Thane - seemed too chipper or Des - jumped right in and declared someone won the thread already. It's a bit hard to say for sure though, because a few people either seem to be having too much fun with the theme or have a post restriction. 

 

 

Don't like this however. It seems like extremely thin reasons for wanting to shoot someone. And leaving herself an out to go after basically anyone who's mentioned the theme.

Tina loves Marvin, so I wouldn't put it past her to just be having some fun. If it continues for much longer, than I'd assume post restriction. I'd also look at Mish for a post restriction.

I actually don't like people saying I'm townish this early in the game. Makes me feel like they are scum. Are you scum, Cory?

I fully understand that you both are going to pass this off as joking/messing around since it's early on D1, but I really hate posts like this.  It's like the post Nyn and Cory highlighted earlier by Thane where he refused to say he was town (and referenced Lenlo's scumclaim in Real Genius as a similar example).  "Would I telegraph something like this if I were scum?"

 

Far too often scum makes a "joke" post like this, and then everybody is shocked when it comes true.  Best case scenario, you give scum a target for a kill that they can try to blame on somebody else.

 

 

It's far too early in a game for me to get serious, I like to play around some and get cranky when it gets serious too fast.

Some other comments:

 

Someone mentioned public enemy which made me nostalgic.

 

I´m the opposite of Cory and Verb. My logic and gut feeling are always arguing and I usually pick the wrong side. But be sure, if I ask you to kill Verb then I´m the cop. 

 

 

Cory is playing like I have seen him in the last games and he has been town in all of them. 

 

AJ tried to get the game started which gives him townie points.

 

Des case on Leelou - I´m not sure. This is what I would expect from Leelou but he has two good points. 1. Wanting to be town on Cory´s list while not wanting to be called town this early. 2. You could interpret her comment on Des that she knows he is town.

I started to get bad vibes from him, he cleared me into a town lean too early when I wasn't really doing much. The asking for blue was to see what he would say. He also never answered if he was scum, just turned it on me saying it's a sad way to play.

But then she wasn´t satisfied with Leelou´s answer. What kind of answer would have satisfied you that early? As you say, Clov might have done it to start the game, which implies that there were not much going on before that. She also seem to think Leelou singled her out when she seemed to try to add her to potential pr´s (me and BFG).

Tina being willing to draw potentially negative attention to herself early is her biggest towntell imo, she's another player I think I can read very well. I misread her in.... Mass Effect? and took a little more time to look over her games awhile ago and I think I understand the way she thinks pretty well

Where has Leelou seemed interested in figuring things out? She's mostly been fluffing, talking about potential post restrictions, and saying people shouldn't be seriously scumhunting (or townhunting) yet.

 

I'm also not sure where Tina drew negative attention to herself, unless you mean by quoting the books, but then I don't see how that would count as "inviting negative attention" to yourself.

 

The manner, especially the speed, with which you "cleared" Leelou and Tina this game has me slightly worried bout you Cory. You also seem to not see me as town yet, which is troubling in itself.

Yeah, we are not seeing the game the same way, which is bad news bear tilting.

 

Leelou 360'd into orbit not long after my post, but her mix of waffling-on-being-townread to total paranoia and then agitation is generally more indicative of her being a villager. Don't love the votes on her.

 

As for the bold... The last game we were both villagers I hardcleared three players in like... 50 posts. Correctly, I might add. This worries me more - this is pretty much how I play and I don't believe you actually believe this is different for me. After 16 pages I had two strong villagers and three town leans - noting too that Leelou was/has never been on my blue list.

I need to reread at some point but did you discuss RTE's OP at all? I saw it and it immediately came to mind as something you would go full bore at but I don't remember seeing you say anything about it. I believe AJ talked about it. One of those things that should be discussed

 

Thane was strange early but I don't think it was alignment indicative and mostly he's felt super loose. Off the D1 table imo

 

I do agree with the overall notion that Hallia has been off. I would like to see more from her 

 

If you want me to be 1000000% transparent, my earlier bad feelings on you were mostly because of your Clov vote. Why? In the last game we were villagers I said my perception of your scum meta is that you are as standardly aggressive but you go after consensus targets and weaker players instead - I thought you coming @ Clov with almost no conviction was a possible attempt to rock my meta by shooting at a strong player. I also agree I have liked Clov better recently (with that said, he's one of the people I take a very long time reading to clear - gun to my head I would say he's town but I'm not ready to put him in my green list ATM) and you do have some conviction behind your Leelou push even if I would guess you are trying to lead a lynch on a villager. But you also seem to lack the enthusiasm that is a big part of what I recognize in your town game.

 

I won't advocate your lynch any time soon (cause and cause I don't really know exactly how to feel about you so far this game) but you are firmly within my POE until you get out of it
