Official Vote Count

Leelou (4): Jack, Mish, Verbal, Vos
Alanna (2): Leelou

Not Voting (7): Hallia, Alanna

The "not voting" group is the same as those who have not voted yet today

With 7 alive, it takes 4 to hammer if all other votes have been cast. To "Hyperlynch" you must gather N-1 votes on someone, where N=the number of players surviving. So today that number would be 6.

Day 4 deadline

Sorry.

Wake me up when the non-voters place their votes.

zzzzzzzzzzzz

Actually, I'd like to know if either of them think Leelou should not be the lynch today.  If not, who.

I don't have much in the way of a better idea.  It's hard with no flips >.<

Also this is at early o'clock in the morning time for me.  Vos makes some good points, though.

Alanna or Hallia would be viable lynch candidates, Alanna first.

Sorry, I just woke up.

I can vote Leelou. I feel about as good with voting her as anyone else. It seemed a little odd to me the way she's been playing, just hanging back a lot, but I was concerned that maybe she was just playing that way because of the way the game is, without getting any flips or info.

I have to say, I'm getting more frustrated over no flips more than I thought I would. It's starting to take the fun out of the game for me a bit. I don't like playing blind like this.

Day 4 deadline

Leelou has been lynched. She has taken Alanna to the grave with her.

Dammit, this one is on me.  I misread Leelou.  I think it was partially due to the blind nature of this game and the activity recently.  Alanna was right.  As I had a town read on her, I'm assuming she was town as well.

As meaning as it's currently night there's obviously at least one witch left. On the off chance wombat wasn't a witch there could BR 2 left. I highly doubt it but it is a distinct possibility. If that's the case and we had 2 witches left I believe honestly Alanna would have been one of them. That last vote was righteously scummy. That being said I'm very suspect of Hallia now. I'm curious about her post count. Ill be on mobile so I can't check but her heavy lurking is about the most scummy thing ATM.

Since coming back I've been much more active. Early on was a known absence. I'm quite satisfied with my gameplay

You're still low poster next to Alanna, though. Even a little fluff can help identify your thoughts.....and even include scum slips sometimes.

Once day starts and Easter weekend is over, I'm kickstarting this game.

Okay I'm sorry to do this, especially since I've slacked so much on scenes in general this game, but it's a busy night, and I still have several games to catch up on.

Hallia has been killed.

The Witches have won!

Roles:

Lily-Ithillian, town Cop sorta
Wombat-Turin, knows who is Ithillian in the game
Hallia-Verbal, if it goes to No Lynch she will determine the day's lynch/kill
Lenlo-Wombat, gets Vig ability after two straight mislynches
Mish-Csarmi, town's other investigative role. If anyone else targets his target at night, he finds out how many witches were left at the start of night
Pray-Mish, sort of the town Bodyguard. Finds out who the witches are killing, and may sacrifice himself to save that person if they want
Dice-Dap, kind of a Gladiator type role. Can throw out all votes and kill himself along with another instead of the lynch
Alanna-Despot, if alive at night with 4 players left in the game she will find out who the remaining witches are
Leelou-Darthe, sort of like a town Vengeance Killer
Verbal-Lily, is able to "Banter" with players, kind of a weak investigative role

Vos-Cloud, finds out who Ithillian and Csarmi visit each night, but not who visited who
Dawn-Hallia, finds out who Angels try to protect each night
Jack-Lenlo, kind of like a Role Cop for whoever the witches kill

(the role descriptions were just to help Csarmi remember which one did which)

There's not a distinct set of Night Action resolutions for each night, and I'm not releasing the mod QT, so if you have any questions about who did what which night just ask away.

Post game thoughts:

First of all, I def came up in queue faster than I thought but didn't want to have my name go to the bottom of the list, so I thought running this open setup would be fairly easy to mod. It sure wasn't. The combination of me being busy as well as not having 100% surefire grip on all the ins and outs of the setup definitely made it difficult. I'd just like to thank Csarmi tremendously for offering to help me mod, as it is there were still a couple of minor flubs but on my own it would have been a veritable disaster. I still greatly enjoyed the experience, and honestly hope this setup can be run more times, either by me or by other mods who wanna give it a whirl.

As for the way things panned out, I think town's best chance of winning was one of two things: 1. Don't discuss the setup at all, and just scumhunt as normal and let NA's and abilities bring info as they come out or 2. Discuss the setup intricately to make sure everyone is on the same page. Instead, town did 3. Discuss one tiny part of the setup way too much (the Cosvote) and ignore all scumhunting for the first day, and then never get on the same page setup-wise after that.

Another huge thing was that soooo many people assumed Wombat was scum after Dice shot him. Scum def helped further this concept on a bit, but it was mostly townies that led the charge on that. It's kind of funny too, cause in most other circumstances every townie did a good job of not relying on associative tells (since it's a no coroner game), but a number of people assumed Wombat was scum without anything really indicating that, and then made a lot of other assumptions based on that.

Speaking of no coroners, I understand this makes things a bit more difficult, so I sympathize with those who were lamenting that, however I will say this is a bit different from other non-coroner games. There are actually numerous ways and possibilities of clearing someone's role or alignment up after they're dead (especially the Csarmi role, which survived till the end), so it wasn't really like everything was going to be shrouded in secrecy the whole game.

Let's see what else...

Eh I won't go into some of the individual plays. I disagreed with some of them (not just town, I also thought going for a Soupkill on N1 was crazy and they went about it in a weird way- I would have Souped Pray first to see if he was the Turin role to know whether or not I was right about the Ithillian role. This way if you're wrong, you won't get revealed on thread. Obv this would have let the Cop stay alive longer, but still I think the scum team kinda got lucky that Lily actually was the Cop) but my main thought is that this is a very unique and unorthodox setup, so since no one playing really had any experience at it, town was at a pretty substantial disadvantage this game. Again, I would love to see this setup ran again (in fact I'm playing this exact setup on VS atm) either by myself or other mods, to see how things play out differently next time. I truly think it is an excellent setup, and altho there are still slight wrinkles with how some roles interact, overall I think it would be extremely difficult to create an open setup that was also role madness (everyone has a role, no vanillas) that is as balanced as this one.

Thank you everyone for playing, I hope you enjoyed it, and thank you again to Csarmi, without whom I prob would have ended up screwing up majorly lol.

Although I was one of those who got really frustrated with it at one point, I would actually love to play this setup again, now having a better understanding of how you can go about clearing people without coroner reports, in this particular setup. The cool thing about this game is that it got me thinking a lot about how I scumhunt. Really, I'm a gut instinct person, and the problem with that is that you can't just say, well, my gut instinct is that so-and-so is scum, and you should all just believe me. So I think at some point, in my mafia - career, shall we say :P - I started relying a lot on looking at lynches and interactions based on information from coroner reports.

The thing about gut feelings, though, is that they don't just come from nowhere. If you have a gut feeling about someone being scummy, it's probably because of something they said or did at some point in the thread. So I'm interested now in trying to do that more, instead of relying so much on coroner reports, in order to scumhunt. As I type this, I feel like it's sort of a really obvious thing (lol) that I'm sure a lot of people do already, and I know I do it to some degree even now, but it's a muscle I'd like to learn to stretch a little more.
