I don´t know that he is a survivor. Do you know that he is a survivor? He claims to be one. I have believed him to be mafia for days now. I´m just saying that if he happens to be what he claims then it´s not a bad lynch either. Survivor is third party, not town.

If you are a villager how many day phases do you think a town can go here without lynching Mafia and still have a chance?

 

I don't count towards villager parity, but I'm a pro-town vote and a lynch on me still gives the wolves a free NK

And I don't know why you think I'm taking things "super personally" - I am just responding in real time and saying what's on my mind. I'm not like yelling about this game or anything. I'm in pretty good spirits, some of my work stuff eeked into this game but it's not the first time that's happened to me.

 

I think I've responded to anything I considered a "legitimate point" against me. I really don't know what else to do. I think a lot of people don't really like how I play - I'm fine with that. I'm a firm believer that everyone is allowed to play their own way - I am an emotive player and I read people tonally, emotionally and through thought process. I'm better at finding villagers than wolves unless I know somebody really well.

 

Sorry that we're not "friends" but if me saying what's on my mind in rapid-fire in a Mafia game is too horrible for you then it's probably for the best.

Oh come on dude. You KNOW I don't have a problem with your playstyle, and I'm not upset because you didn't respond in WOT fashion to stuff. Additionally, I don't have a problem with people playing emotionally- I do as well.

 

My problem is you've taken things too far this game- threatening to leave the forum, withdrawing from my game, both of those are outside the game imo. As Clov put it before he died, you've broadcast the "I'm taking my ball and going home" attitude a TON this game.

 

THAT is what has made the game unenjoyable for me.

Point is, you're way to happy voting him even if he is a Survivor. You're already making it seem like that lynch would be fine for town, when it would actually HURT town if he was in fact third party. You're showing too strong a willingness to lynch Cory, especially considering you never really pushed at him that hard before.

Dessy I love you and I will always love you. I know YOU don't have a problem with my playstyle, but I know some people here do.

 

I didn't withdraw from your ABBA game because of this game, I did because I am currently in FIVE games and have a 50+ player mishmash that starts June 2nd AND I'm getting murdered at work and I think I've just completely totally overcommitted. Most of my "take the ball and go home" sarcasm was sarcastic (I have a fake reputation for doing that @ WF, as you saw in Blood Bowl, when I never really do).

 

If your game were going to start when time is more ample for me I would re-/in in a heartbeat.

 

I am probably going to take a step away from this forum for awhile at some point because I think it's for the best, but this was never personal, especially irt to you. I love the majority of the players here and I have enjoyed many games in the past but sometimes a break is in order.

Sorry if I frustrated you or caused you any demotivation, it was not my intent.

 

At least after all this I can be basically assured you are town :P

Fwiw, here's sorta where I'm at atm:

 

Verbal is my strongest town read, besides people that have claimed

 

Dice is def a Watcher, and if there's no Cop he's very likely town. Unfortunately targeting me still leaves WIFOM that he's scum, since scum might have thought I'd get Doc-protected or something.

 

Thane is either Vig or SK, either way we can't lynch today. He's played scummy to me, but eh w/e.

 

AJ looked town to me till I started reading you as scum. So eh not sure anymore either way.

 

BFG and Tina both look scummy to me. Both started the game strangely, both have looked opportunistic throughout the game. BFG was sniping at me for a while, and has been off her town meta for a while. Tina's reaction to me and Dice's claim was especially suspicious imo, looked like scum irritated that both town PR's cleared each other (scum loves leaving wifom about town PR's open). Could make much bigger cases on either of those two.

 

RTE, Lazy, and Vos are all conundrums. RTE could have hid behind the PR moar imo, his posts have looked like he was trying to get as many of his thoughts out as possible. So he looks >rand to be town. Lazy had a good OP.... and that's about it. Hasn't really offered enough gameplay posts to get a read off him. Very frustrated with him. Vos took a while to get going, and while I found myself agreeing with him somewhat, I'm also worried he's a deep wolf. Mish looked townie to me before she subbed out tho /shrug

 

I'm thinking Pray is town, moar of a gut feel on that tho. If you truly aren't scum his push against you could have been opportunistic however.

 

Keep in mind I never finished my reread last night, so yeah grain of salt and all that.

Had another long day at the Y, pretty burned out and I doubt I'll be able to really comb through the thread over the rest of the weekend except to stay current.

 

My feelings really haven't changed much. Dice watching Despo is plausible but it doesn't really shake my bad feelings about him. A few of the people he's pursued have been town but I guess a lot of us are guilty of that at this point.

 

I want to believe Cory's claim. I don't feel he's coming from a Mafia place with his casings but the behavior would fit for a 3rd party PM IMO.

 

I still have my reservations about Tina. I think her hammering Hallia reeked - the timing of it was premature IMO and up to that point she hadn't really done much but park her vote on Cory. I'm with does on the justification of wanting to lynch 3rd party at this point being more beneficial for mafia than town.

I still think BFG is a good bet for scum. I don't feel a ton of investigating coming from her part and I also feel like she's winding up to case me - I know I'm town so that's a strike against her.

 

As for the other two I would say it's between Pral/Vos/Dice/Lazy. I feel like I'm forgetting someone but whatever.

 

I think Verb is pretty townie - he'd be a stellar deep wolf otherwise.

 

Thane is pretty much vetted at this point and with a different 3rd party claim I highly doubt him being a SK.

 

So yeah - I think our best direction for today is lynching one of Tina/BFG and then going from there. BFG as scum will knock Pral from that group of 4 I mentioned and give me more reason to doubt Lazy since I think she started the Pral wagon right around the time he was getting pretty high in votes near EOD1

Also - as an aside - Cory & Des. I respect you both a lot but seriously, for the sake of the game, keep that stuff out of it. Take it to PM next time. It's pretty unfair to the rest of us to have to read through all that. I know this game takes it toll sometimes emotionally, but for the sake of the overall atmosphere please keep it in check.

The first point is true. I have been voting Cory since D1 because I have thought that he was mafia. I still do. The second part is not true. I´m not interested in getting a player gone. I´m interested in lynching mafia. If it happens that he is not mafia, I don´t mind that much because he has said that he is not town. Survivors will vote with whatever team he wants to to win. 

 

I was about to write that I don´t understand the resistance to lynch Cory this game, but actually it makes sence that the rest of the mafia works to keep him in the game. Here is why I think he is mafia:

 

1. His emo play seemed fake at first. Now I have to think that maybe he is genuine, how strange it may be. To me it looks like he has been pissed off that people want to vote him or mistrust him in a mafia game. lol He did his hardest to link to games where he has done this as town and Clov said he has done it as not town. And now he actually say that he isn´t town after all. 

 

2. He character claimed a character out of the blue. He says that he did it to draw a shot since he has a bpv. I don´t believe that at all. Why would a survivor do that? His goal is to survive, not to help town. 

 

3. He has gone back and forth about his importance to town. It has been a mix of telling us how stupid it would be for us to lynch him, to giving up and he even managed to self vote as well. Why would a survivor self vote? Des pointed this out as well but now he is suddenly voting me instead. Hm...

I'm gonna 'stand my ground' on this. Still feeling good about my vote, and agreeing with Tina here. Cory is a skilled player and I have no doubt he'd manage to turn the tide even with all this heat to turn Des and (thus?) everyone towards a Tina-mislynch. 

 

I'm feeling pretty positive about today though, because with our two competing trains (Cory and Tina) - I think whoever goes down will leave a ton of info. 

 

Also liking the fact that Des and Dice is out in the open. I'm assuming they are both town for now, but IF one of them is scum, I think they are cornered enough to not being able to wiggle out of giving their reads like they are.

 

So while the flips so far is pretty grim, I think we're pretty well positioned to clear this game!

1. Seemed fake to who? I did my very best to play a pro-town game and was considerably open with my reads. I guess there might have been a bit of pinprick edge to being third-party and having people fight you on everything despite you legitimately attempting to assist town, but Verbal was the only one who implied things might be "fake" and anybody who has seriously played with me knows how ludicrously far-fetched it is. As for me debating Clov on meta by bringing up games in counter to the ones he brought up, why wouldn't I counter that argument? Clov says "here are some games you got angry as non-town" - I replied with some games I got angry as town. That's the only way to logically combat that argument.

 

2. I am well known for playing a considerably pro-town game as third party. Honestly? My original idea was to coast this game by drawing a shot and then claiming bulletproof. Would foster a great deal of towncred and allow me to slank a little, which is nice considering my work schedule and the fact that I don't have hours and hours to pore over the thread as I usually do.

 

3. My importance to town has already been stated: I am not Mafia. If you lynch me, you will very likely be in LyLo with four living Mafia members. Town almost never wins in that situation, so yes, lynching me would be a huge drop in town's % of winning this game.

 

You implying Des could be Mafia here is ludicrous. There is a 0% chance Des is Mafia. He's lock clear. Our argument escalated to a level he would not have pursued if he were Mafia and that's final.

 

The only other people voting you are Dice and AJ - if you are saying the Mafia are trying to preserve me (they aren't, as far as I can tell) and I am beginning to take that personally, so I'm hoping this is the turning point in the Mafia QT where they realized they barked up the wrong tree and messed with the wrong emowhiner.

Vos, there is a very, very good chance that Tina is Mafia. You would do very well to have an explanation for this after she flips, if she flips.
