh Mynd invited it by having the late additions be possible. Don't think that would break his game anyways, even if he didn't intend for people to game him for that.

first off, anyone who thinks gaming the mod in a Mynd ran game is a good thing ... i'm just gonna sit back and laugh at their futile attempts while Mynd takes pleasure in WIFOMing their ideas with his lovely scenes.

his character is more of a 3rd party character if you go by his bio and Marvel canon. anti-town for sure, but even most villains in the Mavel universe would want to kill Galactus (even Thanos), so for you to make the assumption that he's scum and that the scum team would have known about Galactus, when Canon dictates otherwise ... this reeks of having TMI

I like Mynd´s scenes but since I don´t know most characters names they doesn´t give me any clues. Not sure if they are meant to or not.

Red - the way she went after X for lying about the pr and then continue to go after him even when that didn´t turn out to be true.

 

Nolder - I don´t know why he is having this attitude that everyone here sucks so it´s no idea to play until we have some deaths. Makes no sense as game play as either town or mafia, unless he is mafia and try to cover for someone that has been suspected. Eh, I don´t know about him but I´m keeping my eyes on him.

 

Tommy - well, as you have said, he has claimed a character that should be considered evil.

I didn't do it. I have a town read on Tsuki. She was there online actually trying to figure stuff out. Plus when she was online with me , I could follow the thought process. The only thing that I could see was what the others thought about popcorning. It looks like a bad post but I liked the rest of the posts.

 

And IMO, the rest of the her posts were not flailing. I liked that she asked for verification of the PM's because until they verified there was no measure of proof then.

As she passed by Uranus, she noticed a dark star in the distance, eclipsed by a great and powerful yet unseen force.  She circled around Uranus and began to head directly towards the star.  Two bright bulbs of energy focused on her, the size of moons.  She felt the eyes of the Planet Eater fix on her.

Suddenly, a light at the end of the transistor began to flash.  Nanoseconds before it detonated, Captain Marvel was able to envelop the device in a field of energy and absorb the blast.  It took nearly all her strength but she didn't care.  She had to get back to Earth. 

 

Galactus was, apparently, a red herring.

I'm in the same boat.  Joined too many games, trying to catch up in them all hurts my eyebawllllsss
