The final coach pulled up to the mansion, stopping behind the line of black coaches parked in the circular driveway in front of the entrance. The doors on all the vehicles opened simultaneously, and the lights around the entrance fluttered a bit, seemingly coaxing the guests out of their vehicles. They were all shrouded figures, thirteen of them to be precise, and slowly but surely they made their way into the elegant home.

As they moved past a pair of intimidating columns close to the doorway, each one felt a sudden shudder inside that felt like an impossibly thin sheet of silk settling over all of their body. One of the figures stopped in the middle of the slow cautious procession and looked at a mirror on a wall, and was shocked to see the face of someone else staring back at them. They quickly tried to mute their reaction however, and hurried to catch up to the others.

They all gathered at the end of the foyer, in front of a grand double staircase with an oddly designed balustrade. It seemed to shift right in front of their eyes, half seen forms slipping away into shadows right before their eyes. A voice behind them startled them all, and they turned around to see a figure slowly walking in from outside, the doors slowly closing behind him on their own. He spoke with a thick Hungarian accent, and tho the guests had come from wide ranging parts of the world, they found that they could surprisingly understand every word he spoke.

"I thank you for answering the summons that were sent to each of you. I trust you followed suit and spoke to no one of this event before you arrived, I know that our host would not be pleased to find out that any accord was broken before you arrived. I'm sure you are all curious as to why you have been gathered here, so without further ado I introduce your host for the proceedings, Despothera."

Everyone looked back towards the balustrade to see that a shadowed figure was already walking towards them down the staircase. The forms along the bannister seemed to shift with him, causing unease in all whose eyes followed him.

"I brought you all here because you all share a certain trait, a trait I value highly in my organization. Everyone I employ must always be looking to get ahead, and always be on the lookout for those that would try and infiltrate my empire to undo it from within. I do not employ robots under my service, everyone that works for me must have a mind of their own, a mind sharp enough to keep the secrets of my company safe," Despothera said cryptically. He scanned the crowd and watched for brief flickers that might cross anyone's face and betray them. He smiled when he saw none, knowing that the spies sent to infiltrate his organization had become better and better trained in order to try and get past his defenses.

"As such I am now giving you all the opportunity to prove yourselves. I know there are those of you who have come to undo the years of work I have put into my legacy, those whose masters would seek to wrestle power away from me to fight for amongst themselves. I could use the assistance of some of my more powerful enchantments to find out who for myself, but alas this would rob me of the chance to gain some highly skilled employees. So I leave this task to you. You thirteen will look amongst yourselves for the ones who have come here with ill intent. You will show not only your level of awareness in being able to find them, but also your ambition and loyalty you plan to serve me with by disposing them for me. This will not be an easy undertaking, as the fiends that have been sent to me have grown stronger and stronger, and better equipped to deal with some of the enchantments and defenses I have set up. Some of you will not survive, but then, you knew this before you came."

"Your appearance will not be familiar to you, but this is a necessary piece of the puzzle in front of you. There will be many other wrinkles in the road ahead, but as you encounter them those with the clearest resolve will be able to use them to your advantage. Those that are not able to take steps to ensure you are always one step ahead of your enemy... will not find this so easy of a task. At the end of this event if you prove yourself worthy, you shall be rewarded immensely. For now I will ask you to step forth into the banquet hall ahead of you to the left, where you may begin to settle in and get comfortable with your surrounds as well as begin to introduce yourself to the others. My staff shall attend to any needs of yours, and until I see you next I shall bid you adieu."

With that the shadowed figure walked back up the staircase, and his form seemed to grow more incorporeal with every step. When he got to the top, his form fell apart completely, leaving everyone to realize they had been listening to a hologram this entire time. The door to the banquet hall opened in front of them, and silently and warily they all moved forward to proceed with this strange undertaking.

The three witches who had arrived with the others kept their countenance still as they moved forward with the others, but behind each of their eyes waves of mirth, rage, and caution flowed back and forth in their minds. They would destroy this group from within, and then use the tricks they came with to bring forth Despothera's secrets to their masters. Nothing said they couldn't have some fun doing so, however.

Setup

Town:

Town wins when all witches are dead

Ithillian: Each night you check someone to see if they're trying to kill you. And others. You guess. A failure to submit a check will be randomized and you may not check yourself. Your investigations are 100% accurate, and will only return Innocent or Guilty.

Turin: Due to knowing Ithillian's playstyle so well, you know when they are town. As such you are also informed of who IS Ithillian this game. As they are town. They do not have the same trust of you, breaking your heart.

Verbal: Being that everyone else is too busy getting up to shenanigans, actually getting something done comes down to you. If ever a day should end in a no lynch, you will select a player to kill.

WWWWWWWWombat: For some reason, you will find it quite disconcerting if two townies are mislynched consecutively. So disconcerting that you will take it upon yourself to kill a suspected offender. (the kill is resolved at night)

Csarmi: Each night, you may do sciencey things. These sciencey things include selecting one person each night. If someone else were to visit them at all that night - ranging from pies to angel protects to coven kills to campbells - you will be so extra pleased with yourself that you will learn how many witches remain alive at the start of that night.

Misheru: At the end of the night, you'll be told who will be killed by the normal Night Kill. If you so choose to, you may use the god-like powers of the Aspect of 'Life' and take the bullet for the victim-to-be. A Mish save will be obvious.

Dapianoplay3r: Doing what you want, you at any time during the day throw out all the lynch votes and decide the lynch by yourself, killing yourself and your target. You'll also learn your targets role just to rub a little extra salt in the wound if you get it WRONG. An Dapianoplay3r activation will be obvious.

Despothera: Being a wildcard, it is almost certain you'll be far more important later than what you appear like in the present. When you go into a night with 4 or fewer players left alive, you will learn who the remaining witches are.

Darthe: If you happen to die at anytime you will kill someone in an attempt to take down the scum who killed you. Or you'll kill some innocent schmuck, dying in a blaze of violent glory. A Darthe kill will be obvious.

Lily: Each night, you will BANTER with someone. If this person is Dapianoplay3r or Despothera, they will also be informed of who you are. If its anyone else they'll just note someone bantered with them.

Witches:

Witches win when all townies are dead or nothing can prevent this from happening. Witches can freely communicate with each other and have a nightly kill. There are 3 witches.

Cloud: Obviously mafia since he claimed Doctor. Oh there's no Doc in this setup? Well you're a Witch anyways, and you'll be informed of who Ithillian and Csarmi check each night, but not who checked who.

Hallia: Whenever Despot is modding the game, you can bet that Hallia rolls Scum. Using the power of Lurking, you learn at the end of each Night Phase who the Angels voted to Protect. ( )

Lenlo: Due to everyone telling you everything about themselves even when they really shouldn't, you learn the role of whoever the witches should kill. This DOES not apply to WWWWWWombat's kills or Darthe's revenge kill.

Other Mechanics

Timing: Days will last 72 hours. Nights will last 24 hours. There will be a NO to start the game, no abilities will be able to be activated during this time. After the game has progressed past a certain point, day phases will be shortened to 48 hours, but advance notification will be given for this.

Lynches: We're gonna do a hybrid hammer system here. If everyone has voted at least once, then "hammer" votes (votes which put an absolute majority on someone) will count and no other votes will count after that. If everyone has not voted yet, then the lynch will go to deadline BUT- those not voting once the deadline hits in this circumstance may have something negative happen to them. It could be anything ranging from a simple PR, a temporary restriction on abilities, or even a modkill. Who knows.

Deaths: Roles are not revealed upon death. This is obviously something important to take note of.

Votes: Lynch votes should be formatted thusly: Vote Player X

For mobile users, the code to use is

Vote Despothera[/color

You can copy paste it or memorize it.

-

Soup: At night, instead of making the group Night Kill, a witch may instead choose to drink Soup. Doing so allows them to Match a player to an Innocent role one at a time until they are incorrect or choose to stop. Each correctly Matched player dies.

A successful Match will only give the 'so and so died' message. On an incorrect match, the message is 'Xanthippe the Witch attempted to Soupkill Yolanda the [incorrect role], but failed', but if no players have been killed that night with Soup, the identity of the Witch is not revealed - 'A Witch attempted to Soupkill Amelia the [incorrect role], but failed'. If there are any questions about this mechanic, please feel free to ask.

-

Cosmic, the Faithful Panda: On Day 1, there is a plurality vote for Cosmic to be a player's friend (witches choose who wins a tie). Cosmic always Lynch votes the same as his friend, adding an extra vote. If Cosmic's friend dies, Cosmic leaves the game. Votes for this mechanic only occur on D1, and should be formatted thusly: Cosvote Player X. (this is essentially just a vote to turn someone into a doublevoter the rest of the game)

And for mobile users, the code for the above-

Cosvote Despothera

-

Angels: Dead players become Angels. Each Night, the Angels decide by plurality vote (in the angel, or dead thread) to Protect a player (tie = no protect). A Protected player can't die to regular kills that night (WWWWWWombat/witch nk). "No Protect" is a valid vote.

Angels get the results of Ithillian's checks at the end of each night. Angels are unable to give Protection when there are four or fewer living players at the start of night.

-

Death Curse: Once per game during Day, dead Witches may cast a Death Curse, which renders any Protection that Night ineffective. After casting a Death Curse, the Witch may not vote any further in Angel chat (but can still post in it). Living players are not informed of a Death Curse. Angels are not informed of a Death Curse until the end of that night.

-

Witches Last Gasp: If a Witch dies to a standard lynch (not Verbal or Darthe), their power continues to work for the coven that night.

-

Night Kill Survival: If a player survives being killed at night there is no public announcement made. However, the player is told privately that they survived.

-

Priority

Day Action Priority:

- Start of day + announcements
- Day ends
- Lynch if majority, allow Verbal to pick if no majority or no lynch (if alive)
- (Day 1 only) Cosmic joins his friend
- Darthe Revenge if lynched
- Witches Death Curse
- WWWWWWombat informed if he can kill

Night Action Priority:

- Angel Protect
- Kills (WWWWWWWombat, Witch nk/soup)
- Darthe Revenge if killed
- Mish Save
- Despothera player count check
- Info roles resolve

Other Rules

- Have fun. Don't get too crazy (keep the atmosphere from getting toxic)
- NO BAH POSTS WHATSOEVER! Because this is a no coroner game, and has unusual mechanics, letting slip anything after you die could present problems. So please, once you die, do not post at all in the game thread anymore. You will be directed to Angel Chat where you can BAH! to your heart's content
- No editing
- No outside communication
- Do not participate in activity that is outside the spirit of the game. This includes stuff like posting or discussing role pm's, using anything outside of the game to try and clear someone, etc. If you're unsure if something might be outside the spirit of the game, please ask me first.
- Mod's word is law. If I make some kind of announcement or rule change, I expect it to be adhered to.
Please read all spoilers, it's pretty vital that everyone is aware of all the various mechanics

Lenlo (7): Wombat, Vos, Leelou, Lily, Alanna, Jack, Dice
Dice (1): Pray

Lily (1): Pray
Alanna (1): Jack
Wombat (1): Lily

Deadline for Day 1

Votes since last VC:

I am around. But, I am not keen on voting Lenlo. The votes on him are too convenient and easy. Voting him for joke vote seems too easy

It is irrelevant anyway. Since it is a hybrid hammer system, he is already lynched, if I am right.

Out of all the votes on him, the dice vote seems the scummiest. The game does not need to consolidate. There will always be a lynch as long as the character Verbal is alive (which he is). So, dice trying to vote under the pretext of consolidation does not sit well for me.

vote dice

Lenlo has been lynched. The Panda is joining Leelou.

Night starts when Despo comes and posts the night start schtuffs.

Final Day 2 Vote Count:

Scenes from throughout the game:

End of Day 1- (will c/p it in once I write it #lazymod)

End of Night 1-

All three witches were gathered around the small cauldron, and were looking at eachother with a strange sort of excitement. Finally one nodded to the others, and then dipped a ladle into the pot and poured out some of the mixture into a clay bowl sitting nearby. Returning the ladle, she picked up the bowl and raised it to her lips. A grin broke out on her face, and the other two witches started to cackle softly. She finally closed her eyes and then started tipping the bowl back. She started to imagine the face of the one she would focus on first, and as the visual popped into her head, she felt a sudden rush of adrenaline. The soup tasted magnificent, she could feel every fiber, every morsel resonating with her entire body, and waves of energy reverberated back and forth as she rocked back and forth in the trance. She finally opened her mouth and said one word.

Lily has been Soupkilled.

The three witches finally stopped cackling to one another. Theirs laughs echoed in the night, and then the silence became deafening as the Souper contemplated offering another name. Finally she went for the ladle again, drawing two soft inhales of breath from the other witches. The smiles remained on their faces however, and they nodded their heads as the Souper looked back and forth at them. She drew forth another serving of the frothy mix and served it into her bowl, returning the ladle once again. She raised the bowl yet again and started to drink, and as she did started to visualize her next target. Her heartbeat started to rise again, and she felt the power of the Soup coursing through her again. She opened her lips and uttered another name, and suddenly the taste turned sour in her, which she felt throughout her body. She quickly spat out the soup still in her mouth, and coughed and hacked for a bit, but looking up she knew the damage was done. The witches quickly cleaned up and donned their masks and garments and went to join the others.

Dawnflower the Witch attempted to Soupkill Pralaya the Turin, but failed!

End of Day 2-

It wasn't a debate so much as it was a condemnation. The day had gone by quickly and without much event, which was somewhat jarring after the unusual events in the night. A strange sort of mist had filled the air, and when it cleared one dead body was found, and another had been attacked. Everyone knew that the attack had been carried out by the spies sent to infiltrate them, and it hadn't been too hard to figure out who soon enough.

Once everyone gathered together, there was one who was weaker than everyone else, and tho the illusion kept her features from reverting back to their original form, her form betrayed her, pulsing faintly and displaying an ominous mark in the air above her. Whatever powers this witch had consorted with to do her task had shown her for the villain she was, and the only thing which delayed her imminent demise was waiting for everyone to add their thoughts. With that, the last individuals said their peace, and everyone gathered around.

Their was not much actual struggle, which in a way disappointed some of those there. They had imagined themselves using all the skill and cunning they had developed over the years to find subtle clues to lead them to rooting out the spies, having their victim gift wrapped for them sort of took some of the fun out of it. Their was still plenty of fun to be had however in disposing of the enemy for their host, so with that they bound their victim's hands and feet together and tied her to a makeshift stake.

The blaze was small and controlled, but this did not mute or soften the screams of the person being immolated. The reflection of the fire was caught in the eyes of all present, even the host Despothera, who stood off from the proceedings, nodding quietly to himself.

Dawn has been lynched.

Ok Im confused by lynch rules. So if everyone has placed a vote say within the first two hours of a game day, day ends? Whst happens if there's a tie, is that when the Verb role kicks in?

If the hammer was cast then yes. But I guess a tie is impossible in that case. As I understand, all this means is that hammers don't count until there are players who didn't cast a vote. Not a clue what good this rule is tho.

MISH, do YOU know where fake me could be found? I can promise amnesty if you turn him over to the proper authorities.

Also don't mock the unicorn. See that knife for a horn he has? He ain't afraid to stab someone.

What if you were the fake you? Would that be like dividing by zero?

Then I would be lynching myself. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
