We have started Standardized Testing in our high school (and my room is one of the testing rooms so I get to be kicked in and out of my room, as well as proctoring, for the next month)....aaaand we have only four weeks left before the SHOW goes up! (Our first school play in umm....longer than anyone here REALLY remembers?). So yeah...chaos! Oh, and we have our big end-of-year Cub Scout thing this month too (helping run that).

I think my balloon hand needs help, but a lot of this is 'job' related.... so hrmm....

The shows? We had a blast, and will go again in a year or so, to go through the drive-through cave, to the Silver Dollar City park, see some museums, that kind of stuff.  They have LOTS to do there!

They have LOADS of different types of shows.

We went to a Magic Show called The Unbelieveables that was amazing.  The Magician was VERY good, and all but one of the acts that were with him (to intersperse his shows and give stage prop change time and allow him to change his clothes) were great too!  There was a ventriloquist that THOUGHT she was funny poking fun at women getting old, but it didn't get very many laughs, in fact i was heartened in the fact that so few points were funny to most of the audience and not just me.  She was a good ventriloquist though.  Oh, Oh, my personal favorite of the accompanying acts was an impersonator, he was impersonating people all over the place, singing their songs, it was great!  Among the ones he impersonated were Ricky Martin and Elvis, just to name a few.

We also saw a show called The Amazing Pet Show and they had dogs, cats, and birds doing tricks, so it was loads of fun for the kids to see.  Fun fact, ALL of the dogs they use in their show are shelter dogs, picked out because of their friendly personality, and then trained to do the tricks.  They said it takes 2 months for them to teach the dogs one small part of their show, which was cool to learn.  One part they had two dogs on their hind legs dancing with each other.

But there are LOTS of other shows to do and see, many musical in nature, and some free to go to, others you have to pay anywhere from 20-40 dollars.  The two i mentioned were easily 2-2.5 hours, for 40 bucks.  A bit high for tickets, but for the time they are performing, a decent deal as well.

Reki, I didn't know the entertainment there was so extensive! Sounds like lots of fun!
