I'm on my mobile in SC right now, I've pretty much caught up. You don't have to worry about Verbal not being in the game any more

lolwut

You mean that you'll be available to vote today, and that means people shouldn't game availability of players (like Des asked folks not to), right?

Not sure what to make of the Wombat vs. Jack from this weekend.  Looks like a Wombat/Mish vs. Jack/Pralaya now.

Weird that Mish said Wombat was likely one of the scum (33% chance based on it being myself, Wombat, or Jack).....and now is pretty much siding with him.

Seems like Pralaya's response was pretty accurate re: the above.

does the verbal role have x amount of hours to put in an action or are we talking minutes?

no not quite nervo. it will tell us one or two things. it might be worth doing for those facts

No lynch is a bad idea right now. We know hally is not going be on, as she is probably still in J Con. If she is verbal, not only will a random person die but it will also potentially reveal her role. Giving scum all the advantage. Better we go for a normal lynch today

These are extremely anti-town things to say btw.  The scum read the game thread as well as the town, people.  Stop giving them freebies.

I'm not against Pralaya nor am I "with" Mish.  Why are you trying to pit Mish and me against Pralaya?

vote no lynch

Your vote would be more useful on Jack atm.  Leelou has 2 votes, so when she switched and then I followed, it put Jack at 4 and NL at 2.

FYI, my case on Jack is contained in posts 567 and 568.  Given the play you seem to have made, Pralaya, I would like your comments on the analysis I offered there.

I did read your case on Jack and Verbal and I don't find them to be convincing.

You cover two main points in those two posts

1. Jack's whole cosvote conversation

2. Reactions to my meta read of Lily

First, I don't see a deliberate attempt to fish roles by Jack during Day 1. His whole cosvote angle seemed to be a townie being wary of his vote and waiting till we get some reads from others. His going after Lily looks like him attempting to scumhunt rather than fish roles.

For the second part, it all looks like a natural reaction from those who disagreed with my opinion on Lily. Nobody went hard on and everyone slightly mentioned it during the conversation.

A few points about this post:

1.  I don't have a case on Verbal.  I merely pointed out a couple of things that he said.  If you'd read my posts carefully, you would have understood that I actually think Verbal came off more as town trying to get his bearings than as scummy.

2.  If Jack was so wary of giving the cosvote out, why was he the first person to bring it up and the main instigator of cosvote discussion?  Furthermore, if he was trying to get reads on others, why did he imply that adequate reads could not be determined on D1?

3.  If the whole point of you buddying Lily was to lure scum into trying to soupkill her, then why are you ignoring the on-thread reactions to said buddying?  It makes no sense.  Also, Jack's reaction to your read on Lily is almost certainly not natural for Jack.  Jack knows Lily very well and is not known for holding back as town.  So why did he try to subtly discredit your read on Lily instead of blasting it out of the water?  Jack claims that it was because others had already explained it, but that does not fit with his posts about your read which appear designed to subtly nudge arguments against you rather than openly agree with them.

FYI I think I might have made a mistake before when reading the Verbal role, or got it mixed up with another or something.

Technically nothing in the role says or implies that it is a one time use ability. So if the Verbal is still around, technically it looks like it can activate it's ability more than once.

This is kind of a big detail dude.

Blech. After consulting with my comod, it does seem like that was somewhat of a significant change not long before the deadline. Gonna extend it a bit.

Also, for the record I'd really not wish for any players to game the setup as far as timing of events and stuff. The deadlines have already had to be flexible because of my own schedule, and obviously the nature of some of the roles requires them to potentially be available at certain times. I'd really not rather have anybody confirmed or disconfirmed because of time zone speculation as I find this to be outside the spirit of the game.

Thanks for yalls understanding and patience with this btw, this setup is still somewhat new and probably in need of refining as far as actual wording and stuff.

Alright, so now one of my main points in favor of No Lynching is completely gone, I am willing to switch to a Jack lynch.  I'd still prefer to No Lynch due to the Last Gasp mechanic and the high probability of Verbal being alive, but I understand if others would prefer to lynch if they believe it will keep info from the scum.  I'm not going to risk derailing the No Lynch train when I've got a wagon on myself though.

unvote, vote Jack

This is the sequence that led to my switch.  I think it's pretty self-explanatory.

Mish you forgot me. :(

An I the only one who suspects Pral over pushing Lily's towniness as maybe a witch hoping for town cred. The whole situation stinks.

Can someone please explain to me why Leelou is getting so many cosvotes?

I can vote

Lily

Pral

Verb

Lenlo

All for previous stated interplay. Not sure for to feel about Verb and Leelou banter. Will have to read it again. First pass it read like they were bored and it seemed pretty organic.

But he's pushing the angle that she's obvTown With his views on her meta. It's way to early to effectively meta to the point of certainty as he's projecting he's done. I don't like it.

Seriously, this is not typical town Jack play.  When Jack wants to make a point when he's town, he makes it; he doesn't circle around it hoping that someone else will pick it up and run with it.

Reasoning for changing Leelou?

I would rather a controlled lynch on someone I'm finding scummy than the witches have confirmation of the Verbal role still being in play. Less knowledge for their soup.

1. I was referring to your post where you were ISOing him on his response to me buddying Lily

2. How is starting a cosvote discussion scummy? If Jack was trying to rolefish, he would have done something more than just start a discussion. I do not see evidence of him trying to rolefish even later in the day.

3. As I said, my read of Lily was genuine. If I was lying about my read, then I would be interested in seeing the reactions from people. I buddied Lily, true but the reason I chose Lily was because I had a good town read on her. I did not expect nor look out for people trying to bash me, it was purely to confuse the scum. As a matter of fact, nobody ended up "blasting me". That you are trying to even bring this up sounds very desperate  of you.

Others, do read what I said. I have listed a lot of interactions and actions which clearly shows who the scum is. There will be no town roles revealed and that is a huge disadvantage for town. We have to rely on traditional scumhunting and a lot of twists, inconsistencies in both Wombat and Mish's actions point us there.

Not trying to pit anybody against anybody - I'm just telling you the impression I got in reading that exchange.  I'm not casing or anything - just pointing out something I saw (or think I saw).

Disagree.  Early game, with this many people alive, the Verbal role being in play doesn't really narrow much down for scum....other than obviously them knowing it still lives.  I actually think that NOW is the time to let the "me" role kill.

I don't really enjoy putting the kills into the hands of somebody that I don't know, but at least I'll know it comes from a townie.  I'm ok with a vig firing into the crowd vs the potential that the witches are leading the town right now.....

Still very on the fence here.

First of all because the majority of the player pool is town as well. We don't know who is the Verbal and he/she might be just as led by mafia as the town majority.

With brings me to the fact that The Verbal is being pretty led already by Wombat who have already "decided" what he/she should do.

Nope.  The Verbal role will decide the shot.  Scum could be leading the town and setting up the lynch options - the Verbal role can shoot whoever they want.  Yes, they might be influenced by people on thread, but their options are the entire pool of players.  Lynch options late in a phase are really only the leading trains.  This opens the field up.

Are you going to tunnel me all game, btw?  I'm cool with it - it'll be like having a rash that won't go away.

Posted

I've had a super busy weekend but obviously think the train on me is bs.

All based on me talking about the CosVote to kickstarts the game and use it to scum hunt based on scum wanting the role and me not vociferously blasting pral's meta of lily? It's laughable.

Like others have said I find it highly telling that Mish was casting heavy suspicion on wombat, verb and myself and then basically is following one discounting the other and pushing at me. It's like she set up the whole thing. It's like she was waiting on the first train with any traction.

I also got FoS'd for voting an outed witch that'd also pretty sleazy and a shoddy addition to this trumped up case.

You talking to me? Weird accusing me of tunneling you when you are not my top scum pick, nor my vote, and I am so far the only one who has given a broad range of reads. We are having a discussion about letting The Verbal kill or a town-driven lynch. Is that tunneling?

Or are you feeling tunneled because your name pops up so often?
